Chapter 15

Rhydian's POV

Knock knock... Knock knock. I heard someone grumble as I turned and placed an arm around Maddy's waist.

Shan:"who is it?"

Roman:"wake up lazy bones."

Tom:"go away."

Roman:"strict orders bruh. Get up now or the doors gettin broken down."

Shan:"ugh were up were up."

Roman:"good."

I heard Shan get up. She went to the bathroom then came back and woke Harry Ava Tom then last of all me and mads. Shan went down first and as teeth were brushed the others followed. I came down last. I'd had another restless night. I looked at all my friends sat in their pyjamas lazily eating breakfast and watching TV at the same time. Jack and Nicko were sat besides me discussing there latest game plays. Everyone seemed to be safe so why was this feeling not going away. We finished breakfast and we all helped clean up. The door bell rang and Brian shouted he'd open it. As I was heading into the living room I heard a familiar annoying voice. I motioned Maddy to go in and went to the door Mia behind me. I fully opened the door and saw Kara stood there her hand held out.

Kara:"I'm the student body representative At Bradlington high. My mum just told me to welcome you to the neighbourhood." She had a firm hold on Brian's hand and was looking him up and down. When she saw me she let go of his hand. "Rhydian. What are you doing here?"

Brian:"were family." Kara looked slightly shocked. But she regained her posture as before."

Kara:"I'm Kara by the way and you are?" She asked looking suggestively at Brian. Mia stepped in front of him.

Mia:"my husband. Well thank you for the welcome. Is that everything?"

Kara:"yes that's all. I can see where Rhydian gets his good looks from. It was nice meeting you. See you at school Rhydian." She turned and winked. She started walking of before she stopped and turned. "You know when someone moves here there's normally a party and the neighbourhood is usually invited. Just letting you know so you don't break tradition."

Mia:"when we have a party we'll let you know." With that Mia ushered us in and closed the door. She sighed exasperated and walked of Brian trailing behind her.

I walked into the living room. We decided to have a lazy day. Shan was reluctant at first saying that she had extra work to finish off but she finally agreed. We played with jack and Nicko watched TV ate popcorn and junk food. But throughout the whole of it I was on edge. Unable to fully engage in any of the activities. Just before dinner at around 3 o'clock Maddy pulled me aside.

Mads:"Rhydian what's wrong and don't say nothing because I know there is something." She asked gently. I couldn't hide it any more the feeling was driving me crazy. I felt like I couldn't breathe anymore.

Me:"I have this nagging feeling that won't go away. It feels more like an instinct telling me there's danger ahead. That something bad is going to happen. And for the past few days I've been having nightmares. It's put me on edge. I'm just scared mads. I swore to protect my family. I swore to protect you." Mads looked at me concerned

Mads:"Rhydian... Look I can't explain the dreams or the feeling but as a wolfblood I've always been taught to trust my instincts. So I completely understand why your on edge if instinct is letting you know that there is danger. But you can't do this alone. Look why don't we tell the others and see of we can figure this out." She moved to walk away but I grabbed her arm and turned her around. She looked at me confused.

Me:"no we can't tell them mads. I don't want to worry them. Please. I couldn't keep it to myself anymore and I could only think of you to tell. But please don't tell the rest of them."

Mads:"Rhydian.."

Me:"no mads promise me." She nodded.

Mads:"ok." I let go of her arm. I couldn't look her in the eye. They were filled with confusion, love, fear but above all worry. Worry for me and my well being. I just looked down. She kissed my cheek. "Your not alone Rhydian. Please don't try to do this on your own." I nodded as I wrapped my arms around her and held her close for a moment a tear escaping my eyes. I heards footsteps and quickly wiped it before letting Maddy go. Ava came round the door.

Ava:"come on love birds. Dinners being served." She looked at both of us. "You guys ok?" She asked concerned. Me and mads nodded then followed her down.

Tom had grabbed a peice of chicken so had to say grace.

Tom:"dear god thank you for the food on this table, for our family sat around the table, thank you for filling our hearts with love and making sure that we are not alone. But most of all thank you for football. Amen."

Everyone:"amen." I could feel Maddy looking at me when he said that were not alone. I chose to not look back at her disappointment.

Mia:"so how are we going to do this?"

Me:"do what?"

Mia:"babe you can't just walk in to the Vaughn's place and tell them straight out. You need to explain to them slowly and gently. How do you think they will take it?"

Me:"to be honest I don't know but I think it'll be ok."

Mia:"well I guess that's a good start." I nodded.

We finished dinner and cleaned the dishes away. We all went to change as we had spent the day in our pyjamas. I packed a bag with some essentials as I would be sleeping at the Vaughn's today. Maddy would be returning today as well. My heart jolted at the thought. Maddy changed back into the clothes she had arrived in. Before we left the room I took her in my arms.

Me:"I don't want you to go."

Mads:"and I don't want to go but I have to. I'll be back soon I promise." I kissed her tenderly yet passionately. Our breathing becoming heavy. Our hands starting to wander. My kisses getting more urgent. I was pulling Maddy closer. It looked like I was trying to climb inside of her. Mia's voice calling us broke us apart. Our foreheads were leaning against each other . We were panting. Our eyes closed.

Me:"I love you so much Maddy."

