18(Crossover)

An Au where Odysseus met SnV Poseidon when he was a kid and found himself enamoured by the good and at some point promised he would marry him someday(when he arrived to Valhalla) and that he would never hurt him in any way.

Poseidon while still holding dislike for humans found himself trusting Odysseus and keeping the human's promises to him in his heart and even became attached to Penelope(who he saw as close friend), Telemachus(who he sees like a son or godson) and some of Odysseus' friends.

But not too long after the war against Troy started, Odysseus stopped communicating with Poseidon and the others followed quickly on that. This affected Poseidon but he tried to believe that they were all occupied by the war and taking care of the kingdom.

When Poseidon heard that Odysseus had hurt one of his children, he couldn't believe that because while he knew the cyclops were mean more often then not his Odysseus would know to use his name to get away and not go and hurt them especially one whose father was Poseidon.

So Poseidon confronted Odysseus but it was like the humans had forgotten who he had been for them and simply saw him as a god that wanted revenge. Poseidon had no idea how to deal with the emotions he was filling so he reacted violently.

The rest follows Epic:The Musical's canon for most part but Odysseus does not torture Poseidon, he just hurts him almost fatally and Poseidon is left with a big scar that will always remind him of this happening.

After Odysseus dies, he starts having strange dreams involving Poseidon and soon finds out that someone messed with his memories(maybe Chaos? Odysseus could be the perfect fit to be his vessel so Chaos had Odin help him manipulate things so he could obtain control of Odysseus body? I actually have no idea so the writer can decide why someone messed things up...also, Athena had no idea that the man Odysseus had a crush on was her uncle as Odysseus simply called Poseidon the Blue Eyed Beauty when talking with her about Poseidon).

He tried to find a way to get his whole memories back and to not be once again used by someone but the only way he found was to choose to reincarnate and have his soul merge with a newborn soul.

With that, Odysseus says goodbye to his friends and family before he goes to the reincarnation cycle were he merges with a recently newborn soul that would be born in Japan witht he name Sasaki Kojiro.

Things follow SnV canon from here until the Sasaki vs Poseidon fight were at some point during the fight, Sasaki suddenly get his memories as Odysseus back and forfeits while saying that he scarred Poseidon once and wouldn't be able to bear to do it again or kill him which of course confused everyone except Poseidon who immediately understands that Sasaki was his Odysseus.

How anything else would go is up to the writer but this is pretty much a random idea that came to my mind because I had a song from the musical in my head and connected Epic Poseidon to SnV Poseidon and this was born.
