Charlie's Punishment

04:22, 8 February 2024

Once again, Charlie got in trouble for vandalizing school property, this time on the school lockers. The teen was being chased by a security guard until he came face to face with Principal Newman. Before she even got a chance to expel or suspend Charlie, Scott comes in with a better idea, to punish Charlie by cleaning up the graffiti across the school. Newman agreed and decided to meet Charlie and Scott for Saturday detention along with the other students to clean up the school's graffiti as punishment. The de-Santification process was truly starting to take affect on him, looking more like his old self before he became Santa all those years ago. Thankfully, he's still got his magic, making sure to use them wisely so he'd had enough to go back North.

When Principal Newman arrived, so did other teachers who thought the students were nothing but delinquents. Newman found it rather offensive, saying the students aren't what they think, but they're good kids who were misunderstood. "If I were you, I'd spend more time worrying about your legs in those shorts," said Scott, surprising Newman from his sudden presence. The two said their good mornings, even offering a cup of coffee to keep warm on the cold winter morning."So you have a nice guy side," said Newman."I'm a man of many sides" said Scott, "I'm a puzzle. I'm a Rubik's cube with pants"Newman couldn't help but laugh at the joke, which was a surprise to Scott, seeing as he's never heard the toughest principal he knew laugh before. Charlie walks to his dad telling him the spray paint wouldn't come off. "It's not supposed to come off," Scott explained to his son, "Hence, you've got to be very careful where you put it. Hence, tagging is serious. Hence, your presence here"Charlie looked at his father in annoyance and said, "Don't say 'Hence' anymore, Dad. It's really annoying"

Once the teenage boy goes back to cleaning and painting, Newman showed she was rather impressed by Scott's new found parenting. "How do you do it?" asked Scott, "I have trouble with two. You take care of hundreds"Suddenly, a little girl rushed up to Scott, looking up at him with a sweet toothy smile on her face. "I was really good this year" she saidNewman watched as Scott interacted with the little girl, smiling at the scene.Scott knelt down to the girl's height with a smile, "Is that so?" he asked, "Are you absolutely sure about that, Pamela?"Pamela nods in response, "I want a doll house and a swimming pool""I'm sorry, she really wanted to talk to you" said Pamela's mother"It's not a problem" Scott reassured before turning his attention back to the little girl, "I'll tell you what. If you can promise me you'll be good, I can personally guarantee you'll have a great Christmas""Okay!" said Pamela, skipping along her merry way with her mother until Scott noticed Newman's reaction. He plays it off saying kids get a little nutty this time of year, lying to the woman saying he saw her name on a necklace. Once the woman was out of sight, Scott checked his watch, seeing the dial going down to nine.

Meanwhile in the North Pole, Merry was having trouble sleeping due to the stress and worry. So she decided to walk around the workshop to tire herself out until she noticed a faint light across the way. The teen quietly removes her slippers and tiptoes her way toward the light, seeing Toy Santa making what appears to be a toy soldier. "I just can't sleep thinking about all those rules"  he said to the toy soldier, "Am I wrong? Am I right? Does it matter? Couldn't have been the three gallons of cocoa I had!"Merry leans in closer, making sure no one could see her as Toy Santa makes a few finishing touches on the toy soldier, admiring his own craftsmanship before making his way to the pantograph, enlarging it as well as copying it to create an army of toy soldiers.

Merry was in shock, seeing the toy soldiers come to life before her very eyes. She quickly leaves the scene and runs straight to Bernard's office, hoping he would be awake at this hour. Bernard didn't waste a second opening the door, being greeted by a worried Merry upon her entering the room. "Merry, what are you doing? It's the middle of the night" he said"Speak for yourself" said Curtis, organizing papers as a form of punishment.Merry raised a brow at the young elf's presence before getting back to the subject, "Guys, we have an issue regarding Toy Santa""What is it, Sugarplum?" asked BernardThe three gathered around as Merry told them exactly what she witnessed and heard. Toy Santa creating an army of toy soldiers, plotted to take over the North Pole, even giving every child in the world coal for Christmas, all because of the rules of the handbook.

"We gotta warn Santa" said Bernard, "I'll leave right now""No!" said Merry, taking the head elf by the arm to stop him, "It's too risky right now, you can't just go off at night""Merry's right" said Curtis, "This time we really need to come up with a plan""For once, I agree"Curtis smiled at the teen's agreement, Bernard taken by surprise. But he knew Merry was right, leaving the North Pole with an army of toy soldiers being created to guard the place was a risky move. So the three decided to come up with a plan in case anything went wrong, even planning to tell the elves about the real Santa's absence.