Maddy:"and I you Rhydian. I love you so much too."

We broke apart and walked down. We all got in to the cars. I was taking my own. Maddy Ava and Shan came with me. Maddy had to lie across the seat covered in a blanket so I couldn't take no one else. I backed the car out of the driveway first. I was ahead of the others and they followed. As I turned into the road leading to the Vaughn's I could see heavy black smoke billowing into the air. Panic struck in. I put my foot down on the accelerator as I neared I had to break rapidly as the road was shut. The car skidded to a halt. I got out and the rest followed. There were fire engines and police cars keeping people back. As i neared closer I saw that my nightmares had come true. The Vaughn's house was engulfed in flames. The fire frantically licking the walls bringing them down. I heard a gut wrenching scream but looking around I noticed no one else seemed to have heard it. I was rooted to the spot. Numbness consumed my body. Chills ran through my veins shot down my spinal cord before a heavy burden of guilt settled over me. I could feel no more. The orange red and yellow of the fire sharpened before dissolving becoming less clear. The smoke becoming heavier. Voices in the background at a distance. I tried moving forwards but something was holding me back. Darkness began closing in. I could see a flicker of light. I tried reaching for it. Then there was no more.

I was violently being shaken. I opened my eyes, only to remember the horrible nightmare. I sat bolt upright. Where was I. Had it been a nightmare or had it been real. I looked around me and saw Maddy sat with Mia. Both of them looking at me apprehensively. I seemed to be in a van in a bed. My only guess was that I was in an ambulance.

Me:"the Vaughn's. Mum dad." Mia got up and walked to me. She sat besides me on the bed and took my hands in her own. Maddy just stood besides me.

Mia:"baby, they're..." But before she finished I knew what she was about to say. I shook my head as tears rolled down my eyes. They were dead.

Me:"no they can't be. They can't. I was supposed to protect them. Keep them safe. This is all my fault. Whitewood suspected me and got to them. If they hadn't known me this wouldn't have happened." Maddy had pulled me into a hug her arm wrapped around my head my head on her chest weeping into her shirt. She softly stoked my hair trying to calm me. I felt Mia get up of the bed and leave the ambulance leaving us alone.

Mads:"Rhydian non of this is your fault. Whitewoods crazy. It's her fault. You didn't know. How were you to know she would do something like this?"

Me:"she warned me mads that she was going to make me pay. She didn't know about these guys or she would have attacked them too. And the dreams I should have done something."

Mads:"Rhydian it was just a dream you weren't to know it would come true." She let go of me and lifted my face to look into hers. "You listen to me. This isn't your fault. And now Whitewood will pay for what she did. I'm going to make sure of it." I nodded slowly as I let her words sink in still finding it hard to believe them. Then another thought came to me.

Me:"mads what if you get seen. you need to get out of here. I need to take you back. Your parents will be getting worried. And Jana she probably will be fussing about seeing you now."

Mads:"Rhydian your more important. Don't think about all that now."

Me:"no. I've lost enough loved ones today. I am not putting you in danger to. After I've talked to the police I'm taking you back." Then in a softer tone as I was embarrassed I asked quietly. "Will you stay with me whilst I talk to them?" Maddy nodded. Just then an officer opened the door to the van and walked in. Maddy sat beside me as the officer sat opposite.

me:"have you got her? Whitewood? This should be enough to put her behind bars. It's man slaughter. She burned them alive." I was tearing up again. Maddy gently squeezed my hand.

Officer:"mr Morris, unfortunately we don't know the whereabouts of dr whitewood. We have sent out search parties but I assure you that once she is found she will be serving a life sentence."

Me:"you don't know where she is? What if she does something else? How could you let her escape?"

Officer:"we're doing everything we can. Please calm down mr Morris."

Me:"CALM DOWN! HOW THE HECK CAN YOU ASK ME TO CALM DOWN. MY PARENTS ARE DEAD." I felt heat coursing through me as a low growl escaped my lips. I felt Maddy pull on my arm.

Mads:"Rhydian." her voice quivered. She sounded a little afraid. Hearing the fear instantly calmed me. I took slow deep breaths before looking at her then turning back to the officer. He also looked a little afraid.

Officer:"i understand your upset... I have a few questions to ask you. We can get them over and done with now or you can come to the police station later."

Me:"let's just get it over and done with." He nodded.

Officer:"how did you know whitewood. Why do you think she did this?"

Me:"she thought my girlfriend was a werewolf." I said glancing towards Maddy. I heard the officer snort. Thank goodness he thought it was ridiculous. " she thought that I had been bitten by Maddy and was also a werewolf. She printed some fake papers of blood tests and said that was her proof. She even managed to convince Liam hunter for a short time."

Officer:"yes we know about the hunters. Had to put a restraining order on her." I nodded before continuing.

Me:"she came to the school on Thursday threatening me. Mr Jeffries saved me from her and we were about to call the police but she left. She threatened me saying I would pay for her being called mad." I felt Maddy stiffen besides me. The officer was scribbling away. He finished writing before looking up.

Officer:"you were their foster son weren't you? Where were you earlier today?"

Me:"they treated me like a real son. My family from America have just moved here. I had been staying with them for the week. I was coming home today to stay here as I had school the next day."

