Chapter 12

Rhydian's POV

Jack:"uncle Rhydian, uncle Rhydian." A little voice screeched as the bed dipped low came up then dipped low again.

Nicko:"uncle Rhydian wake up." Another voice chimed up."

I was lying on my back. I slowly opened my eyes and yawned. I smiled at the two faces cowering over me.

Me:"ok, ok, I'm up. Can you stop jumping now?"

Nicko:"nope!"

Me:"looks like uncle Rhydian will have to stop you then." I stand up and start walking towards them. They both jump in the opposite directions of the bed squealing.

Nicko:"you can't catch us. You can't catch us."

Jack:"na na na na na." He says pulling his tongue out. I lean forward and grab him. I turn quickly and grab Nicko as well. I lie them both down and tickle them until they are in fits of laughter. I hear a cough and look up to see Han stood in the door. He's smiling and I smile back. He walk into the room.

Han:"Mia said come eat breakfast first." I nod.

Me:"you ok?"

Han:"I'm coping. I just miss her. I thought living in Tokyo would help. It just made it worse."

Me:"I still miss her to. She was one of a kind."

Han:"that she was." He looks close to tears.

Me:"jack nicko, go tell mummy I'll be down in a minute." I close the door as the boys leave. Han sits down on my desk chair and I sit on the end of my bed.

Han:"I just don't get it. Why did she have to let go? Why did she have to love me? Look where it got her."

Me:"Han she can't help who she fell in love with. She would have done that even if she didn't love you because we are family. Giselle was like that. She knew if she didn't you would have died. That guy was stood over you. If you had got killed she wouldn't have been able to live with herself."

Han:"yeah but now I can't live with myself."

Me:"it isn't your fault. Giselle wouldn't want you to think like that so don't ok. Look we lost Vince and Jesse and Leon. But rosa still carries on for Nicko and we carry on for them all. That doesn't mean they are forgotten. They will always be in our hearts. You need to move on for Giselle. She would have wanted you to do that."

Han:"thanks bro. You know she always was fond of you."I smile."

Me:"well you know me." I say jokingly hoping to lighten the mood. It works he laughs.

Han:"yeah everyone's little baby bro." He says messing my hair.

Me:"I am not a baby!"

Han:"if you say so. Come on before Mia kills us." I laugh and we both walk down.

We sit on the table and Mia puts two plates in front of us. Bacon strips, eggs, toast and on Han's plate there is also black pudding and hash browns.

Mia:"I didn't put u lots babe coz I knew you wouldn't eat you want more then tell me."

Me:"this is more than enough thanks:" she kisses the top of my head.

Mia:"did you sleep ok?"

Me:"best sleep I've had in ages. It felt like home." I smile and she smile back before walking over to the stairs.

Mia:"BRIAN! DOM! LETTY! TEJ! GET DOWN NOW OR YOU AINT GETTING BREAKFAST! Nicko can you go wake up your uncles please. Jack finish your toast. Rome will you feed jack please." i laugh.

I have missed these typical family mornings. Suki comes and hugs me from behind. She takes the pan of Mia and places it back on the hob before standing In front of the sink.

Mia:"Rhydian hurry up. You'll be late for school." She looks at my half eaten plate disapprovingly.

Me:"it's better than before." I say rushing upstairs. Brian is walking down.

Brian:"morning babe." He says kissing Mia on the lips.

Mia:"don't babe me."

She says knowing all the fight that she had built up had vanished. She kissed him back before leading him to a seat And serving him his breakfast. I smile hoping that one day me and mads would be like this. Although I don't think she'd approve me of calling her babe. I rush into my room and close the door. I go to the bathroom and brush my teeth. I normally brush before I eat. I get changed quickly. I grab my bag, my new phone and my new iPod. I put the phone and iPod in my pocket And sling my bag over my shoulder. I run down.

Me:"I'm going."

Mia:"no I'll drop you off. You got your bag?"

Me:"yes."

Mia:"phone?"

Me:"yes."

Mia:"homework?"

Me:"yes."

Mia:"money?"

Me:"yes mummy. Can we please go now." Brian laughs and Mia narrows her eyes at me, and playfully smacks Brian on the shoulder. He turns in his seat and wraps his arm around her waist.

