Sophie

I woke again huddled in an enormous velvet armchair. I yawned and sat up looking around at a large room filled with an abundance of armchairs and a central fireplace that radiated warmth all around the room.

Seated on another armchair, a young boy with strawberry blonde hair and soft dimples slept peacefully, the woman stood next to him, smiling softly. She gracefully strode over to where I stood and hugged me

"We were so worried about you"

I pushed her away gently and looked up at her peach face "Who are you?"

A single tear rolled down her face as she kneeled to me,

"I'm Gisela, your Mother"

My heart stopped as I whispered "Why can't I remember you"

She stood up "I think your father should explain that to you, but for now, we have to go say hello to everyone, they have been worried sick"

She took my hand as we walked out of the room and into another filled with people.

The man I recognised with blonde hair walked up and hugged me brushing the hair out of my face.

"Remember anything else yet kiddo"

I stared at him blackly as he stood up straight taking a step back, "Where is the other one"

"Dexter is asleep right now hun. He' a bit worn out"

I turned around and looked at Gisela with confusion.

"Who is Dexter?"

The door slowly creaked open and a short boy with messy strawberry blonde hair stumbled in rubbing his eyes, before looking up and gasping.

"Sophie! OMG, you're ok"

He ran over and strangled me in a bear hug, his dimples beaming on his face. I looked up at my mum but she looked visibly confused, staring at the other guy with a stern expression as he shrugged.

I looked back at him "Who are you?" I asked

He stepped back "I'm Dex..." Gisela sucked in a breath looking pale

He continued with a hint of sadness in his voice "...your brother" The pressure in the room gave out as Gisela let out a relieved breath.

I pressed my eyebrows together "But we look nothing alike"

He tilted his head as if he was confused. I looked up at my mother but she just looked at the roof pretending she didn't hear. The nice brunette man ran up to us, with a kind smile. "Never mind, let's focus on you remembering us, ok?"

I nodded and took a deep breath, "Um.. well I can't remember any of you?"

I started as the blonde-haired man as he smirked. "My name is Gethen, and I am your Father" Someone in the room snickered.

He kneeled " Oh Sophie we missed you so much, you went out with Dex and a rebel group kidnapped you and washed all of your memories, we only just managed to get you back" His voice stiffened "They will pay"

My brain twisted into a knot "What was the name of the rebel group" I asked.

"Black Swan," Dex said as his hands curled up into fists, grimacing. Something in my brain clicked when he said the words "Project Moonlark" I blurted out

Gethen stood up turning pale "Do you know what that means?"

I shook my head "I....can't remember anything else" I bowed my head.

The Brunette man kneeled next to me "Hey....It's ok Sophie" I lifted my head and he looked me in the eye "My name is Alvar"

I smiled sadly "I want to know everything"

I know it getting a bit confusing but BARE WITH ME it will come together :)