Officer:"when did you last speak to them and see them? Can you tell me what they said and if they give any indication that they were in danger?"

Me:"I saw them yesterday. They came over for lunch and left after dinner. They talked to me alone. they asked me to call them mum and dad. Said they had waited for a long time to hear that from my mouth. They said I had always been their son. Then I dropped them of home. That had both hugged me. At one point I thought she was going to ask me something but then she hesitated and stopped. I was about to ask her but dad had walked in by then and it left my mind." Just then the door opened again and a female officer passed the officer a pice of folded up paper.

Female:"we've retrieved a safe from the house this was in it. If whitewood knew about this it could be the reason behind the attack." She closed the door and left. The officer opened the paper and skimmed through it.

Officer:"I think this May have been what she wanted to ask you about." He said handing over the paper. I took it and me and mads read it. They were adoption papers. They had wanted to adopt me. "I'm guessing the shocked face means you didn't know. Do you know if whitewood spoke to the Vaughn's. If they let it slip she probably thought they knew about you and judging from what your saying thought they were werewolves too." I shook my head.

Me:"not that I know of."

Officer:"ok I think that's enough for now. I'll call you if there is anything else." he stood and shook my hand. "We'll have her soon. I'm sorry for your loss." He left I folded the papers and put them in my pocket.

Me:"mads they wanted to adopt me." Maddy nodded smiling a little. "Come on let's get you back. Hopefully they catch her soon then you can come back here for good."

We stood up and got out. As soon as my feet touched the ground someone threw themselves at me and hugged me tightly. The ginger hair gave away the identity. Shannon. I put my arm around her and heard her sniffle.

Shan:"Rhydian I'm so sorry."

Me:"Shan you have nothing to be sorry for. It wasn't your fault." She straightened herself her arm still around my neck.

Shan:"it's not your fault either." She said looking intently into my eyes. I turned away. She forced my face back towards hers. "I have such an idiot of a brother." She said looking at me. "This was not your fault Rhydian."

Me:"so you all keep saying." She let go of me and took a step back.

Shan:"because it's true." The others joined and I told them about the adoption papers. I was given the safe as it wasn't part of evidence. They had the CCTV recording. Their will was written to me. They left me everything. Their money and the house. I wasn't aloud to see the bodies and they had been taken away.

Officer:"since whitewood burnt the house all her possessions and her house will be sold to give you money for this one to be rebuilt. Also her money will be given in addition as repayment. If you let us know the date of the funeral we'll have the bodies delivered so they can be buried." I just nodded. The officer left.

Me:"I'm taking Maddy back."

Ava:"well we'll come with you."

Me:"no because we don't know the situation over there. I can't put any of you in danger."

Ava:"but."

Me:"no buts Ava I love you all too much to lose you to. I don't think I could handle losing another loved one." Ava nodded. She hugged me.

Ava:"be careful bro."

Brian:"I'm coming with you. I'll stay in the car. I'm not letting you come back alone or drive after what you've just been through." I nodded. I was grateful for a driver as my legs felt like jelly. I gave Mia the keys to my car and Brian got into his own. Me and Maddy got into the back Maddy resting her head on my lap as she lay across the seat. As we drove away I turned back to take a final look at the place I once called home.

Brian drove to the border. We were there in 10 minutes due to his fast driving. We had ridden the whole way in silence. Me and Maddy got out concealing our selves so other wolfbloods couldn't smell us. We sprinted round the outside of the camp and entered the hutch from the back. As soon as we entered Emma bustled us in laying Maddy down and covering her in a blanket.

Emma:"where were you guys. Jana is furious. She demanding to see Maddy."

Me:"the Vaughn's." I let out. "The house got burned. They're dead. Whitewood." I stopped almost in tears again.

Emma:"oh pet I'm so sorry." She hugged me tightly. Just them Winnie walked in.

Winnie:"about time. What's going on?"

Emma:"I'll explain in a minute." She said letting go of me. I sat next to Maddy as Jana burst through the door.

Jana:"Rhydian what are you doing here? Why are you crying? How come you didn't come this weekend?" An idea came to me.

Me:"I've been here since Friday night Jana. I thought Maddy was going to die. She just woke up. These are tears of joy." She scowled. She looked annoyed.

Jana:"you should have let me know. I missed you so much." I gagged.

Me:"my mate nearly died. I couldn't think of anything else." Jana's look turned to anger. A scent must have caught her nose as she sniffed the air. But she shook her head and chose to ignore it. I knew she could smell mine and Maddy's mixed scents.

Jana:"Rhydian your too young to know who your mate is. Look Maddy's awake now. Why don't you come to my hut and we can eat diner before you leave.

Me:"I'm fine where I am. I think I'll feed Maddy them leave." I could see Winnie smiling. Jana stomped her foot breathed fine in an exasperated whisper and left, slamming the door behind her.

Winnie:"now what's going on?" I explained everything that had happened over the last week to Emma dan mum Bryan and Winnie. When I was done I turned to Emma and dan.

Me:"once she's caught you can come back for good." They smiled and nodded. I could see mum hiding tears. I hugged them all them kissed Maddy briefly as I turned to leave. I sprinted back to the car. I got in the front seat and closed my eyes.