Brian:"stop teasing her Rhydian." He says trying to sound angry but failing. Mia kisses his nose and whispers to him. i just about here what she says thanks to my wolf like hearing.

Mia:"I'll deal with you later." She says playfully. Han and suki have discreetly left the kitchen to give them some privacy but I am stuck here waiting for Mia. Brian pulls her head towards himself and kisses her lips.

Me:"ewwwww what's your room for?" Mia slips out of Brian's hold and grabs her keys.

Brian:"don't know what your ewing about. After what you've done anyway."

Me:"shut up Brian." I say turning red. Mia laughs as we head to her car.

Mia:"jack said you smelt different. Me and Brian did the research and figured out why. Oh my little brothers going up quick." She says reversing out of the driveway.

Me:"can we please not talk about this." I say turning even more red.

Mia:"ok sorry I'll change the subject."

Me:"thank you."

Mia:"hey I was thinking that we could go buy paint and you could get your friends over after school tomorrow to help you decorate your room?"

Me:"can I wait. It's just I kinda wanted me and Maddy to decide together."

Mia:"we'll how about we sneak Maddy to the house. I can pick up the brochures and we can pick the colours at home. me or Brian can take a car so we can drive her back in there. She can stay hidden inside for a couple of days. That way we can all meet her and get to know her too. I'm sure your foster mum won't mind you spending a few days with us. After all we've seen you after ages."

Me:"Mia god I love you so much. What would I do without you. That's a great idea. I'll talk to Maddy and the guys at lunch. When you pick me up I'll let you know." Mia smiles. She parks up in front of school.

Mia:"I'll ring you at lunch ok?"

Me:"ok." I hug her and get out of the car." Jimmy walks past. Her eyes the sleek black porche with envy.

Mia:"tener un buen día. Te quiero. llame a su ronda de amigos para cenar, entonces podemos hacer un plan de (have a good day. Love you. call your friends round for dinner then we can make a plan)."

Me:"Ok. voy a preguntarles. también te quiero (Ok. i will ask them. love you too)." I reply in Spanish not wanting jimmy to understand what I am saying. He is waiting for me at the gate.

Jimmy:"nice car. Who was that. What were you saying? It was Spanish right?"

Me:"that was non of your business." I say walking past. He follows.

Jimmy:"ooooh getting all defensive. I was only asking? I get it. Your new girlfriend is she? She's well fit." I was losing my temper. I gritted my teeth and turned towards him. There was always this problem with Mia. How all the guys fancied her. It pissed all us men off especially Brian of course.

Me:"if you must know she's my sister and if her husband heard you saying that you wouldn't be breathing right now. So why don't you back of and leave me alone." I felt my wolf trying to come forward. I felt a thick hot liquid rise in the veins on the back of my neck.

Jimmy:"sister? You don't have a sister. Your in foster care? Where did you get a sister from?"

Ava:"why don't you just back of jimmy." she says standing in front of me coming between me and jimmy. It's non of your business." She takes my hand and she pulls me towards the dark room. But it's too late. I feel my eyes change. She passes me some dark glasses and I slip them on. "Calm down Rhydian."

She drags me in to the dark room and closes the door. I look at my hands and see black seeping up my veins. Ava scrambles through her bag and holds up a red vial. She pushes me down on to the seat and undoes the vial. She puts it to my lips and tips it up. It tastes horrid. I choke a little on it but I feel my self relax. My golden eyes turn to their normal blue and the thick black veins slip away. I can smell Maddy's scent. But it's very faint. I lose myself for a moment.

Ava:"are you ok?" I nod.

Me:"thank you."

Ava:"hey what are sisters for? As long as your ok? Come on we'll walk to class together." I sit down at the back of class and she sits next to me.

Me:"Ava I'm fine now. You can go sit next to Tom you know."

Ava:"I know." She says looking sceptical. "But I'd like to sit next to my brother today, if that's ok with you!" I smile at her.

Me:"of course it is."Just then Shan comes rushing in with Tom and Harry in hot pursuit.

Shan:"what happened? Are you ok? Jimmy just said..." I cut her of.

Me:"I'm fine thanks to Ava. Jimmy was just getting on my nerves. Ava came at the right time. And she gave me some of that calming draft. I'm ok now." I see Tom giving Ava an admiring look.

Shan:"thank goodness." I change the subject.

