Jacob has really embraced being a wolf. He's definitely been the quickest to gain control out of all of the Quileute boys. And as much Jules knows he's relieved that he's able to talk to her about it, she knows he wants to tell Bella. He's conflicted, though, because he's aware that she knowingly affiliated herself with Vampires, his deadly enemy, but, apart from Jules, Bella was still his best-friend. And he despised that he had to listen to Sam and couldn't tell Bella even if he wanted to.
In happier news, Jared had Imprinted. Kim Lewis was a girl in his class, and she had been off for a while, pulled out of the school with special permission is travel and spend time with her dying Aunt who'd brought her up. However, she had come back a mere week ago and Jared Imprinted the second he saw her. Turns out, Kim had always harboured feelings for Jared so their bond was pretty much already decided.
Kim and Jules had become fast friends since being introduced. Even calling themselves 'the Imprintee support sisters' which really annoyed Sam and Jared as it meant that the girls now shared a sacred right to girls only nights.
Speaking of Kim, that's exactly who she was on the phone to. Whilst Sam was trying to not grab her mobile and throw the damn thing out the window.
"Well, why don't we go down this weekend?" Jules suggested.
"You're down for that?" Kim asked, sounding a little unsure. "Are we even allowed to leave the boys?"
"Girl, they've not imprisoned us," Jules reminded her. "Of course we're allowed to go."
"I just don't want him to worry too much," Kim admitted.
"Babe, he worries if you cross the street and you're not there," Jules chuckles. "Look, I'm not trying to make you do anything you don't want to, but don't not do it because he won't like it. You're allowed a life outside the bond without him, you know?" Then, she sighed softly. "But, if it makes you and him feel better, he can take us and pick us up."
"And if he insisted on following us around Port Angeles?"
Jules laughed properly then. "At least we'll have a big, strong man to carry our bags."
Kim laughed too. "This weekend then," she agreed. "I best let you go, I think I can hear Sam's pout from here." Jules giggled, looked back at her boyfriend and giggled some more, before agreeing and saying 'bye' to Kim.
As soon as Jules shut her mobile off, she felt herself being pulled backwards into her boyfriend's topless chest.
"God, you're clingy," Jules teased, but happily accepted his lips on her own. "I assume you'll be wanting to come with us this weekend too?
"Of course," Sam said without hesitation. "I want to live out my Pretty Woman fantasy."
Jules laughed again. "And, it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I'll be in a City I don't even know for almost an entire day?"
"I have no idea what you're on about," Sam played along, kissing his girlfriend again. "I'm not that clingy."
She laughed. "Babe, you're literally entrapping me under your giraffe legs."
"I suppose it's a good job you love me, then," Sam said smugly. Jules didn't even get to respond as Sam captured her lips in his once more. She wasn't mad about it one bit.

Needless to say, the trip to Port Angeles had to be rescheduled. A Vampire had rudely turned up in Forks, and both Jules and Kim were asked to stay together until this matter was resolved. Naturally, they took this as an opportunity to turn his living room into something that they were adamant assembled a castle worthy of princesses.
"I still can't quite believe that this is my life now," Kim was saying. "Vampires and Werewolves. All sounds a bit, fantastical, doesn't it?"
Jules chortled, "you're telling me. Took me a hot minute to take it all in, though," she added. "And I technically found out about Vampires on my own."
"What?? How??"
Jules couldn't help but chuckle at Kim's bug-eyed expression. "My sister dated one for a bit."
"I bet your fucking pardon? Did she know??"
"Oh, yes," Jules nodded. "You know the Cullens who used to live in Forks?"
"The Cullens were Vampires?" Kim questioned, flabbergasted. "All of them?"
"All of them," Jules confirmed. "Bella dated Edward. Before he left her."
"I was wondering.. why did they leave?"
"Belly got dragged to their house for some sort of sick birthday party or whatever you wanna call it," Jules sighed. "Anyway, something happened that night and I've asked Bell I don't know how many times about what happened but she won't say. Regardless, it has to be bad if the entire coven had to up-and-leave and not just Edward."