Brian:"you ok?" I nodded.

Me:"I will be." Brian patted my shoulder as he turned the car and drove back. When I got home I went straight to my room. I was left alone for 10 minutes before the whole family came in. I couldn't see Shan Ava Tom and Harry so I guessed they had been dropped of home.

Dom:"listen kiddo this ain't your fault. Were gonna make her pay."

Letty:"yeah bubba. Don't beat yourself up about it."

Han:"remember what you said to me about Giselle? They would want you to be happy bruh. They wouldn't want you blaming yourself."

Rome:"yeah cuz. They loved you for real man."

Tej:"and were here for you.

Leo:"yeso. no nos iremos (yes. We are not leaving)."

Santoz:"cheer up little brother."

Suki:"they were proud of you wolfie."

Rosa:"they're right Rhydian. Your upsetting them by being like this. I know that they are watching over you just like Vince Giselle Leon and Jesse are."

Brian:"were gonna avenge their deaths bro. Once shes in prison."

Mia:"we can bring Maddy and her family back. You have to move forward babe. Not right away. You have a right to mourn. But you can't blame your self. Now get some rest. I'll call school in the morning and explain."

me:"no I want to go to school. It's the only way to try and not think about it."

Mia:"ok. Try and get some sleep then." I nodded.

Nicko:"uncle Rhydian, me and jack will sleep with you then we can scare away the monsters." I smiled at him and nodded. Mia kissed my forehead as they all left and me Nicko and jack cuddled up under the duvet. I wished Maddy goodnight and closed my eyes. "Rhydian tío Buenas noches (Goodnight uncle Rhydian)."

Jack:"goodnight uncle Rhydian."

Me:"buenas noches Nicko. Buenas noches Jack." I was soon drifting of to sleep.

Morning came quickly. Jack and Nicko had really scared my monsters away. I left my two sleeping nephews in the bed and changed. I came down to be greeted by breakfast. Dom Brian and tej were sat at the table. They looked up when they saw me.

Dom:"you ok kiddo?" I nodded as I sat besides them. Mia handed me a plate of toast bacon and eggs. I picked up on slice of toast put one slice of bacon across half of it folded in half and bit into it. I chewed it slowly then swallowed before taking another bite. When I had finished it I pushed my plate back.

Me:"can't have no more." I looked at my watch it read 8:35 am. " I'm gonna get going." Mia pulled me into a hug.

Mia:"keep your phone on. I'll ring you later to see how you are."

I nodded picked up my car keys and headed out. I slung my bag into the front passenger seat and slowly took the car out of the driveway. I headed to the main road knowing all my friends were probably already at school. I put my foot down on the accelerator and shifted gears. The speed making adrenaline course through my veins allowing me to forget my problems for a moment. As I neared the school I gently eased my foot of the gas and slowed down changing to a lower gear. As I grew closer to the school I could see black smoke again. Pulling into the parking lot and rushing forward I saw flames once again. My bag flinging over my shoulder I rushed to Harry as I saw him fighting a fireman. I placed a hand on his shoulder causing him to turn.

Me:"Harry how did this happen? Where are Shan Ava and Tom?" Harry pointed to the door. He was in tears barely able to speak.

Harry:"Shannon. Ava. Dark room."

As soon as he said their names panic stool in. I had to save them. I opened my bag and pulled out a vial of calming potion. I gulped it in one feeling it flow through my veins and start working straight away. I doged the firemen and ran in. I heard mr Jeffries screaming my name but I had to save my sisters. As soon as I was in the building I was engulfed in heavy black smoke. I coughed and felt my right wrist vibrate. I looked down to see my bracelet glowing. I fingered the cold metal and then as if by magic a blue light shone out of it surrounding me. I felt the temperature around me cool and the air become clean. The protection shield. I ran to the dark room at top speed. I kicked down the door and black smoke blasted out.

Me:"Shan Ava." I called out. I heard coughing. Then I saw them. Crouched behind a table. I ran to them and they stood and hugged me the shield now covering them. I started running with them as we got out of the dark room but I heard someone shout for help. It was coming from the girls bathroom. I took the bracelet of and handed it to Shan as Ava looked to weak. "You guys get out."

Shan:"what about you."

Me:"there's someone back there. I can't just leave them." She nodded.

Shan:"be careful."

Me:"ok now go." I pushed them towards the entrance as I ran back to the bathroom. I felt sweat trickle down my back and my eyes stung. There slumped on the floor unconscious were Kara and Jimi. I picked them both up and placed them over my shoulders. I made my way back to the entrance. I ran as fast as I could trying to keep a firm grip on the two bodies I was holding. I heard something fall behind me but I dared not to turn around. I ran at full wolf speed down the corridor and out the door. Paramedics took Jimi and Kara of me as I sunk to the floor my legs feeling like lead. Me Jeffries wrapping me up and hugging me.

Mr. J:"Rhydian are you ok? How stupid can you get. Why would you go into a burning building?" He looked at me fear and worry etched on his face. I replied simply

Me:"I couldn't leave them." He nodded at me. Then all of a sudden I was drowning in people. Shan Harry Tom Ava Mia rosa suki. I heard all their voices swimming into my ears. After they moved away and let me breath I stood up slightly shaky. Tom was looking at me.

