Chapter 27

  Light shined through the useless white curtains making me squeeze my eyes closed and groan tiredly. I brought my hand up rubbing the sleep from my eyes before slowly opening them. Everything that happened yesterday flashed across my mind and I looked around at my surroundings carefully. I finally came in contact with Niall's sleeping face reclined back against the couch. He held me close to his hard chest and small snores escaped his partially parted lips. I smiled at how peaceful and innocent this bad boy had become. His hair was disheveled and sticking out from underneath his green SnapBack that was lopsided. His long eyelashes fanned out across his defined cheeks, his jaws finally seemed relaxed.

  I removed my head from his chest to find Olivia lying flat on her stomach, sprawled out across Louis' chest. His arms were wrapped tightly around her small frame and both of them were snoring rather loudly. I giggled quietly not wanting to wake anyone up.

  I felt Niall's arms tighten around my waist and he started mumbling incoherently in his sleep. I poked his chest trying to wake him from his peaceful state with a small smile on my face. "No." He groaned, holding me even closer to his toned chest. I held back my laugh by biting my bottom lip, before poking him once again. A grumble left his lips and his eyebrows furrowed in frustration. His blue eyes slowly fluttered opening, meeting mine in a matter of seconds.

  "Good morning, darlin'." His raspy morning voice spoke as a sleepy smile spread across his face. Warmth spread through me and a shiver ran down my spine before I matched his smile. "Morning."

  He sat up straight with me still wrapped tightly in his arms causing me to lean lazily against him. He looked around and his eyes landed on Louis and Olivia. He started to bust out laughing, but I quickly put my hand over his mouth to muffle it. His laugh made me smile widely and I removed my hand once he settled down. He met my eyes with a certain glint splashing through his.

  "Harry and Zayn are on their way back." I heard Liam say, making us break eye contact. I looked at him with hope running through my bones, but I was extremely disappointed when he slowly shook his head. He looking down ashamed and walked away, leaving me and Niall to talk.

  I felt Niall's arms squeeze my mid-section and his large hands ran up and down my back in a soothing manner. "We will find her." "What if we can't? What if...." I trailed off, thinking of all the things that could come out of this. Niall shook his head with a sigh and pulled me away looking deep into my eyes, a serious expression plastered across his face. "Don't think like that." He said sternly. "We will find her and she will be okay." I nodded absentmindedly, not allowing another tear to slip my already swollen eyes.

  "Now, lets go make you some breakfast. Yeah?" I nodded with a small sad smile. He smiled sympathetically and stood up with me still in his arms, bridle style. "You know I can walk right?" I let out in a laugh as he carried me with ease into the kitchen. He carried me as if I weighed nothing at all. 

  "I know."  He shrugged brushing it off his shoulders, making me roll my eyes and smile.