Me:"erhmmm guys, Mia's called you all round for dinner tonight. Will you be able to come? And we've got a plan but we'll discuss that when you come over, if that's ok?" They all nod. Just then a loud ping comes from my pocket. I pull out my new phone to see a text from Han. It reads

*thanks for this mornin bro. It was nice to let it out. See you when you get home. Tej has a surprise for you.* I quickly text back no problem.

Tom:"nice phone Rhydian."

Me:"oh yeah. It was a belated 16th birthday present."

Harry:" who are these people?" He says pointing to the cover.

Me:"this is vince." I say pointing to a well built man with browny copper hair. "This is Giselle." I say pointing to a pretty brown haired woman. "This is Jesse." I say pointing to the skinny kid with the beano hat. "And this is leon." I say pointing to a slightly built dirty blond haired dude. "Jesse was killed after he lost his car in a race but didn't give it up. He drove of and came back days later. Leon went to avenge him but ended up getting killed. Vince was shot in rio saving a cop. Nicko was only a baby then. And Giselle. She was shot a year ago. We had this job to catch this ex military guy named shaw. We had to stop a plane. Giselle gave her life to save Han."

tom:"wow."

Me:"yup." I say sadly. "We were always close but the last job we had to save Letty as well then we lost Giselle. Since then we've been closer than ever." Just then the bell rings and Jeffries walks in. Tom goes to sit next to Liam, as that's the only seat free.

Mr jeffries:"Rhydian do you have maddy's work with you?"

Me:"yes sir." I say handing it to him.

Mr J:"good I have some more work to give you for her. Come with me at break."

The morning passes considerably fast. But I can't wait for lunch. I am itching to talk to Maddy. As soon as the bell goes I grab my bag and urge the guys out of class.

Ava:"Rhydian calm down. What's got your boxers in a twist?"

Me:"I need to talk to Maddy."

Shan:"how?" I reply in one word expecting them to understand.

Me:"ansion."

Tom:"and you just expect us to know what that means?"

Me:"I can talk to her through my thoughts." I say getting slightly irritated. "Come on guys can we go to the dark room?" Shan nods and leads the way with Harry. Harry unlocks the door and we all trudge in. I sit down flinging my bag as I do so. I concentrate on Maddy.

Conversation in Rhydian's mind

Me:"hey mads." I wait for a reply.

Mads:"hey Rhydian. What's up?"

Me:"I wanted to ask you something?"

Mads:"what is it?"

Me:"it's a bit complicated but basically I wanted to ask you if you'll come back here to stoneybridge for a few days?"

Mads:"Rhydian you know I would but how can I? You know Dr Whitewood is around."

Me:"I know. But there's some people I want you to meet. Plus I'll be sneaking you back to my house so no one will see. Please mads. I promise nothing will go wrong. I'll even talk to your mum and dad and Winnie."

Mads:"no you leave them to me. I'll go ask. I'll talk to you in about 10-15 mins yeah?"

Me:"ok I'll wait for you. I love you Maddy."

Mads:"I love you to Rhydian."

*End of conversation*

Me:"she's going to go talk to her parents and Winnie. She said she'll let me know in 10-15 mins. They all nod. Just as were getting out my phone rings. I step in to the corridor and take the call. It's Mia.

Mia:"hey babe. Have you talked to Maddy?"

Me:"yeah. She's going to let me know in the next 15 mins. She gonna talk to her parents."

Mia:"and are your friends coming round today?"

Me:"yeah. They've all asked their parents."

Mia:"ok listen will they be ok with a barbecue? Dom decided to do one today? And suki and rosa will come to pick you all up. I have some errands in town so I'll see you at home ok?"

Me:"that'll be fine. Ok I'll see you later. Bye. Te quiero (Love you)."

Mia:"Yo también te quiero (Love you too)." We've reached the canteen as I end the call.

Me:"barbecue ok with all you guys?"

Tom:"yup."

Jimmy:"where did you rob the phone from this time Rhydian? It's a bit out of your budget."

Harry:"shut up Jimmy."

Me:"I got it for a gift. Why you jealous?"

Jimmy:"no why would I be?"

Shan:"because Rhydian has everything you want. Family, the girl of his dreams and great technology." Jimmy throws Shan a death stare as he stalks of.

Me:"Shan you should have left it."

