Chapter Thirteen
16:45, 29 April 2026Derek woke up slowly, stretching a little. He reached over, waiting to feel the warmth of a body but was met with cold sheets. Opening his eyes, Derek looked around the room frowning when he didn't see anyone.
He did see a pair of clothes on the end of the bed, with a note on top. Sitting up fully, Derek reached over grabbing the note.
Didn't want to wake you up, you looked so peaceful. Left you some clothes to change into. I'll be in the kitchen making breakfast. - Alex.
Smiling Derek stood up letting the cool air brush against his body before he found his boxers. Slipping them on, Derek grabbed the clothes Alex left out from him. Black sweats, and a black tank that felt amazing against his skin.
Once he was dressed, Derek left the room walking down the path he remembered from last night. Walking downstairs, Derek heard the sound of Spanish music playing and smelt food cooking. Following the sound, Derek found himself in the kitchen.
Alex stood in front of the stove, clad in only gray sweats, flipping a few pancakes.
"Smell's good." Derek said, enjoying the sight in front of him.
Alex looked up, smiling when he saw Derek. "Morning handsome."
"Morning." Derek grinned.
Alex motioned to the counter silently telling him to take a seat. "Coffee?" Alex asked stacking the last of the pancakes.
"Yes please."
Alex moved to the coffee maker, pouring Derek a mug. "Cream and sugar?"
"No, black's fine." Derek shook his head.
Alex hummed handing over the mug before going back to breakfast, making two plates. Three pancakes with whipped cream, scrambled eggs, home fries, and sausages.
He set the plates down, taking a seat next to Derek, his own coffee in hand. Four creams and three sugars.
"This looks amazing." Derek complimented.
Alex grinned, "Thanks. Dig in."
Derek cut into the pancakes first and took a bite. It seemed to melt in his mouth. It's fluffy, and delicious and Derek couldn't stop the moan he let out. His cheeks flushed realizing what he did and looked at Alex.
His eyes were dark, and slowly Alex set his fork down. "How hungry are you?" Alex asked lowly.
Derek swallowed, setting his fork down. "I could wait." He muttered.
"Good." Is the only thing Alex said before kissing Derek, sliding his tongue in his mouth. Derek moans, sliding his hands up Alex's arms, holding his shoulders tightly.
Alex pulled Derek up and they stumbled to the living room.
Alex pulled away, pushing Derek onto the couch, straddling his hips. "I hope you don't have any plans today." Alex whispered, nipping Derek's neck.
"None," Derek breathed heavily, hands gripping Alex's hips, groaning when Alex grinded against him. Alex grinned locking his lips with Derek again.

"Shouldn't he be awake by now?" Spencer asked, glancing at Emily's phone, the message to Derek still on delivered.
Emily shrugged sipping on her coffee, "Maybe he's busy."
"Busy?" Spencer asked, confused. Emily gave him a look, smirking a little. Spencer realized what she meant and groaned. "Emily."
"What?" Emily laughed. "You asked."
"I know, but I don't want to think about Derek like that." Spencer shook his head. Derek was practically his brother; there was no way he wanted to think about Derek having sex with his boyfriend.
Though, was Alex his boyfriend? Derek never said if they confirmed it or not but maybe after last night, they are. Spencer would have to ask. Shaking his head, Spencer took a bite out of his breakfast sandwich. "I just hope we meet this Alex soon." He muttered.
"I'm sure we will." Emily reassured him. Hopefully before the others on the team because Emily was not waiting for months to meet the man who's captured Derek Morgan's heart.
"When do you think the others will realize Derek's dating?" Spencer asked, amused that a team of profilers still haven't realized that their friend was seeing someone. Especially when Derek hasn't even glanced at a woman in over three weeks.
Emily laughed, shaking her head. "Probably when he kisses Alex in front of them."
"That would be fun to watch," Spencer muttered.

After a long hour of . . . fun . . . Derek and Alex finished breakfast and took a shower. Alex gave Derek some clothes to borrow. Dark blue jeans, and a red sweatshirt from last year's race.
Now the two were in Alex's car, going to a place Derek didn't know.
Derek shifted in his seat again, wincing a little.
Alex glanced at him, a smirk pulling on his lips. "Comfortable?" He teased.
"Shut up," Derek grumbled. Alex laughed. "Where are we going anyways?"
"You'll find out soon. Stop worrying." Alex told him, stopping at a red light. "Do you trust me?" Alex asked softly.
"Yes." Derek didn't need to think about it. For some reason, he did trust Alex. Trusted him enough to let him drive him to who knows where, without asking Garcia to track him.
And that was a little scary. Derek's never trusted someone like this. Never thought he could . . . not love, Derek doesn't think it's love, but like a man after what happened to him when he was a child.
Back then, after it stopped, Derek swore to himself he would never be with another man again. He tried once, in college, but the minute the guy hands touched him, Derek was back there, with him and he couldn't do it.
With Alex there was no hesitation. No fear. No flashback. With him it felt good. Felt comfortable. Felt like he got something he lost a long time ago, back. Something Derek doesn't want to lose.
"We're here." Alex stopped the car.
Derek blinked, shaking his head, getting rid of those thoughts. He looked around finding them at a pop-up state fair. "What?" Derek muttered looking at Alex.
Alex grinned, "You mentioned on our first date that you wanted to go to a fair." Derek blinked, he forgot he even said that. "So, when I found out one was going on, I decided to bring you. . . Do you like it?" Alex asked, suddenly nervous.
Should he have asked before bringing him? Should he have told him he was bringing him here? Stella always said he was terrible at giving surprises. Did he mess this up?
Derek noticed Alex's spiraling thoughts and grabbed his hand. "I love it." He reassured. Alex breathed a sigh of relief. Derek smiled unbuckling his belt. "Come on. I want to check out what games they have." Derek said excitedly.
He's never been to a fair just to go, now that he's here, he wants to try everything.
Alex chuckled but got out of the car, following behind his - boyfriend? Huh, Alex would have to ask to be official today. Hopefully he says yes.
"What do you want to do first?" Alex asked once there on the fair grounds.
Derek looked around, eyes falling onto the Thunderbird. "That." Derek grinned, grabbing Alex hand, pulling him towards the ride. Alex looked down at their connected hands and smiled. He would let Derek pull him anywhere if he continued holding his hand.
The two got in line still holding hands. "I'm thinking after this one, we can play some games, then maybe lunch or a snack." Derek told Alex.
Alex nodded, "That sounds good. We can head to the Ferris wheel before we leave. That's like the most important thing to do at a Fair." And the perfect place to ask Derek to be his boyfriend.
Derek smiled, his pearly white teeth showing, eyes brown. "Sound's perfect."
