Chapter 5 - New School

"I hate you" I muttered as I pulled my blanket over my head. "Yah, I am getting tired of this game. Will you finally wake up and get ready?" Eun hee asked and sighed. I slowly looked up to her while pulling the blanket down and said "Fine"

"Hallelujah" she said and walked out of the room. Urg. I just hate waking up. Sighing, I took my new school uniform, which I had received from my father, and walked to the bathroom.

After getting a shower, I walked downstairs while still rubbing my eyes. "Good morning, Soo Min. Are you excited for your new school?" Father asked. "Yes, I guess" I said while shrugging my shoulders.

"Have some breakfast and then the driver will drop you off" Mom said and took a bite of her toast. Actually, after my parents managed to save our company, we got a little bit rich. We weren't ultra-rich, but we did have a driver, a cook and a maid who cleans everything. Alongside this three servants, we had enough money to compensate a private school and live carefree.

"Actually, I am not used to eat breakfast so I'll leave now" I said and walked to the garage after bidding my goodbye. "Morning, Mr. Choi" I said and smiled at the driver. "Good morning, madam." He said and we drove off.

After about 15 minutes, we arrived. I never expected to go to another school and leave Hana. Well, you never know where fate brings you and now, I was standing in front of the gate of this school. I looked around and saw that the school was luxurious. I closed my eyes and breathed in the air while walking.

Well, wrong move. I bumped into someone and I slowly opened my eyes while rubbing my head.

For a few seconds, I was shocked. I didn't expect to see him again. It was the same nose, the same eyes and the same face and somehow it seemed that we keep bumping into each other.

"You!" we both said in unison.

We both laughed and soon I saw other familiar people behind him. I was still rubbing my head after I bumped into Jonghyun and then somebody spoke up. "Soo Min, right?" Onew said and I nodded. "Do you attend this school?" Key asked. "Yes, this is my first day" I said and smiled.

"Wow, this year is starting to become interesting. I hope that we will be in the same class" Minho said and I just laughed. "But you are in a year lower than me" I pointed out and Minho sighed. "The only person who is in the same year as you is Jonghyun. Let's hope that you guys are in the same class. Well, actually I have to go now. See you" Onew said and walked away.

"Where is he going?" I asked. "Onew attends university. He goes to the Seowon University so he usually walks with us till here" Taemin said. I nodded and together we walked to the secretary.

The Seowon University and the Seowon high school were owned by the Seowon group, a company. The university was across the high school, both were standing opposite to each other, so it was no surprise that Onew was also there with the rest of the members.

"Here is your schedule, your classroom number, your locker number and key and these are some papers your parents need to sign" the secretary said after the registration.

I walked outside, along with the four SHINee members and bid my goodbye. "Which class are you in?" Jonghyun asked after everybody left. "12-B" I said. "Great, we are in the same class. Let's walk together." He said and we walked.

The school was too crowded and it was about to ring so everybody was rushing to their classes. Jonghyun was walking in front of me, giving me a look of his back and suddenly, I bumped into somebody and I fell on the ground, dropping every paper I had on the ground. Wow, why am I bumping into so many people today?

"I am sorry, I'll pick the paper up for you" the person I bumped into said. I looked and saw that Jonghyun was coming back, after he saw me on the ground and that another person was picking up my papers. "Are you alright?" Jonghyun asked and I nodded. He reached out his hand for me and I grabbed it and stood up.

"Here" the boy I bumped into said and handed me the papers and I gladly took them while muttering a thank you. "Oh hey, Baekhyun" Jonghyun said and bro fisted him. "So you know him?" I asked while both of them were talking. "Yes, Soo Min this is Byun Baekhyun, a member of the boy-band Exo and Baekhyun this is Lee Soo Min, we met due some circumstances" Jonghyun introduced.

"Nice to know you Soo Min. If you have some problems in this school, you can tell me. I am the vice Student body president" he said and we shook hands. "Nice to know you" I said.

The bell rang, signaling us to go into our classrooms and we said goodbye to Baekhyun and started walking to our class, which was only a few meters away. "Now, walk next to me, not behind me. I'll make sure that you won't fall again" Jonghyun said and smiled. Somehow, I couldn't help but chuckle. "If Baekhyun is the vice president, then who is the president?" I asked. "Oh, that's me" Jonghyun said casually.

"Wow, isn't hard to be an idol and be the student body president too?" I asked astonished. "Well, I can manage" he said and we entered the classroom. I decided not to sit next to Jonghyun because people would make up weird rumors, because I was never seen with Jonghyun before. I looked around and saw a free seat next to a short haired girl who seemed nice.

