It was now night time. Evelyn, Jonathan and Evan sat around the fire while O'Connell checked on the Americans.

"What do you suppose killed him?" Evelyn asked still shaken uped by the wardens sudden death.

"Did you ever see him eat?" Jonathan asked trying to lighten up the mood.

"You shouldn't worry, Evy." Evan told her sister. O'Connell then walks back to them.

"Seems like the Americans had little misadventure of their own today, three of their diggers were killed." O'Connell told them as he crouch beside Evan who was sitting besides Evelyn.

"What?" Evelyn asked shocked at the news.

"How?" Evan asked and O'Connell looked at her.

"Salt acid. Pressurized salt acid. Some sort of ancient booby-trap." O'Connell told her.

"Maybe this place really is cursed." Jonathan said as he threw some sand to the fire. A gust of wind blows through the camp. The campfire flickers. Jonathan and O'Connell share a nervous look. Evelyn laughs while Evan just looks at the fire.

"For goodness sake you two." Evelyn scowled. O'Connell plays around with the fire.

"You don't believe in curses, huh?" O'Connell asked not looking at Evelyn.

"Of course she doesn't." Evan said and looked at O'Connell.

"I believe if I can see it and I can touch it, then it's real. That's what I believe." Evelyn told O'Connell.  O'Connell cocks his rifle and gives Evan a big grin.

"I believe in being prepared." O'Connell said. Evan turned towards Evelyn and O'Connell with a smile.

"I believe in being open minded." Evan said and turned towards her brother.

"Lets see what our stinky friend believed in." Jonathan said and Evan smacked the back of his head.

"Have you no respect for the dead!?" Evan snapped and Jonathan glared at his sister. Jonathan opens the Warden's pouch. He reaches in, starts scrounging around. Suddenly, Jonathan screams in pain and rips his hand back out of the pouch. O'Connell, Evelyn and Evan jump.

"What?! What is it?!" O'Connell asked frantically. Evan had pulled out her gun and pointed it at the pouch. Jonathan sucks his finger, then reaches back into the pouch and pulls out a liquor bottle, the top has been chipped off.

"Seagrams!" Jonathan exclaimed in happiness. Jonathan smiles at the bottle, then turns the pouch inside out and shakes it, nothing but sand is inside it. Evan slowly puts her gun away and glares at her brother.

"You-" Evan wasn't in the mood to insult her brother softly she let him be. Jonathan takes a swig. O'Connell and Evelyn laugh, guiltily and then O'Connell suddenly kneels down and sticks his ear to the sand. Evelyn, Jonathan and Evan watch him. Then a barage of gunfire is heard coming from the American camp.

O'Connell jumps up and throws the elephant gun to Evan, "Stay here." O'Connell said and Evan glared at him. The dark haired girl threw the gun to Evelyn and stood up with O'Connell.

O'Connell and Evan take off running through the ruins. Evelyn immediately gets up and runs after the two. Jonathan grabs a gun, holds the bottle of Seagrams; tight and dashes after her.

Evan takes out her guns and runs side by side with O'Connell.

"Evy! Evan! Excuse me! But didn't the man just say--!" Jonathan was ignored. The American camp is under siege. Two dozen Mumia riders gallop through, firing rifles. Several Diggers are killed as they run. The Americans leap out of their tents firing. Kill multiple riders. Daniels is shot, spins and falls, keeps shooting. Henderson and Burns run to his aid, blasting away.

O'Connell races through the ruins and slams right into Beni, who is obviously trying to high-tail-it out of there.

"Goin' somewhere?" O'Connell asked Beni.

"Just looking for you, O'Connell! I wanted to be with my friend!" Beni said trying to cover up the fact that he was trying to make a getaway.

"C'mon, friend." O'Connell said and grabbed Beni.

"Why do you like to fight so much?" Beni asked as he struggled to get away.