Tom:"you saved them?" He said as more of question than a statement.

Me:"I did what I had to. They're my sisters." He nodded. Then I saw something I thought I would never see. A single tear rolled down toms cheek as he hugged me. He let go and put his arm around Ava as I gingerly walked over to the paramedic to get checked out. I realised my whole family were here and they were helping out wherever possible. Just as my check up finished my phone rang. I took it out of my pocket and looked at the screen. I didnt recognise the number so I picked up apprehensively.

Me:"hello."

:"hi is that mr Morris?"

Me:"yes. Speaking."

:"I'm the officer that interviewed you yesterday."

Me:"oh ok. Is there something wrong. Do you know about the school. I'm sure it was the same person."

Officer:"that's why I called. Unfortunately it was whitewood but we managed to catch her as she was trying to escape. I called to let you know she is now in a top security prison cell. Shes been put down for life for destroying a public place inflicting harm and man slaughter." I felt myself relax and even though I was meant to be mourning I felt myself smile. Maddy could finally come home.

Me:"what about the school?"

Officer:"unfortunately we can't do much but we will be donating the rest of her life saving towards the rebuild. An officer will be meeting the headmaster shortly to hand over the money."

Me:"ok thank you."

Officer:"no problem. If theres anything else we can do please just call."

Me:"I will do. Bye."

Officer:"bye now." And the phone went dead. I saw 17 expectant faces looking at me.

Me:" it was the officer. They've got whitewood. She's been put down for life." I visibly saw them all relax and breathe a sigh of relief. I hadn't even noticed them being tensed. I had been so worried about keeping everyone safe I failed to realise what the others might be going through. This made me feel crap. I looked at Mia. "Can we all help as much as we can?" She nodded. I walked over to mr Jeffries. He turned when he heard me behind him. "Sir what's going to happen now? We all want to help."

Mr. J:"that's very kind of you all." He smiled. "I'm afraid there isn't much we can do. Half the school is damaged. We can't teach all the student in half a school. a few teacher have just quit on us and unfortunately we don't have the funds to have half the school rebuilt. So we'll have to teach only a few classes with the classrooms left but only for a couple of weeks and parents have been informed of other close by schools to send their children to."

Me:"how much do we need for repairs? What if we raise the money. And our house can be used to keep some of the classes right Mia?" I asked turning to her. She nodded.

Mia:"of course. And if you don't mind me asking which teachers have quit?"

Mr. J:"the IT teacher, the art teacher and the maths teacher."

Mia:"perfect." We looked at her confused. "Sorry what I meant to say was you now have an art teacher, a maths teacher and an IT teacher." Mr Jeffries still looked confused. I smiled.

Me:"sir suki here." I said pointing to suki. "Is the greatest artist in the world. If anyone knows anything about IT it's tej. His brain is like a computer. And Mia has majors in maths."

Mia:"we don't have anything else to do I guess if the jobs are vacant we'll take them. If you'll have us of course."

Mr. J:"of course. I'll talk to the head master."

Me:"so how much money do we need sir?"

Mr. J:"Aaagh. Rhydian we need at least a couple of hundred thousand. Even if you raise the money you can't raise that much in the next few days. I guess there are no job vacancies."

Me:"but sir just say I do raise it then?"

Mr. J:"then we'll be able to get contractors on the job straight away and between your house and the school we could carry on the lessons for about a month or two and as soon as the school is done we can return back to normal. But it impossible."

Me:"no it isn't." Now mr Jeffries Shan Ava Ron and Harry look at me confused. The rest of my family can see what I'm thinking.

Dom:"there's one tonight in London kiddo. I know what your thinking."

Mr. J/Shan:"what are you thinking?"

Me:"sir I can have the money for you by tomorrow. So we can get the contractors on the build straight away."

Mr. J:"but how?"

Me:"I'm going to race."

mr. J:"but."

Me:"sir I have my license. It's the only way I can think of to earn clean easy money fast. I can't let Bradlington high close down." He just nodded.

Brian:"right me and Dom are coming with you. Mr Jeffries.."

Mr. J:"Tim. Please call me Tim."

Brian:"Tim. These guys will stay here and help. Roman is already contacting some builders and we will help with the build. Tej is a qualified electrition so he can do electrics. That way your saving money. If you let the parents know we can have the school up and running for tomorrow. You can decide who comes to our house and who stays at school. Right bro let's get going."

Tom:"I'm coming with you."

Ava:"so am I."

Harry:"me too."

Shan:"and me and I'm sure Maddy would want to come."

Me:"guys."

Harry:"no Rhydian were coming with you. Were family. We support each other." I nodded. As I was walking away I felt a hand on my arm. I turned to see mr Jeffries.

Mr. J:"be careful." I nodded. Mia and rosa and suki and Letty all hugged me and wished me luck. Then my two nephews kissed my cheeks and told me they knew I would win. As we neared the car I was stopped again. This time by Jimi.

Jimi:"I'm coming too."

me:"no you can't."

Jimi:"Rhydian you saved my life. The least I can do is come and cheer for you." I nodded and he followed. Dom Brian Shan and Harry got into Brian's car and Jimi Tom Ava and me got into mine. "Nice car. When did you pass?"

