Anyways.... Sorry for disappearing. I really can't remember when I last uploaded and I just remembered about my books last night. So here I am now... Let's get into the story.

Chapter 23Comrades disguised as enemies

Itachi and Shisui pov:

It's been rather quiet lately. The only 'lively' person in the organisation is Naruto taking missions every now and then.

We are now walking towards the meeting room, where Kakashi summoned us to discuss something important.

We walked into the room and saw everyone waiting for us... and Naruto. Is Naruto away on a mission? It isn't like him to be late for group meetings, especially if they are important.

"Good. Everyone's here!" Kakashi's cold voice boomed.

"I have gathered all of you to inform about one of our members... Who left last week."

Someone left? But everyone's here except.... Wait... don't tell me.

Naruto left!?

"Uzumaki Naruto, left the organisation and is now hiding. It's safe to assume that he had already crossed the border. If you come across him on your missions, kill him...on sight." Kakashi said and walked towards the door.

He reached the door and momentarily turned around. "One more thing. We'll continue jinjuriki hunt from next week." With that, he left.

We were left shocked by what we just heard. We looked at each other before exiting the room and walking towards our shared room.

We immediately closed the door after we got in.

"I don't understand why Kakashi senpai wants him dead." Itachi said.

"I don't know either. But we must hurry up. Now we have two enemies. The Akatsuki... and Naruto. They both are threats to the leaf village." Shisui said.

In Konoha, hokage's office, Sasuke pov:

I was walking towards hokage's office to see if there's any mission she wants to give us.

I felt two familiar chakra signatures inside the office. The ones I haven't sensed in a while. I furrowed my brows and walked inside without knocking to see....

"Itachi!? And Shisui-san!?"

They both turned around, black cloak on and a Slash through their headbands.

"Foolish little brother..." Itachi started.

Oh... I'm gonna pummel the guy to the ground if he doesn't explain what the heck is going on... And why Tsunade is casually chatting with two S-class missing nins.

"You lack hatred-" Itachi was cut off by Shisui elbowing his ribs.

"Enough with that, Itachi. We completed our mission, there's no need to pretend anymore." Shisui said.

Itachi blinked twice. "You're right."

Itachi then put on a gentle smile, which he always had before the....massacre.

"I'm back, little brother." He said.

Seriously... The audacity of this guy to just casually show up and act like everything is okay.

And his partner in crime, Shisui... Why the hell is he grinning at me like that!?

"Sasuke, you are here. We can finally start discussing things." Tsunade said.

Discuss what!? Am I missing something!?

"You must be confused. So I'll start from the beginning." Shisui said, still with that creepy grin.

"Once upon a time, there lived a mighty and powerful clan, by the name Uchiha. They were pretty strong-" Shisui was cut off by Itachi.

"I don't think you have to start from that beginning. I'll tell him, what really happened." Itachi said, looking at me.

"Sasuke, I know you hate me and Shisui, but listen to us. What we did, was all part of a mission given to us by Danzo and the Third hokage."

What...is he... saying? Third hokage knew about this?

"It was back then when you were five, the Uchiha clan started to plan a coup, to overthrow Konoha's leadership and to prove how mighty and powerful they are. I joined Anbu when I was 11, because of our father, as a spy. But I was with the leaf village, so I become a double agent, giving hokage needed information, still pretending to give father some information. Shisui too helped me." Itachi paused, took a deep breath and continued.

"We tried to stop father from starting civil war, but he wouldn't listen. Without any other choice, we decided to use Shisui's mangekyo sharingon, Kotoamatsukami on father. But Danzo appeared and attacked Shisui, successfully stealing his left eye. Before he could get his other eye, Shisui cast Kotoamatsukami on him and came to me. He explained everything to me and said that he wouldn't be able to use his eyes for a while. Our only option was for him to flee, cause we weren't sure if the genjutstu worked perfectly with just one eye."

"Did it work?" I asked.

"Apparently, it didn't, at that time. We don't know why. After Shisui left, things got out of our hands and the only option left was to kill them. We couldn't wait for Shisui to learn how to control his power with just one eye. There was no talking the way out, father didn't listen to anyone. So the night I left you, I was given order to kill every Uchiha. So I killed everyone, only sparing you. I left you in hokage's care. I was asked to go rogue and infiltrate the Akatsuki to spy on them. We must stop the Akatsuki, it pose threat to not only us but the other villages too."

"So... You really don't hate me?" I asked. My eyes burned as I shut them tightly.

I felt someone hug me and whisper softly to my ear. "I never have and I never will."

Itachi pulled away and looked towards Tsunade, still hugging me from the side. Shisui came to my other side and put his hand on my head, ruffling my hair.

"We came back here not only because our mission is over." Itachi said. "It's because, now we have a new enemy. He is a hundred times worse than the Akatsuki. And it seems, he's only interested in going after our village, Konoha."

I can see Tsunade stiffen. I don't blame her. I too, felt sweat dribble down my forehead. Akatsuki is way worse as it is now. And another enemy hundred times worse than Akatsuki? That too coming from the well known and unstoppable, Uchiha duo of the Akatsuki?

Itachi must have sensed my nervousness because he tightened his grip and pulled me closer.

Tsunade gulped before speaking. "So who is this enemy you speak of? And why is he only after the leaf village?"

"His name is Uzumaki Naruto" Shisui said, now turning serious. "And he's after us, for revenge."

I flinched.

No way...

That day when I met him...he spared my life?

From what I heard now, he could've have killed me in an instant.

Wait... That's it...

He could've killed me... But he didn't.

I might be able to stop him.

"I will stop him." I said even before I know it.

Tsunade, Itachi and Shisui looked at me, shocked.

"I will stop Naruto and bring him back to the village. I will save him from the darkness he is in."

Their faces turned from shocked to soft expressions.

"That's Sasuke for ya!" Shisui said ruffling my hair.

"I'm proud of you Sasuke. We'll be with you. We'll help Naruto, together." Itachi poked my head.

"What he said, gaki." Tsunade smirked. "Besides, we all know Naruto only listen to you. So if anyone, only you can stop Naruto."

I smiled. The hokage, Itachi and Shisui are on Naruto's side. If the dobe realises that there are still people who care for him, he will come back.

Time skip to 8 months, no one's pov:

A 16 years old blonde boy stood at the end of the forest, looking at the border of the land of Fire.

"Are you ready, kit?"

A deep voice grumbled inside his head.

"Let's go, Kurama. I'll destroy Konoha, and the whole world. And once I'm done, nothing will be left behind, except Sasuke."

"It's time to pay the world for what they've done to me and Kurama!""It's time to pay the world for what they've done to me and my kit!"