Shan:"why? He deserved it. Now sit and eat." I sit down take my iPod out and stick in a headphone. Shan gives me a wry look.

Me:"apparently I need the best technology. Which reminds me I have a brand new mac book pro at home that I know you'll love to try out. I haven't touched it yet. Thought you could try it out first."

Shan:"thanks bro."

Me:"Shan I'm your brother you don't need to thank me." I still need you plays in my ears. I smile thinking this is the song Brian would play all the time when him and Mia had broken up. I eat a couple of chips then head out as tom wants to play football. I hear Maddy say hey so I turn of my iPod and stick it in my pocket.

*Conversation in the mind*

Mads:"hey."

Me:"hi. What did your parents say?"

Mads:"they actually agreed. Winnie and your mum said they would cover for me."

Me:"yay. That's great. I'll pick you up tonight ok? Meet me half way in the woods ok?"

Mads:"ok. I can't wait now. Do I need to dress up? Who is it I'm meeting?"

Me:"no mads you don't need to dress up. Your perfect as you are. You'll see when you get here. They will love you for being you. Just like I do. I love you. I'll see you later ok?"

Mads:"I love you too Rhydian bye."

*End of conversation*

Liam:"Rhydian. Rhydian!"

Me:"huh? What? Sorry."

Liam:"are you ok. You were kinda day dreaming."

Me:"no I'm fine. Did you want something?"

Liam:"Dr Whitewoods been released again. She came to my house saying that she got DNA of a werewolf but it was destroyed. She tried taking blood of me because I was bitten saying i would turn into one if I didn't let her help me. She came onto our property with a tranquilliser gun. Dads pressing charges. I'm telling you so that you can be careful and wary. She wants Maddy and she'll probably come after you guys next."

Me:"thanks Liam. I appreciate the help." He nods and walk of as he is still unable to play football.

Harry:"has Maddy got back to you yet?" He whispers.

Me:"yeah we're picking her up tonight." I whisper back. Tom comes over to us and I tell him too looking around at the same time to make sure no one was watching or listening in. I checked my watch for the time. We had 5 mins before the bell. "Come on let's go find the girls I have something to tell you.

We walked inside and saw the girls walking into the dark room. We followed them in. I filled them in on what Liam had told me and what Maddy had said too. After I finished the bell rang. We left the dark room and headed to class. This time Shan sat next to me. She looked a little upset.

Me:"Shan you ok?"

Shan:"I'm fine. I just feel bad for Harry. The band deserted him coz he was hanging out with us. He's not said anything but I know he's upset about it. Music is everything to him."

Me:"after you of course. I know your definitely on the top of Harry's list." I tease.

Shan:"Rhydian I'm being serious." She says blushing.

Me:"don't worry sis I'll sort something out ok?"

Shan:"thank you."

Me:"what are brothers for?"

We have maths this afternoon and for the first time in a while I actually try to concentrate. At the end of class Kara is asked to collect everyone's books. When she comes to take mine she accidentally on purpose brushes my hand. I pull my hand away.

Kara:"Rhydian were throwing Katrina a birthday party in 3 weeks time. We were wondering if you'd like to come?"

Me:"no thanks."

Kara:"well why not. You've got nothing better to do and since Maddy's left I thought."

Me:"I said no thanks. Maddy hasn't left and I've got much better things to do."

Kara huffs and turns away to finish collecting the books. Shannon just laughs at me. Home time couldn't come fast enough. Our group of five were first out the door. I could see suki's pink mitsubishi from the door. We walked over and I hugged her. She said hi to the others. Rosa had Vince's old blue Evo. Nicko came bounding up to me. I lifted him in my arms as I went to hug rosa. I sit in Suki's car with Nicko Shan and Harry. Ava and Tom go with rosa.

Suki:"your drawings are a lot better."

Me:"it's coz I draw all the time now." I turn to Shan and Harry. "Suki taught me how to draw by the way. She does the paint and sticker jobs on the cars with Mia." I turn to Nicko. "So what did you and jack do today?'

Nicko:"me and jack played in our room. Uncle tej said he's going to put night lights shaped like fast cars. Then I did my counting and ABC with Aunty Suki when jack went to sleep. Now I'm picking you up." I smile at him. Thanks to Suki's speeding we reach home in no time. We walked in to the kitchen. Letty was stood at the kitchen worktop with her back to us. She was mixing the dressing into the salad. I hugged her from behind and kissed her cheek.