Me:"thanks. I passed on Saturday. The car was my present." Jimi nodded. I picked up my walkie talkie. "We have to pick Maddy up first."

Brian:"ok." His voice said coming out of the wallow talkie.

I turned the key and started the engine. It purred to life. I put my window down and pulled out of the school parking lot. Brian was already out and waiting. We drove up the forest lane until we reached the border of the wild pack. I stopped the car.

Jimi:"does Maddy's gran live in the woods."

Me:"erm no."

Jimi:"then why are we here?" Me tom and Ava shared a worried glance before Ava spoke up.

Ava:"Maddy's gran's friend is a doctor. She couldn't leave the surgery today so asked Maddy's parents to drive up here. There's a village on the other side but this is a shortcut. Maddy told us this morning she was coming down when we called her." Jimi nodded as he believed the story.

I sighed before getting out and trying not to run too fast with Jimi watching. As soon as I was out of view I ran full speed. Luckily I didn't bump into anyone. I ran straight to the hut but before I could open it the door opened and Winnie and Maddy were stood there.

Mads:"Rhydian what are you doing here is everything ok?" She asked rushing over to me. I nodded. I took her hand and pulled her in closing the door. Mum Emma Bryan Winnie and maddy all looked at me.

Me:"look I haven't got time to explain but I need Maddy now."

Winnie:"why?"

Me:"I'm travelling to London."

Emma:"Rhydian you have to tell us what's going on. You can't take Maddy pet Jana is already suspicious."

Me:"look I really don't have time. Whitewood she burnt the school too but they managed to stop the fire before the whole school burnt down. They've caught her now and she's been sentenced for life. I need to go London to race tonight to raise money so the school doesn't shut down. Once I'm back i can bring you guys home. But I can't leave without Maddy. I need her."

Emma:"look pet. You're already upset about your foster parents you can't race. Can you even drive?"

me:"I got my license on Saturday. Look this is me putting things right. Will you help me or not?"

Dan:"have they really got her? Can we really come home?" I nodded then turned to Winnie who hadn't said anything.

Winnie:"I guess I can make a potion to mess with her memory a bit. You guys are lucky I hate that brat." I smiled at her. "Now go." I nodded Grabbed Maddy's hand and ran faster than ever. We got to the car panting slightly. Maddy sat in the front passenger seat as I took the drivers seat. I picked up my walkie talkie.

Me:"cuz i need the address." I said pushing a button on the panel so a screen slid out. I pressed the power button and it came to life. Brian gave me the address and I typed it in on the touchscreen device.

Brian:"listen no NOS until you race. Mia will kill me."

Me:"don't worry but we do have spare right?"

Brian:"yeah in the secret compartment in your boot." I laughed

me:"let's do this."

Brian:"ok so I've worked it out. According to the traffic we should be there between 4-5 hours so well have about 2-3 hours or so before the race. It's 11 now. Don't drive to fast. You don't want to wear your tyres out."

Me:"I know I know." Then Dom's voice came through the talkie.

Dom:"ride or die." I replied repeating the line.

Me:"ride or die." I put the talkie down and looked back. "You guys might wanna put your seat belts on."

Tom:"if I was you I'd listen."

Jimi:"why?" He asked pulling the belt across.

Ava:"he drives really fast that's why."

I pulled my own belt on looked at Maddy for a moment who smiled at me then turned the car on. I drove out of the forest and slipped onto the main road. There was an empty straight road ahead, with traffic lights at the end. I pressed down on the accelerator and turned to Maddy who asked me if I knew what I was doing. I smiled at her still looking at her as the car gained speed. I was losing myself in her eyes and I could see a faint smile kissing her lips.

Jimi:"shouldn't you be watching the road. The lights are turning red and your driving really fast."

Ignoring Jimi I carried on looking at Maddy as I let go of the gas pedal and put my foot on the brake as the car halted to a stop just behind the line at the red lights. I heard Brian's voice shout across from his car. which broke our trance.

Brian:"he just did the stare and ride didn't he?" Maddy nodded. "He learnt that from me." Then Romans voice came out of the talkie.

Roman:"and you learnt it from me Brian."

We all laughed. i felt more at ease today. I was still upset about the Vaughn's but things seemed to be looking up. I asked Maddy to attach my iPod to the radio and play some music. I asked her to play my Spanish track playlist. A song called batalha pounded through the speakers. She turned the volume down a little as we pulled onto the motorway. I shifted gears and weaved through the cars. Me and Brian occasionally racing. Sometime me beating him and sometimes him beating me. I glanced at Maddy who had her eyes closed and seemed relaxed. I smiled at her before grasping her hand in mine and placing it on the gear stick. She opened her eyes as she turned towards me and smiled. I gently grazed her knuckles and her eyes fluttered close. I kissed her hand then placed it back on the gear stick. At 1ish Brian told me to pull in at the service station. We all decided we'd use the bathrooms and eat before carrying on. As the car park was empty I decided to drift into a parking space so as I neared I pulled up the handbrake pressing down on the gas pedal and turning the steering wheel at the same time. I climbed out to see I had parked perfectly. I walked round to Maddy's side and opened her door. She smiled as she took my hand and climbed out. The others also got out and stretched. Brian had parked next to me and had a grin on his face.

