3(Ranma 1/2)

An Au where Nodoka after 5 or so years without seeing her husband and child, decides to look for them but after seeing what her husband was doing(the type of training and using their son to pay for things by throwing him in engagements), she decides to divorce Genma and take Ranma with her(if Genma went sooner to the pools with Ranma and he still has the ability to change into a girl when hit with cold water is up to the writer).

This changed many things for Ranma who actually had a loving parent to raise him and had stability something he never had until then.

I'm not sure how much this would change Ranma's personality but he might be calmer and be more affectionate towards his friends and people he loves besides Nodoka would have found a way to end all the engagements Genma got Ranma in, probably even the one with the Tendos as I think that she could be the better parent and let her child choose who he wants to marry and love when time comes.

So, they live in another city(which one is up to the writer) but when Ranma turned 16 they moved to Nerima with Nodoka's new husband(who had to do many things to get his stepson's approval) where Ranma meets all the characters we love and hate.

Would Ranma still be a martial artist? Yes, it is something I find hard to see Ranma completely leaving behind. What about all the canon fiances and those who had a crush on him? It is up to the writer if they would all still be attracted to this Ranma but it would also be nice if some of them simply became his friends since Ranma needs some true friends in his life. What about Ryoga and Ranma's other rivals? It would, once again, be up to the writer if they are still rivals.

Basically, anything else is up to the writer.