Me:"hey."

Letty:"hey bubba. How was school? You kick anyone's arse today?"

Me:"no and it was fine. Where are the guys?"

Letty:"out in the back. Make sure you put your bag in your room or Mia will flip ok?"

Me:"ok. Let me just say hi first."

We all went out and said hi to the guys. I asked where Mia was and they said she still wasn't back. I lead the guys into the hallway where we took our shoes of and then took them to my room. I opened the door and stood back so that they could all troop in.

All of them:" WOW!"

Tom:"wicked room bro."

Me:"thanks. Shan the mac's on the desk."

She rushes over to it. I empty my iPod and phone onto my bedside table. Ava picks up my iPod and scrolls through my playlist whilst Harry checks out my wardrobe. There's a knock at the door before it opens. Mia is stood there with her hands behind her back.

Mia:"I have something for you."

Me:"what is it?"

Mia brings her hands forwards. She is holding a guitar. To be precise it's the guitar Vince gave me before he passed away. I haven't seen it in ages.

Mia:"I just got it retuned." I look at her with shock on my face.

Harry:"Rhydian you play?"

Me:"yeah I used to learn from Vince."

Mia:"right talk after come down for dinner now. And Rhydian here's your set of keys." she says throwing them at me. I catch them and place them on the dressing table. We start walking down..

Me:"guys come this way a minute I want to show you something." I led them into the music room. I discreetly nodded at Shan as Harry and Tom started to check out the instruments. "Harry I was thinking since the band left you why don't we make our own band? A family band? I mean Shan and Ava can sing so can Brian and even me. Me and you and me can do guitars, Tom can have his dj kit and he can play keyboards, so can Han. And roman can do drums?" I ask sceptically. Harry looks as if he's about to cry.

Harry:"I don't know what to say?"

Me:"yes maybe?"

Harry:"YES! Definitely yes. I just... Thank you."

Me:"Harry were family. If anyone's gonna support your dreams it's family." Harry came and give me a manly hug.

Tej:"yall can hug it out later man. Foods ready and waiting." We all grinned as we followed tej out. We sat around the table and I took a chip and put it in my mouth. Mia lightly hit my hand.

Nicko:"uncle Rhydian has to say grace. Uncle Rhydian has to say grace. He picked food up first." Sugar I forgot about that I thought to myself.

Letty:"hurry up bubba I wanna eat some grub man." she says. From the corner of my eye I see Mia grinning. Just then jack walks out and comes and makes himself comfortable in my lap.

Jack:"I'll help you uncle Rhydian. Everyone close their eyes and hold hands." So we all close our eyes and hold hands around the table.

Me:"dear lord, we thank you.." Jack whispers in my ear. "For the food on this table, for family, friends and love..." Jack whispers again." "For the toys we have, for bringing uncle rhydian back to jack and Nicko and home and for Jacks new uncles Tom and Harry and aunties Shannon and Ava and Maddy who he still need to see..." He whispers again. "And like uncle roman says most of all thank you for fast cars."

Jack:"amen."

Everyone:"amen."

Everyone is laughing at Jack's grace. But at the same time we all agree he's too clever and bright to be two. Everyone is happily eating and chatting away. I can't eat. I'm too nervous about Maddy. I just hope nothing goes wrong. Mia notices my discomfort.

Mia:"at least eat a bit babe. I know your nervous but don't worry everything will be fine." I nod and attempt to eat a little bit of chicken.

We discuss the plan as we eat. It's decided that me and Brian will go to pick Maddy up. We'll take the path through the woods and hide her in the backseat covering her with a blanket. We finish our food and all get up to help with the cleaning. Letty tells me and Brian to leave it and set out now. She tells us that they can handle the cleaning. Mia sees us out telling us to be careful. She kisses my forehead and hugs me hard as I go sit in the front passenger seat. From the mirror I see Brian and Mia wrapped around each other as they kiss. I wonder to myself will mine and Maddy's love stay strong and get stronger over time or will it go less. Brian gets in the car and starts the engine. With one final wave to Mia he drives through the open gate which starts to close as soon as we're out. Through my mind I tell Maddy to set out.

