Growing suspicious of the lady, Sakura moved back slightly and crossed her arms. "Why do you-" before Sakura could finish, she noticed the lady reaching for something behind her.

The lady pulled out a shuriken and threw it at Sakura. Before Sakura had the time to react, a kunai came flying and hit the shuriken away from her. Then Sasuke came out of nowhere and quickly apprehended the lady, pushing her onto the ground. "Sakura, go get our things. We have to go." Sasuke said.

Sakura didn't understand what was going on but she knew she'd have to ask questions later. She nodded her head before quickly going to the small home that the villagers allowed them to stay in. She quickly put all of their stuff in her bag before putting it on and running out the house.

When she got out the house, she immediately ran into more trouble. A guy ran towards her, ready to throw a punch. Sakura dodged him and hit him with a right hook, sending him straight through the house behind him. She then started running towards where Sasuke was but she didn't make it far.

Two large men grabbed her arms and held her off the ground. Sakura started kicking and trying to break free but before she could, the guy on her left suddenly collapsed. Then she felt the guy on her right let go of her arm. When she looked over at him, she saw Sasuke, standing in front of the man, pushing his sword through the man's stomach.

Sasuke then pulled the sword out of the man and sheathed it before grabbing Sakura's hand and running away....

Once Sasuke figured they were a safe distance from the village, he stopped running and let go of Sakura's hand. "Are you ok?" he asked as he stared at her with an annoyed yet tired look in his eyes.

"Yea, I'm fine. But what was all that about? Why were we being attacked?" Sakura asked, "And are you ok? You didn't get hurt did you?"

Sasuke sighed and started walking while Sakura followed closely next to him. "The people who raided the village found out that I was there. They came for my eyes." he said before coughing a bit.

"Oh...that makes sense..." Sakura said somewhat sadly. It wasn't right that people would want his eyes so badly; and the fact that he's probably going to deal with that for the rest of his life made Sakura feel even worse. "Wait, but what about the villagers? They need protection from the raiders."

"The raiders already took the villages valuables. They were there for me this time. The village is safer without me." Sasuke sighed. He knows that given Sakura's good nature, she'd want to go back and help the villagers defend themselves so he hoped that she'd see why they shouldn't do that.

Sakura nodded as she held his hand. "I understand...I still wish we could do more for them though." she said. But just before she could add on to her statement, Sasuke started coughing again. She looked at him concerned "Sasuke? Are you alright?"

"I was stabbed earlier...after you left to get our stuff." he said calmly. Sasuke didn't want to make a big deal out of this. He's dealt with worst when he was on his own. And yes, he did want Sakura to travel with him for her medical ninjutsu skills but he felt bad for needing her to heal him when he gets hurt for some reason.

Shocked to hear this, Sakura stood in front of Sasuke and stopped him from walking before checking his body for the wound. "Where did you get stabbed and why didn't you tell me?!" she shouted. Sakura was upset that Sasuke hadn't told her about this until now.

Sasuke stared at her intensely, trying to hold back a coughing fit. "I didn't want to bother you. I'll be ok." he said as he tried to push her away.

Sakura moved his hand away from her and she looked at him with a disappointed look on her face. "I don't want to hear that. You have to tell me when you're wounded. Otherwise, I won't accompany you anymore." she said firmly before going back to looking for the wound.

The look that Sakura gave him and the tone of her voice reminded him of his mother whenever she was upset with him. It wasn't something that he thought he'd be able to see after his mother died but to see that look and hear that tone coming from Sakura was a bit intimidating. Not wanting to upset her more, Sasuke stayed silent as she looked for the wound.

Eventually, Sakura found the wound when she lifted his shirt. He had a sizable wound on the side of his waist. Sakura pushed Sasuke to a nearby tree and sat him down on the ground before leaning him against the tree. She sat next to him and looked at him. "I'm going to have to take off your shirt and cloak. Is that ok?" she asked.

Sasuke looked away and nodded. He probably didn't actually have a choice in the matter anyway but he still appreciated her asking.

Sakura then removed his cloak and then his shirt. After she did that, she placed her hand over the wound and started to heal him.

While Sakura healed his wound, Sasuke ended up watching her. She looked so focused but at the same time, she looked pretty mad. It was cute whenever she got like that.

Feeling Sasuke's eyes on her, Sakura looked up and saw him smirking at her. She furrowed her eyebrows, confused as to why he was smirking, "What's that look about?" she asked.

Sasuke put his hand on top of her head and pulled her closer before leaving a kiss on her forehead. "Im sorry for not telling you about my wound, Sakura." he said as he removed his hand and looked away from her.

Sakura blushed and her lips tightened. She went back to focusing on his wound but now she looked more nervous than anything. "Yea yea...just don't do it again." she said quietly.

A little while later, Sakura was almost finished healing him. "Tell me if this hurts." she said as she felt and poked around the wound. "Do you feel anything?"
