Chapter 19

"Those who stand at the top determine what's wrong and what's right! This very place is neutral ground! Justice will prevail, you say? But of course it will! Whoever wins this war becomes justice!"

Chapter 19Extraction of the one-tail

No one's pov:

The Kazekage Gaara was still in shock. Naruto took advantage of this, gathered chakra to his feet and jumped to the hight where Gaara is. He used his wind senbon to attack but was blocked by Gaara's sand.

Naruto clicked his tongue as he landed. "So that damn sand of yours protect you even without your consent, huh?" Naruto laughed. "But your sand is useless against my wind. No matter how much you harden your sand, my sharp wind would tear through your defenses." Naruto grinned as he slashed his hands through air.

An air current started to ascend towards Gaara. Kankuro, who now stood with the rest of the ninjas, asked them to shield Gaara. But as they tried to get into the wind's path, their bodies where torn to shreds. It looked like blood shower from the sky.

As the with reached Gaara, the sand surrounded him. But the sharp air current tore through the sand shield, surprising Gaara. The sand receded back to the gourd. When the sand cleared, Naruto was nowhere in sight.

Gaara looked around. Suddenly he felt strong chakra from above. He looked up and saw Naruto with a blue chakra ball. Naruto was fast and close. The sand wouldn't make it in time.

"Rasengan!"

Naruto punched Gaara with the chakra sphere. Gaara coughed up blood. The sand from his feet disappeared as he started to fall down. He hit the ground on his knees and looked up to see Naruto with a raised hand. He looked up and his eyes widened.

In the sky was whirling wind chakra forming, a GIANT version of rasengan. If it were to hit the ground, most part of the village will be destroyed. Gaara gritted his teeth, still in pain from rasengan hit.

"N-Naruto.... Stop this!" Gaara croaked out.

"Admit it Gaara. You too, want to destroy the place for what they've done to you, right? Don't try to hide it. I'll do it for you, since you are hurt." Naruto swiftly brought his hands down. The giant chakra sphere slowly started to descend.

Suddenly sand formed around the rasengan. At first, the sand were thrown away by the strong wind but eventually, it started to cover the rasengan. In short time, the rasengan is covered by a thick layer of sand. Naruto looked astonished.

"You know that ain't gonna help you right? By using that much of sand, you'll be out of chakra in a few moments and the rasengan will continue to descend." Naruto said.

"That few moments is all I need." Gaara said.

The sand began to move outside the village. In a few seconds, the huge ball of sand is outside the village gates. All villagers and shinobis were in awe of the Kazekage's power.

Once it's outside, Gaara released the sand and the rasengan hit the ground. With a loud explosion, a big crater is formed.

Inside the village, Gaara was panting heavily in the verge of collapse.

"I understand.... what you...went through... Naruto. I know...how exactly Jinjurikis are treated." Gaara said in between his heavy breathing.

Naruto would have knocked him out knowing Gaara would collapse any second now. But Naruto decided to hear him out. A generous act, quite rare for someone who doesn't give a damn, if you ask me.

"But.... I wanted... people to know me...as who I am... not as...how my.... father labelled me as....a jinjuriki....So...I worked hard....to be accepted...by my people.... and I... succeeded...I know... you can do it....too... there's still... goodness inside of...yo-" Gaara was cut off by Naruto hitting his pressure point.

Naruto looked down at the now knocked out Kazekage, who's lying down at his feet. He didn't say anything, but his eyes clouded by a certain emotion. His seal started to glow and his head started to clear.

"There's nothing good left in me, Gaara. For someone who'll die in three days, you sure sound so optimistic and positive." Naruto chuckled as golden chakra chains started to come out of his hands.

(Chakra chains is the kekkei genkai of the Uzumaki clan.)

They wrapped themselves around Gaaraand lifted him up. He went to the gates where Shisui was waiting.

"You did well Naruto." Shisui said. "Kakashi's hologram appeared and gave us the location where the extraction will take place."

"Gaara will die after the extraction, right?" Naruto asked. Shisui nodded. "Let's go." Naruto said quickly noticing Shisui searching his eyes for something.

After an hour of walking, they were attacked by something...a puppet.

They both jumped away, but the puppet got a hold on Naruto's cloak. A small piece of the cloak got stuck on the puppet's needle.

"You're annoying!" Naruto seethed as he took out five senbon, laced with deadly poison. He threw them at Kankuro, all five hit him.

He fell down in agonising pain.

Naruto laughed. "You'll die in three days if you don't get an antidote. Unfortunately, Konan's poison doesn't have any antidote. So you'll most likely meet your brother in afterlife."

They walked away. By noon, they reached the location. Shisui did the required handsigns and the lid of the cave opened. They entered as the cave closed.

He got inside and saw the distorted holograms of all members already waiting there around a statue. Only their eyes were the clear part.

"Good job, Naruto and Shisui." The hologram Kakashi with one eye covered said.

Naruto didn't say anything and Shisui nodded with a smile.

"Let's get this over with. I'm sure the sand village will get help from another villages. We gotta complete it before they arrive." Another hologram standing beside Kakashi said.

"No point in rushing this, Jiraya. We need three days to completely exctract the chakra beast. You're okay with that, right Naruto? I know you know him from back in village." Kakashi asked.

Shisui stood by Itachi's hologram and Naruto stood by Kisame's. Everyone's eyes are on Naruto.

"I don't care about what happens to him. He's just someone I knew. It's not like we had any special bonds..." Naruto trailed off. "Like Sasuke." He muttered so others won't hear him.

"Alright! Let's begin." Kakashi said.

Everyone did required handsigns and Gaara's body connected to the statue by a blue envelope. Slowly but painfully, Gaara's chakra started to transfer to the statue.

On fourth day morning, Naruto, Shisui and hologram Kakashi stood there with Gaara's corpse on the ground.

"I sense them coming. They'll be here soon." Shisui said.

"You can escape or stay here and fight them." Kakashi said.

"We'll stay here and greet our little ninja friends. We've been standing in same position for three days, my body needs some movements." Shisui said.

"Fine by me." Naruto shrugged.

Kakashi nodded. "Alright, have fun then. But don't stay here too long."

With that, Kakashi did handsigns and he and the statue disappeared.

Shisui and Naruto turned around, Gaara's body in the background.

"Now to welcome our uninvited guests.." Shisui said activating his sharingan as chakra chains formed on Naruto's hands as he smirked.

The lid of the cave destroyed as four figures stood at the entrance in the dust....