Maddy's POV

My mum and dad had just agreed to me sneaking back to Stoneybridge with Rhydian. I couldn't believe it I was going back finally. Even if it was just for a few days. Although I was excited I was scared and nervous at the same time. I mean what if someone saw me? How exactly was Rhydian going to sneak me back? But most of all the loudest question being asked in my mind was what is it he wanted to tell me? Was he going to break up with me? Was I not enough? Then why was he taking me back? Did he want to show me his new girlfriend? No I can't think like that. Rhydian loves me. I know he does. He wants to tell me something else. Maybe it's about his past. Then I start thinking about Jana. How are we going to convince her. Winnie has said she is going to tell Jana that I am severely ill and that the disease is contagious. Only my parents can see me and Winnie as she will be nursing me back to health. She's told me not to worry but I can't help it. And let's just face it. Can you blame me? Oh Goodness me I really need to stop thinking. Me mam calls me in.

Mam:"Maddy pet your going to have to stay in now. Your supposed to be ill remember. Give us a hand cleaning up will ya whilst your waiting."

So I helped mum clean. I played dominoes with Bryn for a while. Helped mum and cerri with cooking and even did some wood work with dad. But the whole day just passed absentmindedly. All I could think about was Rhydian and what he wanted to tell me. Finally it started getting a bit dark. Jana was in her hut and out of the way. I got a message from Rhydian telling me to set out. I hugged cerri and me mam and dad. Winnie insisted that she and Bryn escort me to the border. As we reached I hugged then and said goodbye before turning and running at full speed never looking back. I've been running for about 20 minutes now so I decide to stop and use eolas to see where Rhydian is. I see him running towards me. I catch his intoxicating scent. And before I know it I am being pulled into a strong embrace. I hear my name being called as if it is a life line, a prayer. His lips find mine. My hands travel up his chest and around his head, playing with his hair and grabbing him closer. He lifts me up as he wraps his arms around my waist. I wrap my legs around his waist to stop myself from falling. We are kissing passionately. His one hand holds me up and close to him and his other hand travels up my back and into my hair pulling my face even closer to him if that is possible. As the kiss rapidly escalates in seconds there is a loud ringing noise that makes us pull apart and remember where we are. Rhydian looks confused for a moment then he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a brand new phone. An iPhone 5s to be precise. He starts to look a bit nervous.

*one sided phone convo*

Rhyd's:" hey Mia.

...

Yes I'm here now.

...

No don't worry.

...

Ok love you too

...

Ugh huh. "

I think to myself who this Mia is but as soon as he says he loves her too I run of. I hear him tell her that he will talk to her when he gets home. So I was right. He's moved on. I hear him behind me calling my name. But I just carry on running. I'm so stupid. I'm about to jump when I feel strong arms holding me. I try to break free but he turns me and holds me against a tree trunk. His eyes are yellow. Fear etched on his beautiful face. He talks to me softly.

Rhyd's:"Maddy what's wrong? Why did you run?" I stay quiet. Tears now running down my face. "Maddy please tell me what's up?"

Me:"what do you think is up?!" I shout my own eyes turning yellow. "Just let me go. Go back to whoever it is you want."

Rhyd's:"Maddy what are you?... Wait do you think I'm cheating on you? Oh Maddy when are you going to get it? When are you going to trust me. I love you. I want to be with you. Not with anyone else."

Me:"so who's this Mia then, that you were saying you love her too?"

Rhyds:"she's my sister mads. Not from Cerri. From my other family. I didn't know how to tell you at first. But that's why I wanted you to come. I wanted to explain things. I wanted you to meet them."

Me:"oh. Why did you not tell me this before?" I say considerably quieter.

Rhyd's:"I didn't know how to. Look can we talk when were back home. I don't want anyone to see you."

Me:"ok but how are we getting back?"

Rhyds:"we're going in a car. Come this way."

He holds out his hand for me to take but I'm still a bit angry and confused so I don't take it. He looks at me sadly before walking ahead. I follow quietly. 2 minutes later we stop in front of a silver and blue racing car. There is a man stood leaning against the door frame. He smiles when he sees me. I politely smile back. He stands straight and holds out his hand for me to take.

Brian:"hi. You must be Maddy. It's nice to finally meet you." I look at Rhydian.

