Sophie
08:36, 9 January 2024I wake again to a woman standing over me, with tears rolling down her face. Her appearance was strange, and oddly familiar with a slender body and pale skin paired with blonde hair, and the most beautiful pair of ice-blue eyes I have ever seen. She leant down and kissed me on the cheek, sobbing
"Sweet pea, you okay" she rasped, tears rolling down her perfect face
I sat up and looked around the room, studying the walls and textures that the room bore. Sustaining a subtle purple colour with several portraits of me and the woman standing above me with a kind smile. Looking up the room is full of people looking lovingly at me, but for some reason, I just couldn't shake the feeling that something was just wrong, their smiles slightly forced as their eyes didn't show the same compassion. The pictures were too unreal as no recollection of being in the woman's arms came to mind. A shiver ran down my spine.
"Who are you?" I whispered as she turned away and cried softly, but too quickly as I couldn't see her expression.
The man with baby blue eyes and brunette hair walked forward and hugged me, pulling me tight with what felt like real compassion. My pulse slowed.
"Oh Sophie, we've missed you so much" He choked down a sob
"I can't believe they would do this to you" A growl came from the end of the room, he looked up at me his blonde hair perfectly placed on his round head. At the same time, I could have sworn the man with scares on his face rolled his eyes. Quickly I jumped up hesitantly, leaping from the bed I lay in, all at once the blood rushed to my head as my vision blurred and my knees bucked my body stumbling to the floor. The blonde hair man caught me, he sighed
"Darling, We need you to rest for now, you are not strong enough for what we have planned" Immediately someone violently hit his shoulder.
Rolling his eyes he elaborated "We just need to make sure you are fully healed before we can help you" He paused "Sweetheart" Smiling which made me immediately reassured.
My shoulders sagged, staring him in the eye I whispered,
"I'm fine" My limp body proved otherwise "I...I just can remember.......anything"
Uncontrollably I began to cry as he picked me up, cradling my body and put me to bed, before kissing me on the forehead and whispering in my ear,
"We love you sweetheart" with a soft voice that carried me off to sleep. And at that moment I knew for sure that although I couldn't remember my past, these were the people I trusted as they truly loved me and cared for me in my time of need.
