" suspicions exhaust me because of my weak heart, i'm blinded "
solar, mamamoo - destiny
Haewon's POVarrival at the new location was reasonably fast, everyone had settled in nicely despite bringing no belongings with them; we all assumed that everything necessary would already be inside the mansion. there were opposite rooms in the hallways, one side for the females and the other side for the males.
It was already the late afternoon and Hongjoong had stated that dinner would be served earlier than usual. Laying down on my new bed, I took in all the fancy objects around the room: a large window to the right, followed by a ivory white mirror table with tiny spotlights curved round the edge.
Cute.
To the left, a vase of tulips and freesias lied, shimmering vastly in the sunlight. A navy blue dressing closet sat in the corner, covered by a round coral beanbag. Scented candles left their aroma gracefully as the fragrances of honey and mandarin tickled my nose buds. It felt so homely, but that was probably their plan - make everything seem normal, when it wasn't.
A tender tap to the door disrupted my contemplations as a tall, pink haired man opened it with a amiable smile.
"You coming to dinner?" he asked.
"Yeah, but I don't think what i'm wearing is appropriate." I replied, staring down at my black tube top hidden by a jersey and leggings on bottom, a tiny half-moon necklace rested above.
He paused, looking at me with an unsure expression before peeking his head into the corridor and back to me. "It's fine don't worry, you should see what Lisa has on..."
I scoffed, envisioning the revealing outfit. Happy with the member's approval, I got up and walked with him down the hall.
"Yunho." he said.
"Haewon, it's nice to meet you Yunho!" I chirped, flashing him my pearly whites.
I admit I was being bittersweet, but there was such genuine vibes around him that I didn't feel the need to act distant.

Reaching the main hall, everyone had already taken their seats on the extended table. Jennie was beside Lisa who had an empty seat to the right of her. Yunho and I departed as we took our space. Across, lied fine china decorated with patterns that were from talented makers; squeaky clean cutlery and napkins parted next to it. A crystalline chandelier hovered above us as the candela's sat in uniform.
Little chatter began to increase louder as my exploration of the room was cut short when I noticed who was eyeing.
San.
Quietly, sat opposing to me, his focus never left me once. Was he possibly checking me out?
Then I realised that my blouse was unzipped, revealing my cleavage to almost everyone in the room. Rose worked it's way up my cheeks as I rapidly fastened the slit. The dimpled man chuckled softly at my actions, before facing Hongjoong who was starting to speak. The embarrassment haunted my mind.
"I hope you have all found your stay here welcoming so far, if there is anything that is bothering you about your bedroom; feel feel to speak with our head maid, Park Jihyo." he explained, motioning to the stunning brown bobbed woman at the door. She bowed with a grateful presence.
After a few more words and comments, the food was served. Egg fried rice served with vietnamese spring rolls, vegetables and sesame dressing. It was absolutely delicious. The last few days were spent on such little food that I was ravenous with my serving.
We all ate in silence and once done, conversation stirred up instantly.
"How have you been holding up?" my older sister questioned with a hint of sympathy.
I sighed, using my fingertips to clear my knots. "I'm fine Yeji, just a bit skeptical."
Since time passed, I had always been the one to shut my feelings out from everyone (apart from Yeji and Jennie) because I feared they would use it against me. Trust is easy to earn but when it gets broken, it takes almost forever to gain back. Many reckless acts were committed during my teen hood and till today I wish they were never done - including letting my feelings get the best of me.
The clock struck seven and one by one, everyone began to leave. I was about to exit when San came up to me.
"Haewon right? would you like to watch a film together?" he asked shyly.
I wasn't sure of his intentions but there was no harm in what he said. Nodding in agreement, we strolled out and down the hallway and to the furthest staircase. Deja vu struck me unexpectedly as I felt as if I had already been in this place before. I shook it off as fatigue and followed him up.
His room was much more spacious than the rest, a colossal flat screen tv plastered on the creamy wall, in the direction of the dark grey sofa filled with designer pillows and blankets. To the furthest corner of the room lied a open balcony over a beautiful view and a spiralled staircase ascending up to what seemed his bedroom.
San hopped over and onto to the couch, signalling for me to join him. I agreed and sat close beside him as he pulled the fluffy cover along us both. For around half an hour, we chose to watch a horror movie but it wasn't as good as we hoped; we then decided to get to know each other and talk about random topics.
Awkwardness rarely ever appeared, so I felt at ease with him. Yet, inside my head, a conflict of whether I should stop being so open or begin to trust him was battling it out.
"I think we should call it a night." I decided, peering at the ever so circular clock hit eleven. The vibrant eyed man pouted, before rubbing his head like a clingy cat on my neck.
"But I don't want you to go Haewon." he said sadly.
His silky hair tickled my chin as I felt a bond of affection begin to form. It smelt of fresh strawberries, the very smell of my mother's hair. He shifted his head position, now facing my way and breathing ever so faintly; not long before his lips brushed upon my sensitive neck.
"San, what are you-"
"Shhh." he said, delivering tender pecks while his hand searched my body.
The arousal had intensified as I let a quiet moan, making San smirk and continue. Confusion overwhelmed me since I was unsure as to why he was doing this, despite us only knowing each other for a day.
San's POV
I knew this was wrong but resisting just made me crave her even more. Everything about Haewon was unexplainable. From the moment I laid eyes on her, the only thing I thought about was her.
But I couldn't help but question the bruises under her chin. At first they looked like birthmarks but by the way she flinched every time I kissed them I knew they weren't.
Nosiness overpowered me as I stopped and fell back to my space, awaiting to ask for answers.
Suddenly, tears began to trickle down the black haired girl's cheek. Was it because of me? Or was it because of someone else?