Rhyds:"Maddy this is Brian. He's my older brother and Mia's husband." As soon as he says husband I feel guilty. He does nothing but love me and care for me and my family and I suspect him in return. I'm so bad.

Brian:"did Mia call? I was getting worried."

Rhyds:"yeah. We just had a little problem." He says looking at me sceptically. He opens the door for me and passes me a huge blanket. "Cover yourself in this. Do you want me to sit at the back with you?"

I shake my head. I need to be alone for a little bit. He looks at me sadly before closing the door and going to sit at the front. I can feel his eyes on me under the blanket but I don't move. I hear the car start and lurch forward. It's a bit bumpy at first. I know when we leave the forest as the road soon becomes smooth. 10 minutes later the car stops and the engine is turned off. I wait to be told that I can come out. I hear my door open.

Rhyd's:"mads you can get out now."

So I take the blanket of and get out of the car. I look up to see a huge house. This isn't the Vaughn's place. I shut the door and follow Rhydian to the house. He pulls a key out of his pocket and opens the door. As soon as we walk in a tall, beautiful woman comes rushing towards me. She hugs me tightly.

Mia:"you must be Maddy. I've been waiting for so long to meet you." Then she shouts in something that sounds like Spanish. "Ella está aquí. Ella está aquí. (She's here. She's here)." As she let me go I saw about 10-11 people walk in and then I see Shan and Tom and Ava and Harry stood amongst them. Two little children come and stand in front of Rhydian. The younger one pulls on his pants and he picks them both up. The older kid speaks.

Nicko:"uncle Rhydian, is this Aunty Maddy?" Rhydian smiles and nods. He looks at me.

Rhydian:"this is Nicko." he says looking towards the older boy. "And this is jack." He says looking at the younger one. "They are my nephews, but I am also their godfather." I smile at them both and say hi. Just then Brian walks in.

Brian:"why don't we all move inside then our little brother can introduce us all."

Everyone nods and I follow the stream of people into an impressive looking living room. I'm really confused now. How do my friends now these people. They all have American accents. Am I the only one who didn't know about them. Why? Rhydian must have seen my confused look.

Rhyd's:"let me just introduce everyone then I'll explain everything ok." I just nod. So he introduces everyone to me. They all know who I already am. Mia explains about Rhydian's past foster family and how he grew up with them and became a part of their family. She tells me how they weren't allowed to adopt him and then he moved here. How they knew of his secret but it was only after he met me that they realised it was wolf blood and not werewolf. How jack their son was also a wolf blood. They said they had kept in contact with Rhydian but they missed him. When they found out about what had happened and how upset he was they decided to move down here for a while. I just sat there taking in all this information. I feel even worse now. Poor Rhydian has been through so much. No wonder he didn't want to talk about his past. He had to give up his family. Shan breaks the silence.

Shan:"how about we go and check out the music room. Rhydian we have to hear you play. Music always eases the tension and relaxes everyone."

So we all went to the music room. It was very large. Harry, Rhydian, roman, Tom, Han and Brian get on stage. Harry rhydian and Brian all take a guitar. Rome sits at the drums and Tom and Han each take a key board. Rhydian whispers something to all of them and they all nod. Brian has a smile on his face. Rhydian and Brian come and stand in front of two microphones. Rhydian strums the first cord. Then music fills the room followed by first Rhydian's then Brian's voice. Everyone starts dancing. Shan and Mia take my hands and start making me move, but all I can concentrate on is the lyrics.

The song ended. My eyes were fixed on Rhydian's. Everyone clapped but for a moment I was oblivious to the world around me. All I saw was Rhydian. I only realised there were people in the room when Shannon accidentally knocked into me.

Mia:"right come on you guys. Time to go home. You all have school in the morning. Ask your parents if you can stay over Friday and Saturday night. We'll be having an extended sleep over. You guys can help with the painting and settling in if that's ok?" They all agreed.

Tej:"I'll drop you guys of at home."

I hugged my friends goodbye. Shan hugged me last.

Shan:"I know something's up with you too. Fix it mads. He loves you." I looked at her and nodded. I waved to them as they drove of. Back in the living room Rhydian was having an argument or a whine more like with Mia.

Rhydian:" can I stay home tomorrow?"

Mia:"no your going to school."

Rhydian:"but Maddy's here."

