Call Me Eobard

I hop into S.T.A.R Labs Sunday morning.
I got a couple of hours of sleep last night but am still feeling utterly exhausted.
"Hey Rae," I familiar voice calls out as I walk into the cortex. I look up to see Wally.
"Hey Wally, how are you?" I ask, putting on a fake smile.
"Better than you. You look like you need some serious caffeine," he says, looking at the big bags under my eyes and my tired expression.
"Should we go to Jitters?" I suggest. He nods and grins before he picks me up and in a second were standing outside of Jitters.
"Wally, what if someone had seen you?" I scold him as he puts me down. Luckily I still have my crutches with me.
Wally shrugs and smiles.
"But nobody saw me so I'd say we're safe," he says as we walk into Jitters.
We order ourselves two zooms before we sit down at a table in front of the window.
We start talking as we wait but I drone off a bit, thinking about the Reverse Flash.
"You know you can tell me if anything is wrong?" Wally says suddenly. I look at him.
Should I tell him? I get a sudden headache, not as bad as the one I got yesterday but still bad enough to make me wince.
"Do not tell him," The Reverse Flash says in my head. Right, I forgot he could read my thoughts.
"And call me Eobard. It's getting annoying with the whole Reverse Flash all the time," he says.
"Are you OK?" Wally asks me, looking at me with concerned filled eyes. I nod.
"I'm fine, just got a bit of a headache," I tell him with a small smile. Before he can say anything else, our coffees arrive and we head back for S.T.A.R Labs.
......................
"Eww! That is disgusting! How do people even drink this stuff?!" I exclaim after taking a sip of my coffee. Wally laughs at me.
"You're lucky H.R isn't here, he would've hated you for life," Cisco says as he walks in.
"Who's H.R?" I ask curiously.
"One of the many Wells's that have come to S.T.A.R Labs. He was Obsessed with coffee," Cisco explains.
I nod, thinking about Eobard Thawne again. I shrill beeping noise pulls me out of my thoughts.
"What's that?" I ask Cisco as he runs over to the computer next to my wheelie chair that I'm currently sitting in.
"It's the meta human alert," he quickly tells me.
Wally flashes away and comes back in a split second in his Kid Flash suit. Wow, that looks a lot like the Reverse Flash's.
"There's a strange peak in seismic activity downtown. There is no fault line nearby but they just got a 4.2 earthquake," Cisco tells him as he pulls up the security camera feed.
"On it," Wally says before speeding away.
"What do you see Wally?" I ask him as he arrives.
"Uhh, there's a person wearing a long trench coat kneeling in the middle of the street with his hands on the ground," Wally explains.
"Can you put meta cuffs on him?" Cisco asks. We hear a whooshing sound and the sound of fighting over the cons before everything goes silent.
"Wally? Are you OK?" I ask, concerned. There's a moment of silence.
"Yeah, I'm OK. He got away though," Wally answers after a moment. Cisco and I both let out a sigh of relief.
......................
"His name is Curtis Blackwood. He's 24 years old and currently lives alone in an apartment in Central City," Cisco says as he pulls up his file, "he works as a seismologist at Mercury Labs."
"Should I go check out his apartment?" Wally asks. Cisco shakes his head.
"We don't want to scare him off and I think Kid Flash at his doorstep will do exactly that. I'll go check it out," Cisco tells him as he stands up and heads towards the door.
"I'm coming with," I call after him as I scramble to grab my crutches. Cisco and Wally both share a look.
"What?" I ask.
"Rae, I don't know if it's the best idea for you to go with..." Wally starts.
"Why not?" I ask him, getting slightly annoyed.
"It could get dangerous and your leg is still injured plus Caitlin would kill us," Cisco says. I glare at him and Wally.
"Fine, I guess I'll just have to tell her you bought me coffee this morning," I say as I start to walk away.
I hear both the boys freaking out behind me.
"Wait Rae, stop! You can come with," Cisco quickly calls after me. I turn back around to face them with a smirk on my face.
"Just do exactly as I say and leave at the smallest hint of danger," Cisco warns me. I nod and give him a bright smile.
......................
We are currently standing outside of what we hope is Curtis Blackwood's apartment. Cisco raises his hand and knocks on the door twice.
It opens up to reveal Curtis.
"Hello, who are you? " Curtis asks cautiously. Cisco opens his mouth to answer but I interrupt him.
"We are with the help a puppy in need foundation and we're wondering if you would be willing to donate a small amount of just $30 to save a puppy in need," I tell him with a small smile.
He gets a sudden cautious look.
"I'm sorry. Maybe another day?" he suggests as he starts to close the door but I stop it with my crutch.
"I understand. You are just the type of person that doesn't care about homeless, injured little puppies. I guess dozens of helpless puppies will die all because you weren't willing to give $30," I tell him. Cisco acts along beside me and shakes his head in disappointment.
Curtis's eyes widen.
" Oh, no, of course I'll be willing to donate $30. Let me just grab my wallet," he starts to walk back inside his apartment.
" Well just make ourselves comfortable" I tell him and before he can protest, Cisco and I walk into his apartment.
Walking inside, I wouldn't call it an apartment. It's more of a high-end penthouse with 180° views of the city.
"Wow, how did he afford this with the salary of a seismologist?" I ask Cisco curiously.
"I would say quake powers would really help in robbing banks," Cisco answers. That would explain it.
"Here's $50. The puppies deserve it," Curtis says as he walks over to us and hands us a $50 bill. I grab it and stuff it in my back pocket.
Cisco slowly reaches into his back pocket to grab the meta cuffs.
Curtis notices this and quickly bolts towards the door. Cisco tries to run after him but all of a sudden the room starts to shake violently.
My eyes widen. He's causing an earthquake!
"Rae, watch out!" Cisco yells. I look up and see a ceiling beam about to fall in me before Cisco pushes me out of the way and it only ends up scraping my cheek slightly.
"Are you OK?" Cisco asks me. I nod, huffing and out of breath.
Well, that didn't go as planned.
