Timeline: January 29, 2021

Friday morning, today is the day that I will be officially starting at HYBE–I'm not going there as Jaehyuk-oppa's little sister, but as a part of the production team. I slept so well last night for this big day. I'm also nervous to start this day as it is my first day back at work.

I'm no longer jobless...

I started to prepare myself as my phone vibrated, indicating that I had received a text message.

Heyoung-ya, come to HYBE by 10:30 am to meet the team.

Looking at the time on my phone–8:30am. I still have time to spare and prepare. I went to the kitchen to start cooking my breakfast–a simple 2 pieces of pancake with bacon and eggs on the side. Maybe I will also cook lunch for Jaehyuk-oppa.

Packing lunch used to be Oppa's job when our parents were away–he always took care of me whenever he could. I miss those days.

After packing the lunch, I went to the bathroom to take a shower and prepare myself. Afterwards, I went to my closet and took out plain black long sleeves and beige slacks, and paired them with white shoes. My outfit is simple cause I'm only under briefing today.

As I finished preparing myself, I double-checked everything before going out, like checking if all the plugs were unplugged. Then, I proceeded to lock the door of my apartment. I hailed a taxi for my transportation since I can't afford to buy a new car yet.

While inside, I took out my phone to take a picture and post it on my sns. I also texted oppa to let him know that I'm on my way.

Jaehyuk-oppa welcomed me inside the lobby. He led me towards the elevator, and he explained to me what I would expect today.

"Heyoung-ya, the production team is not going to bite you, okay." He said, gently patting my head. As the elevator suddenly opened to the floor where the production team was, oppa lowered his head, leveling it to my left ear. "And boost me to one of the staff in the production team." He whispered.

I immediately looked at him while he just smiled at me and exited the elevator. Upon making our way to the production room, oppa is making his way to help me calm down.

Soon we had reached the production room, and oppa opened the door for us. Everyone inside the room looked at us–they had stopped what they were doing. A woman with short hair went to us with a welcoming smile and greeted me–I also greeted her back, but as she turned to my side, her smile just disappeared. Meanwhile, the person beside her just kept smiling at her. Maybe oppa likes her?

The woman sighed and turned her attention back to me.

"You must be Heyoung-ssi." She said, "I'm Byeon Aerum, and welcome to the production team." She added with a welcoming smile.

Jaehyuk-oppa excused himself and bid his farewell as he had to go back to work. "Be yourself and relax, Heyoung-ya." He said, patting my head. "And remember what I had said to you earlier, okay."

Before he could go, I handed him the pack lunch that I had made for him. I smiled at him, and he returned it too–I bid him goodbye and wished him the best.

As he left, Aerum-ssi coughed and guided me to my desk, briefing me on what I would be doing for today. As the briefing was ongoing, I was introduced to the rest of the team–she also added that I would be part of the Music Video Production.

As the day went by, I managed to take a break and went to Jaehyuk-oppa. As I walked to the hallway, I bumped into a strong build–I almost fell, but that person managed to catch me.

"Are you okay?" The person who caught me asked. He pulled down his mask and smiled at me–the smile that I recognised. Scoups...

I looked at him, and he looked at me–both of us staring at each other, lost in our world. I immediately pulled myself together as he gently helped me to stand.

"Thanks," I said, fixing myself as he put his hand to his neck. "For catching me there."

I smiled at him and vice versa.

He put his mask on and asked me, "Where are you going, Heyoung-ssi?"

"I'm going to your practice room." I replied as he offered me to walk with him to their practice room. As we walked, we caught up on our days.

"Nae, Scoups-ssi, does my brother like someone?" I asked. "I mean he said to me earlier that I must boost him to one of the staff."

Suddenly, he laughed as if he already knew who it was—I looked at him curiously and slightly punched him on the shoulder.

"Why not ask him directly?" he said as he opened the door to their practice room. We immediately spotted the main person of our topic—Jaehyuk-oppa.

"HYUNG!" Scoups jogged towards Jaehyuk-oppa and attracted the attention of others. "Your sister wanted to ask you something."

Jaehyuk-oppa turned his attention to me and curiously wrote on his face–pointing at himself.

I smiled at him and nodded–I can feel the eyes of the others to us, anticipating what will happen next. I went closer to him and loudly asked him.

"Do you like someone on the production team?"