"Shit," Kim breathed out. "Wait, she's the girl who basically turned into a zombie? Over a guy? Whom she'd known for, what, 12 months?"
Jules scoffed, humorously, "try seven." Kim opened her mouth to say something else but Jules cut her off with a look that said, "girl, don't even try."
As much as Jules loved Sam, she'd be forever grateful that Jared Imprinted on Kim, for the simple fact that Jules had a new gossip friend.

"Jacob came to see me last night."
"Hello, Bella, how are you?" Jules rolled her eyes at her sister's no-nonsense attitude. "JJ came here?" Bella nodded. "Is he okay?" Jules asked, remembering she had to keep up the pretence that she hadn't seen Jacob since he 'got ill'.
"He came to apologise," Bella sighed, crossing her arms. "Said he wishes he could explain but "literally can't"; whatever the hell that means. Starting saying it was this big secret that he couldn't tell me, almost as if he'd been literally forced not to. Then, started sprouting something about this story he told me once about the Cold Ones and he was asking me to remember, that everything would be "so much easier" if I knew."
"Remember what?" Jules asked, trying to pretend she wasn't worried that Jacob may have overstepped.
"That's the thing; I literally don't remember," Bella huffed. "It was about the Cullens, I think."
"Belly, I told you before that pretty much everyone knew the rumours, or, at least, there was something fishy about the Cullens," Jules reminded her sister.
"But, it was like HIS secret depended on ME remembering the full story and I just.. don't," Bella said before groaning with frustration.
"Bell, you know I take anything JJ says with a pinch of salt," Jules tried to joke it off. "He dramatises everything. He's probably just trying to get your mind off everything by acting all mysterious and shit."
"You think so?" Bella asked, brows raised skeptically.
"I do," Jules replied. "I think he's just trying to be a good friend. I mean, by all means, try and solve his little riddle but personally, I doubt it'll actually lead anywhere."
Bella bid her twin 'goodnight' after that and left for her own room. As soon as she left, Jules flopped back on her bed, letting the panic bleed into her face now.
"If you've told her anything," Jules muttered to herself, "I swear to God, Jacob Black, if Sam doesn't kill you, I will."
—————————————————————————
Jules was at Sam's on her own as it was Kim's grandmother's birthday and Sam was out with the pack. She was in the middle of making lunch when her peace was ruined and the front door opened. Jules was not surprised to see Jared and Embry, but was a little shocked to see her sister walking in behind them.
Bella was evidently equally as shocked to see her sister there, "Jules?".
"Bells?" Jules raised a questioning brow at the boys behind her, but Jared simply shook his head. "You're just in time, actually." She took out something from the oven. "Banana bread?"
"You are a Godsend, woman," Jared said in complete seriousness as he took her spot to slice up the banana bread.
"Spread it out equally, Jar," Jules rolled her eyes, chuckling at Jared's face. "There are 5 of you now, yeah?" Jared groaned; Jules simply laughed as it looked like it physically pained Jared to slice it more equally.
"Sorry," Bella piped up causing Jules and the two Shifters to look at her, "am I really supposed to skirt over the fact that you knew about Jake and didn't tell me? I mean, I came to you, last night, because I knew that something wasn't adding up and yet you still brushed it off and lied to my face."
"Bells, I couldn't," Jules sighs. "It's not for me to say."
"How long?" Bella asked. "How long have you been keeping this from me?"
"Believe me, Bells, I wanted to tell you," Jules sighed again. "I wanted to tell you when I first found out but I literally couldn't."
"Let me guess: Sam?" Jules couldn't help but gasp at the disdain in her sister's voice for her boyfriend. "You know what, Ju? I don't even care."
"Hey, J?" Embry piped up, mainly just to take the attention off the tension between the sisters for a second. "This is delicious. There might not be any left by the time Sam gets back."
Jules chuckled, "he'll survive. Speaking of, where is he?"
"Bella, erm, surprised Paul this morning."
Jules rolled her eyes, unsurprised that Paul Shifted. That poor boy got wound up so easily sometimes. Jules turned to her sister, "are you okay? Paul didn't get you or anything, did he?"