Brian:"show of. I told you not to wear your tyres out."

me:"they'll be fine." We all walked in and went to the respective bathrooms. I was out first so went to McDonald's as it had no queue. I ordered everyone a Big Mac meal passed over my debit card to be swiped and found a table large enough to seat us all. Maddy emerged first and walked right over. She sat besides me linking her arm through one of mine and leaning her head on my shoulder intertwining our fingers.

Mads:"will everything be ok now?"

Me:"yes it will." I kissed the top of her head but then we let go of each other as the others arrived. We ate quickly and for some reason today I actually felt hunger. Maybe because I knew things were only going to get better. I ended up finishing first devouring my meat.

Brian:"finally your hungers come back. It's good to see you eating like normal."I frowned at him but he just smiled. We finished eating and went back to the cars before driving off again soon entering the streets of London. It was 5 o'clock by the time we reached the place were the race was to be held. I picked up my talkie.

Me:"where now?"

Brian:"Let's check into a hotel. The race starts at 9. They delayed it by an hour. We can go to the shopping centre and get a pair of night clothes for the night and then we'll head back in the morning."

Me:"ok I'll follow you."

I followed Brian into the car park of a premier inn. We parked and got out. Before we walked in Brian stopped us.

Brian:"me Dom and Jimi can get one room with three single beds and you guys can share three rooms. A couple to each one is that ok?"

We all nodded. We walked in and Dom pulled out his card saying he would pay for the rooms. He payed and we were all passed our own key cards. We went to check out our rooms before we left To go to the shopping centre. The rooms were all next door to each other. We left our school bags in the room and we all left to go shopping. I decided I would buy my friends some other clothes to wear as we looked odd walking around in our uniforms. We all walked as the shopping centre was a 2 minute walk away from the hotel. We browsed a few shops. I hated shopping and so did mads but we found it ok as we were with our family and Jimi. Tom and Jimi wanted to look in jack jones so we went in their first. Tom saw a pair of jeans that he liked but he looked at the price and put them down looking at a pair of shoes instead. I discreetly picked up the jeans and Maddy smiled at me. I saw Jimi eying a checked shirt. When he moved away I also picked that up as well as the pair of jeans he had been looking at.

Tom:"let's go to a different shop."

Me:"get Jimi let me just pay for these." He looked at me suspiciously before nodding. I placed the clothes on the counter but before I could take my card out Brian had handed his card. I looked at him.

Brian:"your my little brother. I can't let you pay when your with me. You beat me for paying for the food but I'm paying for the rest." He smiled at me as the assistant bagged our purchases. Hand in hand with Maddy I walked out the shop.

Jimi:"what did you get?" Asked Jimi eyeing the bag I was holding.

Me:"I'll show you when we get back." He nodded.

Next we went into hollister. Maddy saw a pair of jeans and a hoodie that she liked. I found a matching male hoodie to Maddy's. I picked up all three things. Ava picked up a sequin top to look at it before putting it down. I picked it up and added it to the things I was already holding. Then I picked up a pair of the skinny jeans I knew she wanted. I had seen Tom looking at a jumper top so I added that to the other stuff. I told the guys to wait outside as me Maddy and Dom went to the counter. Dom wouldn't obviously let me pay. The sales assistant handed me two bags and we walked out. We went into police but we weren't in their long as I only needed a pair of jeans and they didn't do pyjamas. We went into next and I saw Shan eying a statue wearing baggy jean pants with a white shirt and a red jumper on top. But she slipped her hand into Harry's and the they strolled over to the nightie department. I asked a sales assistant to get me the whole suit. I knew Shan was a size 8. Keeping it hidden me and mads also went to the nightie part. We all picked out some night clothes. Maddy picked out an overly large shirt. The shirt was called a boyfriend shirt. I smiled at her. There were shorts or full length pants that could be bought with it. I picked up both to see Maddy giving me a confused look but I just smiled at her. Shan picked up some blue nighties with pink bunnies on. I knew she'd look cute in them. Ava decided on a nightie that read need my beauty sleep. She picked up a pair of Ali baba pants. Us guys just stuck to standard night clothes. Pants and a button up cotton shirt. We took our purchases to the till. I told them all to wait by the door besides Maddy and put everything on the till. Again Brian paid and the cashier handed over three bags which Brian took as I was already holding some. We walked out the shopping centre and back to the hotel Dom and Brian went straight to their own room handing me the bags and the rest of us clamoured into mine and Maddy's room. I put the bags on the bed.

Ava:"Rhydian what exactly did you buy?" I smiled at them.

Me:"well me and Maddy thought that we look kinda stupid walking around in our uniform so we got some day clothes too." I emptied out the bags with Maddy's help and they all gasped. They all recognised what was for each of them.

Jimi:"this must have cost loads."

Me:"don't worry about it. I was going to pay but my brothers wouldn't hear of it. They didn't mind. So let's all get changed now and not another word about money ok. Well rest eat and then head over to the race."

they nodded and picked up their stuff as they left the room. I locked the door and before I turned around I felt hands slip across my waist and a head lean against my back. I smiled as I picked Maddy's hand of my waist turned around placed her hands onto my back and placed my own on her shoulders. I leaned my forehead against hers.

