Angela had been walking home from her latest seminar at the Oasis University. The desolate atmosphere had gotten to her these last couple of days. The strategic plants enveloped in darkness had made her do a double take on countless occasions, especially the more tired she became. After all, she was practically a celebrity in her own right. The blanket of silence and darkness tonight mixed with the 7 coffees had earlier had hit her in a way she didn't want to truly address until she was back at home for a sabbatical.

The stench of musk had hit Angela's nose, stopping her in her tracks. Nothing had a scent other than eucalyptus leaves and sand since she left the college. Maybe it was in her head? She kept walking forward to her lodgings.WHOOOOSHH A sudden gust of air had practically exploded from what seemed like behind Angela, causing her to let out a screech. She had looked down, staring with her own belongings in her hands. A sheer black mist had been dissipating from the crevices of her textbooks, and a silence soon followed. Without a second thought, Angela began sprinting to her suite with as much energy she could muster, not looking back and not stopping as her face tensed with anxiety to get back home. The sound of her panting and the clacking of her orthopedic heels had echoed through the desolate passageway, the sound bouncing off the tiles and architecture made the journey seem exasperatingly longer than the normal journey back and forth through this route. Finally, the door to her room, 621, illuminated her vision as she had thankfully kept the light on as she was in a hurry earlier in the day. Her keys felt like sand going through her fingers as she tried to find the right one to her door. Pink? No luck... Orange? That's the key to her storage container in New York. She began hyperventilating, legs shaking as she went through key after key after key on her ring. Refusing to turn herself around, the scent of musk began filling her nostrils, burning the cilia more than anything else had in her years of being in a hospital. Purple? Bingo. The key went into the lock as naturally as the muscles on Angela's face relaxed when she heard it fit perfectly in. The door swung open as if alive. Had she used too much pressure? It doesn't matter. The second her small frame had gotten into her suite, the Doctor wasted no time in shutting the door, using her backside to push the door closed before finally turning around to lock it. Finally, she could relax...Angela dropped her things onto the nearby table, placing her hair into a messy bun and taking her heels off before sitting on her velvet chaise sofa. She took a deep breath in. An audible deep breath in, and then began speaking"Dr. O'Deorain. I know it is you."