Mia:"yes I know and Maddy has plenty of people to take care of her. You can see her when you get back from school."

Rhydian:"but..."

Mia:"no buts Rhydian. You are going to school, whether you like it or not."

Rhydian:"just on day off please Mia?"

Mia:"I said no Rhydian."

Just then Dom walked past me and into the room. He blatantly caught me snooping in on their conversation. I walked in behind him.

Rhydian:"Dom can you please tell Mia to let me take at least tomorrow off?"

Mia:"no Dom he is going to school. His grades have already started dropping."

Dom:"ok how about a compromise. Rhydian goes to school for his morning lessons and then we pick him up at lunch time. That way he's done half a day?"

Mia:"no."

Rhydian:"yes. Please Mia." he says giving her his puppy dog eyes. I look at her too, to see her reaction.

Mia:"fine. But when you get home first thing you have to do is finish your homework ok?"

Rhydian:"I promise." He hugs her and kisses her cheek. "Thank you."

Mia:"of to bed now." She says lovingly.

we walk up in silence. I can still sense the tension between us and it's all my fault. Rhydian stops in front of the last door down the corridor. He opens the door and steps back for me to walk in. The bedroom is huge.

Rhydian:"I haven't decorated yet. I wanted to make it ours." I look at him and nod. He shows me around the room. Just as we're done there's a knock at the door then Letty walks in.

Letty:"here Maddy. We picked some stuff up for you in town." She says handing me a mini suitcase. Then she turns to Rhydian. "here you go bubba. It's got enough on there for now. You know your not getting your savers account till your 18." she says passing him an American Express card. "Just came through today." She hugs us both good night and leaves. Rhydian Locks the door behind her.

Rhydian:"you can use the bathroom first."

I nod and walk in locking the door. I open the suitcase and see 3 pairs of night clothes 3 pairs of jeans, 4 t shirts, 2 hoodies and a brand new pair of trainers. In the zipped section are 3 new sets of bra's and underwear. It's just the kind of clothes I like. Not too girly. I slip my clothes of and pull on my night pants and my night shirt. I take my shoes of and slip my feet into my new luxuriously soft night shoes. I unlock the door to see Rhydian already changed and sat on the bed with his head in his hands. He looks up and smiles at me sadly when he hears the door open. He walks up to me and takes the suitcase out of my hand. He walks over to the wardrobe and opens it. I stand behind him watching him. I'm slightly amused. He takes the jeans and tops and hangs them on hangers before hanging them next to his own clothes. He takes my night clothes and places them on a shelf below his own. He takes both pairs of my shoes and puts them on the shoe stand within the wardrobe. Again next to his own. To my surprise he takes out the lingerie and puts it in a wardrobe. Once the suitcase is empty he zips it up and places it on one of the high shelve that look like they are for storage. He walks out of the wardrobe and closes the door. I walk to the bed and sit down. He turns on the lamp and turns of the main light.

Rhydian:"you can sleep on the bed. I'll sleep on the floor." He thinks I'm still angry. Oh Rhydian I'm so sorry I think to myself.

Me:"no please sleep on the bed." He looks at me.

Rhydian:"are you sure?" I nod.

I pull the duvet back and we lie in the middle of the bed. I pick his arm up and put it around my waist as we lie facing each other. We both speak at the same time.

Rhydian:"you first."

Me:"I'm sorry that I jumped to conclusions. I shouldn't have. But why didn't you tell me about all this before?." I say placing a hand on his cheek. "I might have been able to help you."

Rhydian:"I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I just couldn't accept the fact that they weren't a part of my life no more. Saying out loud would have made me accept it. It hurt too much to talk about it."

me:"I'm sorry."

Rhydian:"you have nothing to be sorry for."

He had tears rolling down his cheeks and he hugs me closer. I wipe his face and bring his lips to mine. It's a short and sweet but passionate kiss. It tells us that we're ok after our little tiff. We got through it and we always will get through anything. As I broke away I saw his eyes fill with lust and love. My own doing the same. Before we knew what was happening we were tugging at each other's clothes. I stopped a moment.

Me:"Rhydian, what if someone hears us."

Rhydian:"it's a sound proof room mads. No on can hear a thing."

He says kissing me and biting my bottom lip. I feel myself tremble beneath him as my mind relaxes and we lose our selves in each other once more.
