For a month, day in, day out Y/N has been seeing Jimin and Soar happily go to work together and come home late in the evening.

After everything it took a lot of guts to grab onto his sleeve like a child and ask to speak to him.

"Can you stay a bit?" she would ask him while Sora held the door open waiting for him.

"I'm sorry, I can't." he would gently pull his arm away and turn to leave.

The truth is Jimin just couldn't face her now, at least not for now.

He had a pretty good idea what was going on between her and Matthew especially since the male has been out of the picture for a while now.

First he would be coming to the apartment, whenever Y/N was working night shifts, with that girl Jimin saw him with a while ago.

Bit by bit he noticed Y/N was staying behind in front of the building every warm summer night, drinking by herself, sometimes tea, sometimes something that burns in a different way.

Finally one night he got up from the couch after she seemed especially out of it when he was coming back from work.

She was quiet when he passed by her, but her eyes were screaming pleas.

He threw on a random white tshirt that was laying in the pile of clean clothes and went down to join her tonight.

He had finally settled it with himself. He's ready to properly talk to her.

When he sat besides her they both kept quiet staring off into empty space ahead of them, until he could feel her hands wrapping around his arms as she leaned her head on his shoulder.

He tried to relax the following few second until he could feel tears wetting his sleeve.

"Shit Y/N...don't cry." he turned a bit putting one leg behind her back, with the other still in front of her, before he pulled her into his chest for a hug.

"I'm so sorry." she cried, clutching onto him as if he's about to disappear right underneath her fingers.

"I'm sorry too, but don't cry. It's fine. We'll talk this out. Let's go upstairs." he suggested, maybe a part of his subconsciousness knew what he was doing on autopilot.

They walked up the stairs, Y/N turning every now and then just to make sure that he's still there and not just a part of her imagination.

He walked into an apartment hat was half empty than the last time he was in here.

"He moved in with his girlfriend." she said, noticing Jimin's wandering eyes dragging over the walls.

"I'll be moving out soon too, rent is too expensive to be living here alone." she kept talking before meeting Jimin's eyes.

"When are you planning to leave?" he asked her, fearing the answer.

"Maybe a week, two at most. It's...I don't know." she wiped away the tears.

"I feel like I need a fresh start, work on changing myself a bit."

      Jimin could only nod.

His heart felt caged with pain somehow at the thought of not hearing Y/N spit profanities in the morning when she broke a plate in the kitchen.

Or even worse, he would be missing that late night company when both of them stayed quiet and enjoyed their silence, both on their own balconies.

"I missed you. Still do. More than Matty, more than anyone ever." she finally stopped crying.

      "But I'm here now."

"And I still miss you. Honestly I don't think I could ever get enough of you." she walked over to kiss him, only to be raised up from the ground, both of her legs wrapping around his waist.

He carried her to the bedroom, laying her down gently, kissing up her stomach and the valley of her breasts, and the column of her neck.

The thin robe she was wearing was dropped on the side of the bed before she pulled at his shirt to take it over his head.

"Wait..." she put both hands on his chest to stop him before he could kiss her again.

"What...what's wrong." he sat back, kneeling between her legs, thumbs still massaging circles into her hips.

She sat up and pushed him to sit with his back leaning against the headboard.

"I want to do it like this. Is that okay?" she straddled his hips, chest against chest practically and kissed him, feeling him smile into the kiss

He did his best to wiggle his pants down his hips before just sliding her panties to the side and feeling how wet she already was.

She didn't let him put even a finger in her, immediately sinking down on him, kissing him deeper than before as the moaned.

She hugged him, dropping her head on his shoulder as he kept kissing her neck, wrapping his fingers in her hair, pulling it back, for better access.

"I love you." she whispered quietly, making him pause for a second, stopping her own movement.

The fear was back, like he was about to slip away and she had him so close. So, so close.

"I-..." he flipped her over slowly, climbing back over her, moving her hair out of her face before placing both elbows on the sides of her head.

"I know...I know." he kissed her cheek two times.

"Now let me love you back." he said it just as he began pushing back into her, lips, dropping on her own, arms flexing from holding his torso up.

Her chest felt too tight, and she lifted both hands onto his shoulders, leaning her forehead against his as tears started gathering in her eyes again.

A few more long thrusts and she came with a cut off gasp, her nails sinking into his arms and legs tightly wrapping around his waist to keep him inside just a little longer.

After a few minutes Jimin pulled out, going to the bathroom to find something to clean up with before they were both snuggled in bed.

"What's happening between you and Sora? You seem...close." Y/N carefully asked, trying not to ruin the moment.

"Why ask? Are you jealous?" Jimin teased, not expecting her to grow quiet very suddenly.

"Wait...you're actually jealous?" he laughed, pulling her into his chest.

"I...I don't know. It just didn't feel nice for the past month when you would ignore me and leave with her. I thought you were back together." she said, hiding her face away shyly.

"No we're just back to normal, like it was before we ever decided to start dating." he explained.

"It's all thanks to you. Opened my eyes to quite a few things." he kissed her forehead.

"Can you stay the night then?" she asked.

"I can stay the whole week." he hit her with one up, chuckling at the way her eyes sparkled.

"And how about a whole lifetime?" she smiled brightly, but bit by bit it started to disappear when she saw his face fall.

      "Y/N you're leaving though."

      "Right."

One more chapter to go and maybe an epilogue later. Gonna post this one on AO3 for those who like that format more, I'm quite fond of the story in the end. It's a little bit messy, could have been done better, but oh well.