"Cause I look good doin' it." O'Connell told Beni. Ardeth Bay gallops through the camp, cutting diggers down with his scimitar. O'Connell runs up on top of some rocks, leaps out and tackles him off his horse. The two men slam to the ground. O'Connell spins up onto one knee and fires, point blank. Blows the scimitar out of Ardeth Bay's hand. O'Connell is about to shoot again when a horse rides up between them.

Evan was tackled to the ground, as she struggled to push the man off she grabs her gun. Evan puts the gun on the mans head and shoots him. Evan pushes the dead man off of her and stands up. Evan turns to O'Connell and sees that a scimitar swoops down, almost takes O'Connell's head off, the man misses him by an inch. O'Connell leaps up and blows the rider off his mount. The horse bolts. Soon Ardeth Bay is gone.

Evelyn hides behind some rocks, watching the scene, suddenly, she hears something coming up behind her and spins around. A vicious tattooed Mumia rider races at her. Evelyn quickly backpedals over the rocks, terrified. The Mumia rider raises his scimitar, about to strike.

Evelyn screams, trips over a rock and fires the elephant gun. She blows the Rider off his mount and catapults him twenty feet back into some ruins. At the same time, the kick blows Evelyn off her feet and over a ridge. She flails through the air and lands in a sand dune. Jonathan and some diggers are holding their own near the temple door. Four riders come charging right at them. Jonathan takes a swig off the Seagrams.

"Let 'em have it, boys!" Jonathan said with a large grin. Jonathan and the diggers open fire. When the smoke clears, the riders are either dead or gone.

"I say, bloody good show." Jonathan said and then several more Mumia leap off the temple and land behind them. Jonathan and the remaining diggers spin around and suddenly find themselves in hand-to-hand combat.

O'Connell is quickly loading his pistol. He hears something thundering up behind him. He spins around just as Ardeth Bay on a horse swings his scimitar. O'Connell instinctively raises his hands to protect his face, the scimitar strikes!

Evan had stabbed a man and pushed him away but suddenly she was tackled from behind. O'Connell had seen this but looks back at Ardeth Bay. Evelyn was hidden behind some rocks besides her sister. The brunette had a dreamy look on her face as she looked at Ardeth Bay.

Disarmed, O'Connell dives and rolls and suddenly comes up with a stick of dynamite in his hand. He shoves the fuse into a fire. It ignites. He faces Ardeth Bay, towering above him. The two men lock eyes. The fuse continues to burn down. Ardeth Bay points his scimitar at O'Connell's head.

"We shall not shed more blood. You all should leave at once! Leave this place or die!" Ardeth Bay said. Ardeth Bay gallops off. The remaining Mumia riders race after him, vanishing into the night. O'Connell watches them leave, then turns to the burning fuse and blows it out. Evelyn staggers up, looking very shaken. Evan gently takes her and holds her close.

Jonathan approaches his sisters and pulls Evelyn into a hug. O'Connell walks over to Evan and wiped some blood that was on her lips.

"You alright?" O'Connell asked concerned. Evan looked at the charming man and smiled. He was concerned about her even though he knew that she can take care of herself. Evan also liked the fact that he held her so close, it was as if he was afraid to lose her.

"Yes, I'm fine. Thank you." Evan said and smiled, looking into his blue eyes. Beni crawls out from under some pillars as Henderson and Burns help Daniels to his feet.

"See! That proves it! Old Seti's fortune's gotta be under this sand!" Daniels said. Evan shook her head.

"For them to protect it like this, you just know there's got to be treasure down there." Henderson agreed. O'Connell looks up into the surrounding ridges, unsatisfied.

"These men are a desert people. They value water, not gold." O'Connell told everyone. Evelyn looks at Evan and O'Connell, suddenly very worried.

"Where's Jonathan?" Evelyn asked.

"I thought he was with you." Evan told her sister as she pulled away from O'Connell.

"He was, now he's gone." Evelyn said nervously.
