Chapter 23 – My Dream

"What now?" I asked. "See this," Hyorin said and showed me her phone. "I can't believe it," I said astonished. Somebody had made a video when I helped the girls and uploaded it online. "Everybody loves you," Hyorin said and clapped her hands.

"Funny how everybody loves me now before they used to say that I am a gold-digger," I said. "Who cares about that, just be happy about it," Hyorin said and got up. "Come down and have some breakfast"

"Haven't I told you, I am not used to eating breakfast," I said, not taking my eyes off from the phone. "Then get used to it," Hyorin said, snatched the phone from me and dragged me downstairs. "Oh, Soo Min finally decided to eat breakfast," my mother said.

"Morning, Mom," I said and sat down. I took a small toast and put it on my plate. "Do you want to do something together?" my father asked. "Soo Min is going out on a date" Kyungsoo answered for me. "Oh really? With Jonghyun?" my mother asked. I just nodded and continued eating.

After that, I went back to my room and got ready. Since I had prepared everything yesterday, I got ready with a tension free mind. About half an hour later, I received a text message from Jonghyun that he had arrived. I looked at myself for the last time in the mirror and opened the front door to walk out.

As I walked out, I saw Jonghyun standing in front of his car, looking at his phone and smiling as he was looking at it. "What are you doing?" I asked as I got near him. "Have you seen this?" he asked as he showed me of the positive critics about me. "Yes, I did," I said and smiled. "That's so great," he said and opened the car door for me.

I muttered a quick 'thank you' and got in. Seconds later, Jonghyun also got in and started the car. "Where are we going?" I asked curiously. "Just wait and watch" he replied and I chuckled. About 15 minutes later, Jonghyun parked the car and we got out.

"Where are we?" I asked and looked around. "Eun hee told me that you wanted to go to the planetarium" he said and I smiled. "Yesss, finally I get to see the planetarium. I've never been there" I said and he ruffled my hair.

"Can't you stop to ruffle my hair for once?" I asked and fixed my hair. "Nope. It's like you hair is calling me and telling me to ruffle it" he said and I just rolled my eyes. After that, we made our way to the entrance, Jonghyun paid for the tickets, even though I wanted to pay for mine myself, and we entered the planetarium.

"The show starts in 15 minutes," Jonghyun said as he looked at the ticket. "Let's look around in the meanwhile," I said and Jonghyun linked our arms. We walked around and saw many pictures of the universe, which made me amazed. "You know, when I was a child, I wanted to become an astronaut," Jonghyun said and I looked at him shocked.

"Really? That would be so cool" I said and added "When I was a child I just wanted to marry someone rich and stay at home. I just wanted to have the money yet not work for it" Jonghyun laughed and I noticed that some people were taking pictures of us.

"What do you want to become now?" he asked and I thought for a while. "I don't know" I answered. "Well, it's getting time to think about it," he said and looked at his watch. "Let's go, the show is starting in some minutes," he said.

Even after I sat down on my seat, the thought couldn't leave me. What do I want to become? I had never seriously thought about it. The show started and different kind of planets was shown. "Wow, that looks so good" I whispered. After some minutes, I could feel Jonghyun putting his head on my shoulder, which made me smile goofily.

The entire show, his head was on my shoulder and the entire show, my heart wasn't beating normal. After the show, he lifted his head and massaged his hand. Everybody had left already and I was wondering what was wrong with him. "What happened?"

"Nothing much, I just hurt my hand while practicing," he said. "Let me do it," I said, took his hand started to massage his hand. "As you can see, I am really good at massaging. In no time, you won't feel any pain anymore" I said and I could feel his eyes boring into mine, which made me nervous.

"Why are you looking at me?" I asked. "Somehow, I can't seem to keep my eyes off you. I subconsciously looking at you, if I want to or not" he said and I blushed a deep red. "W-What?" I asked and stood up. "Let's go" I turned around so that I could escape this situation. Why is my freaking heart not beating normal?

Suddenly, he pulled me by my arm and made me sit again. "Don't run away" he said and leaned into which I quickly closed my eyes. Seconds later, I felt nothing. I mean it: nothing. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Jonghyun laughing while covering his mouth. "Idiot," I said and stood up.

Humiliation. Utter humiliation. I covered my entire face because of this embarrassing situation with my hands. I started to walk towards the exit, I am not able to face Jonghyun after that. And suddenly, Jonghyun grabbed my arm, spun me around and I felt something on my lips. Something sweet.

He tasted like cherries. Soon, I replied and I could feel him smile. He put his hand on my waist and pulled me closer to him and I could say that that was our precious moment. After that, he drove me back home. As usual, we were jamming along the songs which were being played on the radio.

"Thanks for the drive. See you in school" I said, opened the car door and got out. "Soo Min, wait" I heard Jonghyun say as I reached my front door. "What is it," I asked. "You know, if you think about it, your childhood dream can come true," he said. "How?"

"There is someone who is rich, can marry you and make you a housewife, so that you can enjoy life without having to work," he said. "Who?"

"Me"

"Stop kidding," I said and laughed. "Maybe I am not," he said. After that, he went inside his car and drove off, leaving me there speechless. I entered my house and was greeted by Hyorin, who was munching on some snacks as always. "What happened to you? You look like you saw a ghost"

"Was that supposed to mean something?" I asked myself. "What was supposed to mean what?" Hyorin asked confused. "Was that..?" I asked and my eyes widened. "A marriage proposal?" I screamed.

"A what?" Hyorin screamed too. "My Goodness, I am so happy for you" she added. "What? Are you crazy" Kyungsoo said as he walked down the stairs. "Lee Soo Min, you are too young for this," he said and smacked my head. "I don't care, I have decided now," I said Kyungsoo's eyes widened. "Young lady, you are still in high school!" he said and wanted to smack my head again but was held off by Hyorin. "Yah, don't smack her," Hyorin said.

"Why is there such a ruckus?" we all heard. All of us looked up and saw my confused mother.

Ten minutes later, we were all sitting at the dining table. We three were looking at our plates and our parents could sense that we all were feeling really awkward. "Soo Min, you are graduating soon, have you thought about what you want to do after that?" my father asked.

"I don't know" I replied honestly. "Well, why don't you firstly think about what you enjoy doing?" he asked. "I am just a talentless kid" I joked. "I am sure that you are good in something, you just didn't realize it," he said and encouraged me.

After dinner, I was walking up the stairs when I heard a voice. "Soo Min, listen" I turned around and saw Kyungsoo. "I guess I exaggerated a bit," he said and scratched his head. "Just make wise decisions," he said and I smiled. "I will," I said and walked to my room.

At about 10 o'clock I updated my story. And ten minutes later, Hyorin rushed into my room. "Tell me, what will happen next," she said. "Where?" I asked as I removed my eyes from my laptop. "Your story," she asked eagerly. "Not telling," I said and stuck my tongue out. "You really enjoy that, right?" she asked and sighed.

I nodded and smiling. "I guess, I really like writing and seeing others enjoying my story," I said. "Every time I read your story it makes me feel happy inside. Your story is just wonderful" she complimented. "Thanks," I said and she left. I lay down on my bed and looked out of the window, I could see the stars. And at that moment, I decided.

"I want to become a writer"
