02:03, 9 August 2025A/N: Hello. Just a reminder, because I am getting comments, this story is a mirror imagine of The Heeseung Complex. I asked and my readers said they wanted it with Sunghoon as the main character and that's what this is. This is why a lot of these scenes are similar to The Heeseung Complex. It is like an AU version of that story.

I will admit, this surprises me. It really shouldn't. Of course Jake would tell Sunghoon he is flying here to get Sohyun back. And wasn't I just asking myself if he still thought about me?
"What do you want?" I ask, sipping my drink, not turning toward him.
"I just flew ten hours in coach with a whining Jake and a kid kicking the back of my seat the entire time. What do you think I want?" He is closer now. I can feel his breath tickle the back of my neck.
"Sorry you wasted your time." I shrug, trying to keep my voice calm and steady. I will not let him know I am nervous. "I am not interested in having sex with you."
"Come on, Y/n. You know that isn't why I'm here." He whispers, his hand snaking around me to lay flat on my stomach, pulling me against his hard chest. The side of his face rests on the side of my head as he inhales. "Fuck, I have missed you."
"Let go of me."
"Let me take you somewhere to talk. Or sober up and we can talk in the morning. Please?"
God, why did he have to smell like him? Why did his touch still send goosebumps all over my body? I want to blame it on the alcohol, but I am not that drunk.
"No." I clear my throat, trying to step away from him, but he holds me there. "No, thank you. My boyfriend will be here to pick me up soon."
"Boyfriend?" He asks and actually has the nerve to chuckle.
Is it that obvious I am lying?
"Yes. My boyfriend." I pull at his hand, trying to get him to let me go. "And I doubt he would like you holding me like this."
"I am your boyfriend, Peaches."
"No, Sunghoon. You are my ex- boyfriend." I correct, the anger in my stomach rising. Who the fuck does he think he is?
"Okay. I will wait until he gets here. I want to make sure you make it back safely."
"Fine." I roll my eyes, pulling out my phone. I am having to commit to this lie now. I open Tim's contact and hit call.
"Hey, Y/n." He answers. "Wow, it's loud. Did you guys go to that club I told you about?"
"Hey, baby." I try not to wince as I say it. I silently beg for him to play along and not kick me out. Hopefully I am saying all of this correctly. "Sohyun's boyfriend turned up and took her home. Do you think you could come and get me? My ex showed up and..."
"Baby?" He asks. "Oh, I see. Yeah. I will be there in ten."
"You are amazing." I smile. "Love you."
Sunghoon makes a weird strangled noise as I say this and I can't help but feel a little satisfied at this.
"He will be here in ten minutes." I tell Sunghoon, turning to look at him.
Fuck, I shouldn't have done that. After only seeing him on a screen for the past couple of months I had forgotten how beautiful he is in person.
"Ten minutes," he repeats, voice low. "I can make you change your mind in five."
"Don't flatter yourself."
His smile falters just slightly.
"I'm not trying to flatter myself. I'm just telling the truth. You're still mine. You know it. You feel it."
I cross my arms, mostly to keep myself from doing something stupid, like touching him.
"You don't get to show up out of nowhere and act like I didn't end things for a reason."
"Yeah," he nods, his face falling, eyes dropping to the ground. "I really should have started with an apology."
"I don't want your apology, Sunghoon. I just want you out of my life."
"I can't accept that, I am sorry. I am so fucking sorry." He runs a hand through his hair, looking around. "I didn't want to do this in a bar, but since you refuse to go somewhere quieter, here it goes. Youngji caught me reading your comic the day after you kissed me in the pool after the Boynextdoor concert. She took my phone from me and began reading it. She mentioned that Seunghee looked like Heeseung and then she figured out the name. I was confused and hurt, not to mention a little drunk. She threatened to tell her followers about the comic if I didn't come clean and I told her about the comic."
"I don't want to hear this." I say through gritted teeth, tears stinging my eyes now.
"You deserve the truth. I should have told you the second I got back." He goes on. "But the more time that passed that I didn't, the more angry I knew you would be. I had already fallen so deeply in love with you, I couldn't imagine losing you over this. She swore she would keep her mouth shut."
"Okay."
"Okay? That's it?"
"What else do you want from me, Sunghoon?" I wrap my arms around myself, stepping back.
"I don't know. Something besides okay. I have been miserable without you."
"It doesn't change what happened. It doesn't change what I walked into, what you said to Heeseung..."
"I have apologized to Heeseung. Again, I just didn't want anything pushing you away from me. I was afraid he was going to confess his love and you'd run to him." He argues, running a hand through his hair again.
"So your answer was to get naked with Youngji in her bedroom?"
"I wasn't naked. I got blood on my shirt..." he sighs, shaking his head. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have put myself in that situation. I should have texted you and I shouldn't have gone upstairs with her."
I can tell he means it. I see it in his eyes, he is remorseful. But the thing about apologies is that even when they come from the heart, they don't undo what was done. I can still hear Youngji refer to my comic, see him shirtless with his hands on her waist.
"Hey, babe." Tim slings his arm over my shoulder. "Ready to go?"
"Yes." I nod, turning away from Sunghoon.
"Tim, right?" Sunghoon sounds smug again, not something I was expecting after him finding out I did have a boyfriend.
"Yes."
'"I'm Sunghoon. Um.." I can tell he is struggling to find the words in English. "Jake's friend. I stay with you."
"Oh," Tim's eyes go wide as he looks down at me.
Shit.
