THE NEXT DAY HAD BEEN QUITE ODD TO EXPERIENCE,ย for F/n at least. It was so weird how they changed their personalities so much, how they changed the way they treated her.
It made her feel more welcomed. They made her feel much more welcome in the class. And although it was slightly unusual, she was surely not letting it ruin the happiness that swirled around her.
Moreover, about the rescue she had, the pro heroes arrived at the scene and told the children to back off. The heroes were this close to capturing the League of Villains but their hard work didn't pay off.
Instead, they were transported elsewhere by a horribly and irritably familiar black portal.
The day came by quickly. Breakfast was amazing and lunch wasn't so lonely. In fact, everyone in the class sat close to each other at the nearby tables of the cafeteria.
They apologized to her a lot. Mainly the girls, Midoriya, Kaminari, Kirishima and Sero. Though, both Jiro and Asui just gave her a tight hug every time they bump into one another, telling her how they missed her so.
Recalling the painful memory, she had come to a conclusion that Mina was the one who apologized most.
"F/n..." Mina's cheerful, energetic voice was nowhere to be heard. Instead, replaced by the weak, sorrowful tone.
"What is it, Mina?" the girl asked, pausing in her steps as she was about to return to her room. It was nearly night and she had just finished unpacking. She ate dinner and was about to go to her dorm room when she was interrupted by the girl in pink.
Literally.
"F/n," she repeated, head still down as she clenched her hands tightly into a fist, "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry for how I treated you last time. I'm so sorry for not wanting to be your friend."
F/n looked at her sad expression, making her want to cry herself. She did not like it when someone was crying. No matter who the person was, she would cry with them. Even if she knew it was fake like in the movies.
"Mina..." she whispered.
The said girl took a sharp breath through her nose. "Please forgive me," she said, with her tear-filled eyes, "Even if you don't, it's fine. But please don't hate me."
The ash-blonde stayed quiet, listening to the whimpers of the girl which made her form tears of her own.
"I'm sorry..." she apologized, "I want to be your friend. You're so nice to me but I was so rude to you."
"You weren't."
"H-Huh?" Mina's heartbeat quickened upon hearing the girl's words. Was she forgiven? Could she finally be friends with her?
"You weren't rude to me," she said with a slight crack in her voice, "I'm sorry you had to think that way."
"Don't say sorry! I'm supposed to be the one saying sorry..." Mina said, looking down once again.
Tears slowly slid down F/n's cheek as she stared at the crying girl in front of her. She sounded so sincere. And even if she wasn't it wasn't like she cared. It would only mean that she had more friends to talk to.
"I forgive you," she said, approaching the girl, "Can we be friends, Mina?"
"Yes!" the alien-girl exclaimed, "Please..."
The blonde smiled, wrapping her arms around the other girl as they knelt down on the floor, sharing cries of their own.
It was afternoon once again and the main area of the dorm building was filled with shouts and exclaims.
"No, no, no! You can't be that good!" Kaminari whined, groaning as he threw his head back with the controller in his hands.
"You're just an idiot," Bakugou grumbled.
"Let me try," Kirishima chimed in, snatching away the controller from Kaminari.
The girls sat on the couch, watching as the boys fought over the controller. Some giggled while others had smiles on their faces, which was the case for F/n.
The girl smiled as she watched her brother and his friends compete in Mario Kart. Video games weren't originally her thing until she met Kenma.
The boy had taught her well in the game of defeating the monster in his PSP that she knew she could beat her classmates with a single snap.
Thinking about Kenma made her stomach churn.
She hadn't been thinking about her first-ever friends in a while and she wondered about how they were doing in their dimension. They had been so kind to her and treated her so nicely that she thought she was gone.
All until she realized she wasn't.
She sighed, leaning back against the couch even more with eyes staring blankly on her hands.
Jiro, being closest to her, heard her. She patted her back gently as if telling her everything was okay despite not knowing what her problem was.
The purple-headed girl was used to it. 'It' being the girl in blonde not telling her what her problem was and instead kept it to herself.
That was one of the plus sides of Jiro. She, Asui and Todoroki were the only ones who did not push her in saying what was bothering her and instead show that they were there if she needed them.
The action itself made her calmer than usual. Perhaps it was time to say goodbye to her friends. Her friends that approached her first.
One thing for sure, she would never forget them.
The blonde girl let out a short groan before sitting up. She glanced at her left and saw Jiro's worried expression.
"I'm hungry," she said, smiling reassuringly. Jiro let out a smile of her own before following her friend to the kitchen.
Another thing was that there was definitely no one, no one at all, that could ever compete against F/n and her way of covering her thoughts and emotions.
A couple of their other classmates sat there in the kitchen conversing. Iida caught sight of them and decided to greet them.
"How do you like the dorms?" the class representative asked.
"It's really comforting," she stated, "I enjoy being here. Though, I had quite a hard time sleeping last night."
Last night.
The two words made her blush as she recalled her and her friend's encounter. The stars were a beautiful sight to see and she did not expect at all to take in the sight with one of her friends.
Were they friends, though?
She hoped they were.
Didn't she?
She shook her head at the thought. There was no way that Todoroki could like her that way. Though his expression when their hands slipped was very... mournful.
F/n grabbed her favourite snack and walked towards the kitchen island, sitting beside Jiro who was munching her own bag of chips.
To her luck, a familiar heterochromatic boy walked over to her and sat next to the empty chair to her left.
He looked at her and said, "Hello, F/n."
Startled, she took a quick glance at him before focusing on eating the food.
"H-Hello... Todoroki... kun..." she said, adding word by word every time she thinks she needs to be more formal with the already formal boy.
'Kun?' he thought, 'Did I up the level of our friendship?'
Todoroki tilted his head slightly at the girl's peculiar attitude before returning to eat his cold soba.
And that was it. Her first day in the UA dorm with her class 1-A classmates.