"Can I sit next to you?" I asked. The girl looked up to me, a bit surprised to see a new student. "Yeah, sure. Are you new?" she asked and I nodded. "Finally, we needed someone new. This bunch of group" she said and pointed towards a bunch of people, where Jonghyun was also in "are getting boring"

We both laughed at her statement and from out of the nowhere, a guy appeared. "My goodness" I said while placing my hand on my heart, after the surprise attack from this guy. "What do you mean by boring, huh? We are the most interesting people you could meet" he said and I smiled. "Let me introduce you, Siwon. He is always cracking up jokes and makes everyone laugh" the short haired girl said.

"Good morning, my name is Lee Soo Min. Nice to meet you" I said and he frowned at me which made me confused. Why is he frowning at me? "Why are you so formal? We are friends, right?" he asked and I was taken aback. Is this how fast you can make friends? "This guy thinks that every classmate is a friend. My name is Minji. I don't think that every classmate is a friend but from now on we are friends" She said and smiled.

After that, the teacher entered and started the lesson. He wasn't really interested in me, the new kid, but I've noticed one thing. It doesn't matter where you are, in America or Korea, in a private school or public school, school is always boring.

Lunchtime came and Minji and Siwon, who claimed to be my new friends, even though they didn't ask me if I wanted to be friends, dragged me to the cafeteria and bought me the "best food of the school", how they like to call it. A few times, I caught Jonghyun staring at me and smiling at me. He even said that it was good that I made friends. And the other SHINee members? I was too busy to deal with Minji and Siwon that I had no time to look for them.

After ages, the school bell rang and I hurriedly packed my things. Honestly, this was a long school day and I just wanted to lay on my bed now. "See you" I told Minji and walked off. As I was about to exit the gate from the school, somebody grabbed my wrist and made me stop.

"May I help you?" I asked Baekhyun. "Yeah, actually I need help. I know, we met today and we don't know each other well, but I have to ask a favor from you" I looked at him and waited for him to continue. "I heard you lived in America for a long time, right? We are in the 12th grade and I want to get good grades this year because this is the last year." He said and I still had no clue what favor he wanted from me.

"Could you teach me English?" he asked me and looked at the ground while tapping my foot. "That's it?" I asked and laughed. "Huh?" he asked, completely off-guard. "Of course, I'll help you." I said and Baekhyun smiled.

For the next one hour Baekhyun and I were sitting in the classroom and studying. "So that's how you do it!" Baekhyun said as I smiled like a kid. "Your notes are easy to read, we will defiantly study together again" he said and I just nodded.

"Look the first snow has come" I said as I looked out of the window. "Yeah, it's the first snow of this season. It looks pretty right?" he said. "Yeah, it only looks pretty, but when you get closer to it you realize it only hurts you"

"Hurts?" Baekhyun asked. "Yes, hurts. It's cold and when you touch snow for a long time, it makes your skin numb. It only looks good from afar" I said.

"Yeah, but when you wear gloves you won't feel the cold. You just need to know how to tackle with it" he said and looked out of the window while I looked at him surprised. 4 years ago, when I came to visit Korea in the holidays, Eun hee, Kyungsoo, Hyorin and I were sitting in the living room and talking. We talked about snow and I stated the same opinion, and nobody was able to give me a good answer or they didn't know what to say. This is the first time, when someone gave me an answer which changed my mind.

"I need to go now" he said and waved his hands. I waved my hands back and in seconds he was gone. I yawned and stretched my arms after packing my stuff and wore my jacket.

Before going outside I took my phone out, so that I could listen to music and saw that I had received three new messaged from three different people.

[(Hana) Hey, how are you doing? Guess what? I booked tickets for Korea! I've booked tickets for the semester holidays, which are in 2 months. We've got a lot of catching up to do!!!]

[(Eun hee) I've got something interesting for you. Today Key oppa and Taemin oppa came to ask a favor of you. You weren't there, so they asked me to deliver the message to you. When you will come home, I will tell you about it. *hint* it has something to do with Jonghyun oppa*hint*]

[(Hyorin) I would like to tell you something awesome. Drumrolls please...........I am coming! Just wait for 2 weeks and I'll be next to you and this time I am coming for a long time :D]

I think the upcoming days will be interesting.

So what do you think will happen later on? Who is Hyorin? Well, these three massages actually spoil a lot. But who knows? Maybe something unexpected will come? Actually, I don't know myself, I just made up this question xD
