Chapter 6: Heartbreaks and Marriages

I sit with Riker on the bed and nervously flip through the magazine with the picture of Ross kissing me on the cheek.

Did I like the kiss that Ross and I had? Duhh.

Did I want more? Heck yea.

Do I regret it? Fuck no!

But, I shouldn't have run away from Ross like that. He probably hates me now or probably thinks that I didn't like the kiss and that I don't like him. Which is totally false by the way because I do like him. After that kiss, there's nothing else I've been thinking about.

"Earth to Chloe!" I snap my head up and smile at Riker.

"Sorry." Riker just laughs.

"Come on, lunch is ready." I follow Riker downstairs and see everyone(including Ross)already sitting at the table. I'm about to go sit in Riker's seat to avoid sitting next to Ross, but Riker beats me to it. Damn you Riker.

I go over to the seat next to Ross and sit down, avoiding Ross's eyes. I quickly finish eating and follow Riker back upstairs in his room.

"Will you please tell me what happened between you and Ross that you can't even sit next to him!?" I just shrug, too lazy to respond.

"Aw,please tell me Chloe! Please, please, please, please!" I roll my eyes and nod.

"YEEESSS!!!" I giggle at Riker and sit next to him on the bed.

"So,we went to the beach. We were just playing around in the water and then we came out. We sat on the sand when suddenly Ross put arm around my shoulders. I didn't really acknowledge it. But then, we looked at each other at the same time and then he started to lean in. I didn't know what to do, so I leaned in too. W-we kissed. It was honestly amazing. But then, we pulled apart and then I jumped saying that we should come back home. So, we came back. I've been too scared to confront him about it." I finally look at Riker and see that he has a goofy grin on his face.

"You guys are so cute together. I can't believe that you guys are not even dating yet. Oh geez, at least your guys kissed." I playfully punch Riker in the arm.

"You are seriously not helping right now."

"Sorry sorry. Ok,but you seriously confront Ross about it. You shouldn't hide from your problems. You should face them bravely. Just tell Ross what you think he would want to tell you." I give Riker a bone crushing hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"Thanks Rik." I run upstairs to Ross's room to see him laying down, eyes closed.

"Rossy?" His eyes snap open and he gets up.

"Chloe?"

I go over to him and sit on the bed.

"Alright, we kissed. But I think it's better if we just forget it ever happened right? It's what's best for both of us." Something flashes in his eyes but it's quickly gone.

"Yea. I totally agree. We should forget it happened." I get up and kiss him on the cheek.

"I'm going home now. Bye!" I walk out the door.

Once Chloe steps out of the room, a tear slips down my face. I can't believe that she didn't like that kiss. Another tear slips down and suddenly, I'm quietly sobbing.

Once I get home, I quickly run upstairs to take a shower. After I feel refreshed, I come out and choose a tank top and shorts. After changing, I tie my hair up before going downstairs and plopping down on the couch.

I switch on the TV and start watching Austin & Ally when my phone beeps. I pick it up and see a text from Eric.

Hey beautiful. Wanna hang out today?

I run upstairs to change into something better. I choose jeans and a shirt that says "Be-YOU-tiful." I put on some mascara and lip gloss and run back downstairs and slip on my converse.

I go into my car and drive to Starbucks, park the car and go inside. I don't see Eric anywhere yet so I go and sit down in a table in the corner. About 5 minutes later, Eric walks in and looks around. When he spots me, his face breaks out into a grin. He walks over to me and sits down.

"Missed me?" I grin.

"Very much, Eric. Very much." He winks at me and I blush.

"You're cute when you blush," he says which is obviously going to make me blush more considering that he called me cute.

"Do you want to go for a walk on the beach?" I nod and we walk out of the shop and head down to the beach. We just walk on the beach until the sun starts to set. He slips his hand into mine and I smile up at him. He suddenly stops and turns to look at me. I give him a confused look.

"Chloe, I know we just met and everything but I can't stop thinking about you. So, will you be my girlfriend?" I grin up at him and kiss him on the cheek.

"Of course." Eric smiles back and we continue walking on the beach.

I drive back home and walk into the house to see Mom and Dylan making out on there couch. Okayy. I clear my throat and they both jump up.

"Oh, Honeybun. When did you get back?" I raise my eyebrows at her and she smiles innocently.

"Just now but I wish I hadn't so I wouldn't have had to walk in on you guys doing each other." They both start blushing and I laugh.

"Quiet Honeybun. Oh, we're going over to the Lynch's for dinner. Stormie invited us so that I can give some news." My smile turns into frown.

"What's wrong? You don't want to go?," Mom asks.

"I do. But the last time we went over there and you wanted to give news didn't really appeal to me every much."

"Oh don't worry, we're not moving back. This is some seriously good news. I promise." I kiss her on the cheek and hug Dylan before running upstairs to lay down on my bed.

I can't believe that I'm dating Eric. He's so cute..

but not as cute as Ross.

Sometimes I just feel like murdering that voice in my head. I take my hair out of its ponytail and brush it. I leave it down and go back downstairs just as Mom and Dylan are walking out the door. I follow them out but go into my car. I drive towards their house just a little above the speed limit so I can get there before Mom and Dylan.

5 minutes later, I park the car and walk into the house.

"Hey guys!," I scream. I hear footsteps running down the stairs and I turn to see Rydel and Ryland.

"Where's Dylan and your mom?," Rydel asks tapping her fingers on the railing. I hear a doors close outside.

"There they are." I walk upstairs to Ross's room and walk in. I see him lying down on the bed so I go over to him. His face is red and his eyes are swollen and red. Holy shit, he's been crying.

I walk quietly out of the room and go down in the basement where Riker and Rocky will probably be. I pounce on Rocky, messing him up.

"Chloe! If I lose, I'm definitely coming after you." I just laugh and sit on the couch.

"You love me to much Rocky." When he turns around to reply, I wink at him causing him to blush. I'm getting really good at this flirting thing. Before I walk out of the room, I lean down to kiss Rocky on the cheek.

"Bye baby." I leave while laughing at Rocky's face.

When I go upstairs into the kitchen, I decide to help Stormie and I lay the table.

"Thanks sweetie. Would you please turn the sauce on the stove?" I nod and walk over to the stove and quickly stir it.

"Dinner is ready kids!," I hear Stormie yell. I hear the footsteps and I smile at how eager they all are to eat.

We all sit on our regular places and start eating.

"Is everyone done eating?," my mom asks. We all nod in reply and she continues talking.

"Me and Dylan have some news for all of you. I hope it's good news for you'll just as much as it is for us." She stops talking and Dylan open his mouth.

"Sarah and I are getting married." Right when he finishes his sentence I jump. Everyone looks at me with worried glaces but I walk over to Mom and Dylan and pull them into a hug.

"You guys! Congratulations!" I kiss both of them on the cheek and they both smile up at me. Then, I think of something.

"Oh no." Mom looks at me with a confused expression.

"We're moving back to Miami aren't we?" Mom suddenly bursts out laughing and Dylan soon joins after. Everyone just looks at them with a weird expression.

"Don't worry. We're not moving back. Never ever." I squeal and look around the table to meet Ross's eyes but then I realize that he's not here.

"Did anyone realise that Ross hasn't been here?" They all look around the table and shake their heads. I roll my eyes and run upstairs and into Ross's room. He's still lying down on his bed, eyes closed.

"Ross. Ross!" He jolts awake and blinks.

"What?"

"It's time to eat!" We go downstairs and everyone turns to look at Ross. They all look at his tear stained face and worried expressions are put on their faces.

"Ross, have you been crying?"
