No one's pov:

Naruto and Kakashi are taken to the leaf village. This time it's Kakashi and Naruto who are glaring at the villagers, not the other way around.

Tsunade, Obito, Sasuke, Sakura, Itachi and Shisui who are walking behind them sweatdropped at their behaviour.

Naruto and Kakashi are put in prison.

Naruto's happy-go-lucky personality changed into something like....tsundere type. He didn't show his affection much and hated affection in public. The only visitor he talks to is Sasuke, and never come out of his cell if it's someone else.

Kakashi on the other hand, changed from serious prodigy personality to a big softie. He would cling onto Obito when he visits the prison.

After two years, Naruto's 18 years old:

Tsunade released Kakashi and Naruto from prison. Sasuke and Sakura began dating and are engaged.

After Naruto got out, it's decided that Sasuke and Sakura would get married in two months.

Naruto was happy for them and arranged everything for their marriage.

After two months Sasuke married Sakura.

Three months later, Tsunade stepped down and announced Sasuke as the 6th hokage.

Shikamaru becomes Sasuke's advisor.

After one month of Sasuke being the Hokage, at the office:

There was a knock on the door.

"Come in." Sasuke said.

The door opened and Naruto came in.

"Naruto, do you need something?" Sasuke got up from his chair and went to Naruto.

Naruto walked towards the window and looked out. Sasuke followed and did the same.

"What's wrong, Naruto?" Sasuke asked.

"Sasuke, I need your permission to leave the village." Naruto said.

Sasuke panicked."Why? Did someone do something to you-"

"Calm down Sasuke. Everything is alright." Naruto said.

"Then why?" Sasuke asked. He didn't want Naruto leave. But if it's truly what Naruto wants, then he won't stand in Naruto's way.

"It's to keep the village safe." Naruto said confusing Sasuke.

"What?"

"Sasuke, my powers will attract danger. Now that the tailed beasts are not found, my status as jinjuriki will call attention. My sage of six paths power as well. I can't stay at one place too long. So I will travel around the world and destroy anything that can threaten the leaf village. You stay in the village and protect it from inside."

Sasuke understood the danger Naruto's talking about.

"I understand Naruto. I will protect the leaf village from inside while you protect it from the outside, a shadow hokage."

"A shadow hokage?" Naruto asked.

Sasuke nodded. "Someone who protects the village from the shadows."

"I like that name. So I'm the shadow hokage, huh?" Naruto said.

"So when do you plan on leaving?" Sasuke asked.

"As soon as possible. Tomorrow morning." Naruto said.

"Alright Naruto. I'll see you at the gates tomorrow." Sasuke said.

Naruto nodded and glitched away towards his apartment to prepare for his long journey.

The next day:

Naruto stood infront of Sasuke, Sakura, Shikamaru, Obito, Kakashi, Itachi and Shisui.

"Thank you Naruto, for everything." Shikamaru smiled.

"There's no need to thank me. It's natural to want to protect what's precious to big brother." Naruto said.

"If you are in any danger, let us know. We'll send help." Itachi said and Shisui nodded.

"Thanks I'll keep that in mind." Naruto said.

"Drop by and visit us sometimes, okay?" Sasuke smiled.

"Of course I will." Naruto chuckled.

Naruto turned around and walked away while waving his hands.

"Good bye everyone. I'll see you soon." Naruto shouted.

"Good bye. Take care of yourself." They shouted back.

With that, Naruto started his journey. To destroy the evil that are targeting the good.