"No," Embry answered before Bella could; a smirk plastered on his face. "Jake heroically stepped in."
"Gotcha," Jules nodded, a tiny smirk of her own on her lips. Jules then looked at the time and smirked wider, "you two eat as much as that bread as you want."
"You're making 'em starve?"
"Hardly," Jules laughed. "But, that's on them for being late. And for fighting." The two boys chuckled as they happily devoured the rest of the banana bread. "If you want some Bells, I suggest you take it in the next two seconds before Jar and Em finish it." And so Bella, never able to resist Jules' banana bread, grabs a slice for herself.
"Well, seeing as it's just you two here, you get the choice. What do you want for dinner?"
"Do you make food for all of them?" Bella asked her sister.
"Most days, yeah," Jules answered. "Usually, it starts with a pack vote which can get very heated and messy so I'm actually glad it's only these two." Jules gestured to Jared and Embry.
Just then, the front door opened again and Sam stepped through. Sam crossed the room as quickly as he could and took Jules in his arms, before connecting their lips. Jules smiled into the kiss as she pulled him closer.
"Hey, non of that," Jared complained. "I'm eating!"
"Then shut up and eat," Sam suggested, pressing another kiss to his girlfriend's lips.
Jared did an over-exaggerated gag which earned him a wooden spoon thrown at the back of his head. "Sam, your girlfriend's abusing me."
"Deal with it," Sam mumbled, his voice a tad muffled as his face was still buried in Jules' shoulder.
Laughter was heard from outside and Jules looked to see Jacob and Paul walk through.
"You boys all good?" Jacob simply nodded as he beelined towards Bella.
"What a great best-friend he is."
Jules chuckled but nodded along with Paul, "top notch." Paul snickered at this. "I was gonna starve both of you but I'll be nice. There's a couple cold enchiladas in the refrigerator."
"You're the best," Paul grinned and manoeuvred his way to the food.
"Hey guys," Sam perked up, now in full Alpha-mode. "Jacob has information for us." Jules also perked up at that.
"I know what the redhead wants," Jacob said. "That's what I was trying to tell you before."
"And?" Jared asked.
Jacob's face got serious. "She is trying to avenge her Mate. Only it wasn't the black-haired Leech we killed. The Cullen's got her Mate last year."
Jules stared at Bella, having made the connection.
"And now she wants Bella," Jules finished off for Jacob. Jules stepped away from Sam and towards her sister. "What happened to no more secrets?"
"Guess we both broke that promise," Bella said.
"Sure," Jules nodded slowly. "However, my secret, I wasn't allowed to tell you. Your secret; you know I knew. It's a bit different when a fucking Vampire's trying to kill you, Bells."
"We'll be changing our patterns," Sam commanded the room once more. "We'll try leaving a few holes, and see if she falls for it. We'll have to split up, and I don't like that, but if she's really after Bella, she probably won't try and take advantage of our divided numbers. Paul, Jared and Embry will take the outer perimeter. And Jacob and I will take the inner. We'll collapse in when we've got her trapped." Sam then looked directly at Bella. "Jake thinks it's best for you to say down in La Push as much as possible." Bella nodded.
"What about Charlie?" Bella suddenly asked.
"March Madness is still going on," Jules grinned. "Bet JJ's dad and Harry Clearwater'll keep him occupied when he's not at work."
"Wait," Sam said suddenly, looking between Jules and Bella, "that's only what Jacob thinks is best. You'll need to decide for yourself. You should weigh the risks of both options very seriously. You saw this morning how easily things can get dangerous around here. How quickly they get out of hand. If you choose to stay with us, I can't make any guarantees about your safety. If there was somewhere else you felt safe," Sam continued.
"I don't wanna lead Victoria anywhere else," Bella whispered.
Sam nodded, "that's true. It's better to have her here, where we can end this."
"You'll be careful, right?" Bella asked the Shifters.
The pack all laughed, but the Swan twins shared a look. Vampires could seriously hurt and sometimes even kill Shifters, and if Bella's face was anything to go by, this Victoria was an experienced hunter.
Jules cuddled Sam a little tighter that evening.