Me:"alone at last." She smiled

mads:"hmmmm... Your so good to us."

Me:"what? I'm not."

Mads:"yes you are. And why did you say my name when you thought of the idea?"

Me:Maddy there is no you and I in us. Were one so whatever we do is together." she smiled at this before standing on tiptoes and grazing my lips with hers. I closed my eyes for a moment letting the sweet warm sensation wash over me. "I'm gonna take a shower."

Mads:"can I join you?" She asked quietly looking down and blushing.

Me:YES!" I half shouted as if all my Christmases had come at once. She looked up and laughed.

Mads:"it's not that exciting."

Me:"yes it is. I've wanted to shower with you well since forever." I added embarrassingly at the end as I realised I had just said that out loud. She smiled as she kissed me once more.

I took her hand and we walked into the en-suite bathroom. I closed the door and stood a moment just to look at her. I was so lucky to have her in my life. I walked over to her and put my hands on her hips.

Me:"have to get rid of these to have a shower."

I kissed her before pulling her top of. Then my hands moved to her jeans. Still looking in her eyes my hands fumbled with her button and zipper for a moment before coming loose. I slid the jeans down her legs grazing my thumb against her skin. I heard her gasp slightly. She lifted her legs as I pulled the jeans off. I stood and admired her slender body but she tried covering herself with her hands. I took her hands in my own.

Me:"mads stop it. Your so beautiful." She furrowed her brow unbelieving. "You are. I love seeing you like this but even more when your wearing nothing." I said unclasping her bra and sliding her underwear off. She blushed furiously. Then she seemed to regain her posture as she looked up at me and smiled.

Mads:"well I like seeing you with no clothes on too." She said taking a step closer to me. I held out my hands.

Me:"well I'm not stopping you." I teased her.

Mads:"good."

She reached for my school shirt and fumbled with my buttons her fingers occasionally grazing my skin her eyes concentrating on the task at hand. I felt a lurk in my pants as she undid the last button and slipped the shirt of my shoulders. Her eyes widened as she saw a large lump in my pants before she ginned at me. She undid my belt opened the button then slowly zipped the zipper down making sure her finger traced the length of my shaft as she did so. I groaned and scrunched my eyes. What Maddy did to me. She skimmed her finger across the waist band of my boxers and my shaft lurched towards her again. She slowly slipped my boxers down freeing me. I stepped out of them and pulled her towards me unable to take the distance anymore. I plunged my lips into hers and held her close as she wrapped her arms around me her hands tangling into my hair. I kissed her urgently and picked her up. She wrapped her legs around my waist and I moved her up and down slowly creating some friction skin on skin. she groaned into my lips and I stepped in to the shower still holding her and kissing her. I let go of one hand and absentmindedly felt for the button to turn the water on. I was stood with my back to the water so it would hit my skin first. I found the button and pressed. a burst of cold water hit my back causing me to break away from mads. It quickly turned warm. I was looking into Maddy's brown eyes. they were filled with love lust and desire and I could see the reflection of my eyes in hers, holding the same emotions. I smiled at her joining our lips once more and pulling her beneath the water. Our hands wandering trying to touch everywhere. I couldn't take anymore. All the memories of the past 24 hours came rushing back. I had to be inside Maddy. She was my peace and solace. She was the only one who could make me forget. I groaned loudly as I pressed her back against the wall of the shower and broke my lips from hers. I looked deep into her eyes questioning her asking her permission. She smiled before joining my lips to hers and moving provocatively against me. I held my shaft with on hand levelling it beneath her. Then slowly sinking into her. Maddy's head moved backwards exposing her neck. I kissed and nibbled and sucked at her skin her groaning making me want to lose control. I tried to stay calm moving slowly trying not to hurt her. But I heard her whisper something that made me let go of everything.

Mads:"faster." she whispered. "Please Rhydian faster."

I was beyond controlling myself now as I thrust into her faster and faster her hip meeting every single thrust with one of her own. I felt her tighten and climax bringing me to climax with her. We stood there for a few minutes trying to catch our breaths. My face hidden in the crook of her neck inhaling her scent. My favourite sent in the whole world. I finally realised were we were and slowly pulled out of her As I pulled her back under the water. We stayed in a comfortable silence for the rest of the shower. No words needed to he said. I shampooed Maddy's hair and rubbed shower gel Over her sensitised body. She rubbed me with shower gel as I shampooed my own hair. We rinsed and wrapped ourselves in bathrobes. I picked our clothes up of the floor and followed Maddy into the bedroom. after we had changed into new clothes I pulled Maddy nearer to me.

Me:"are you ok? Did I hurt you?" She smiled as she shook her head.

Mads:"no. It was amazing." She blushed. " you were thinking about everything that's happened weren't you?" In that moment I knew I could hide nothing from her so I opted for the truth and nodded. To my surprise she smiled. "Thank you for not hiding that from me. We'll get through this Rhydian. I know we will." I nodded at her and smiled. I insisted on drying Maddy's hair. Just as I finished placing our old clothes in bags there was a knock at the door. I opened the door. It was Harry.

Harry:"were all eating in Brian and Dom's room. Then were going to the race." I nodded and Harry left. I took Maddy's hand closed our door and followed. We all ate and headed down to our cars to head to the race.
