21:37, 9 February 2016A/N HOLY SHIT THIS NEW UPDATE IS POPPIN.
*Rose*
Darkness. That's all I can see is darkness. I can't feel anything either. How did this happen ? Where am I? The last thing I can remember is being tossed down somewhere.
I hear the radio playing. It was my favorite song. "Summer Breeze."
"Open your eyes Rose." I hear a voice telling me. That voice sounds familiar. I open my eyes and I'm in a different place. I know this place.
"Good morning mija! You gotta get ready for school!"
What? School? I'm 29 years old..
I look around and wonder where I am. There's a little girl lying in her bed, and a woman trying to wake her up. I walk closer towards the bed and gasp when I realized where I was exactly.
I'm back in Boston. That's my mom when she was 31, and that's me when I was 13...
"But mommy I wanna stay home with you. Can I stay please?" The young me says.
"No mi amor, you have to go so you can be smart and get good grades! We need a smartie pants in this family." My mom chuckles. "Come on baby, let's get dressed."
The young me jumps up and gives my mom a million kisses before bouncing to the bathroom to get dressed.
This was the last time I saw my mother before she went to jail.
I'm in 1972.

*Michael - Present Day*
I didn't realize I had passed out after seeing Rose until I woke up in the back seat of my car, with Bill driving and Dalma in the passenger seat.
"What happened?" I ask, feeling weak.
"Oh Michael you woke up thank you God!" Dalma yelled, causing Bill to swerve a little. "Ay stupid watch the road!"
"Sorry. You okay boss? We thought we had to take you in the emergency room also." Bill asks, and I rub my head trying to remember everything that just happened. As soon as I did, I sprang up again, alert.
"Where is she?" I ask.
Silence.
"Hello?" I clap my hands. "I know y'all can hear me. What happened to Rose?"
Dalma sighs. "Billy, you tell him. I don't want my blood pressure to rise." She leans back in her seat.
I look over to Bill and he sighs, and points to the vehicle in front of us. "Rose is in the ambulance there. We're following them to the hospital. Roses cousin and aunt came with papers to sue Rose for -quote threatening her cousin with an armed weapon, unquote-. She apparently beat Traci up a couple of months ago and left scars all over her face. She's supposedly still getting surgery for it."
"I didn't know she busted her tits open either. Bitch got a whole new set of tatas. I wonder who's dick she sucked for them." Dalma mumbles under her breath.
"Anyways," Bill continues, "She is suing Rose for emotional stress and other shit and is looking for almost 5 million dollars."
My eyes widen. "Are you serious?" They both nod. "Wow."
"That's not even the worst part Chico. Rose said that she wasn't going to do it, because all they want is her money, and she told them to get the fuck out. They wouldn't leave, so I beat my sisters ass once again. Bloody nose and all. Still wouldn't go. So Rose threw a vase at Tracis head, and Traci pulled out a gun and tried to shoot us. Luckily the piece of shit missed, but it grazed Roses arm just a little. As I was trying to get Traci off, Gisel comes and knocks Rose out with a skillet, and keeps beating her until she was unconscious." Dalma stops talking, her voice breaking. "That fucking bitch kept punching her and shit, knowing she was out cold. When the police arrived they tried to run but they caught them thank God. That's who you saw when you came up here." She finishes. I can see the tears pouring down her face.
"When I saw you look at her on the stretcher Chico, I felt my heart break for you. Then you literally just fell on the ground."
I lean back in my seat, and we were all silent for the rest of the ride there.
God let her be okay.

I walk around my old room, reminiscing about everything that's in here. I'm still wondering how I got here. Am I dead?
"Let's go Rosalinda! You're gonna be late!" My mom yells from downstairs.
The younger me runs right threw me, like literally right threw me and heads downstairs. I walk to the banister and watch as my mom takes me to the bus stop. I look around the small apartment and smile. I had good times here.
I walk down the stairs and see Aunt Gisel with a young, buck tooth having Traci, and Gisel is whispering something into her ear. She sends her off to the bus stop and walks to the kitchen. I follow her and even though I figured out that she won't notice me I was still tiptoeing around her. I see her write something down on a piece of paper and stick it in her pocket.
"Ay stupid let's go!" My mom yells.
Aunt Gisel rolls her eyes. "I can't wait for this day to be over." She mutters, grabs her purse and heads out the door, leaving me alone.
As I watch them get into the old station wagon, I start feeling a sharp pain in the back of my head.
"Ah!" I scream out, falling onto the floor. Everything is fading away, my body feeling numb, and on fire at the same time.
"She's slipping!" I hear someone yell.
Slipping? What's going on?
"Do it! Do it now!" The voice yells.
I feel another sharp pain, this time on the right side of my body, then everything seems to calm down, the voices going further and further away.
Until I heard complete silence.
••••••••••••••••*Michael*
"Dalma! Calm down please! You don't want to be detained again tonight just sit here with me." I whisper to Dalma as she paces in the hospital waiting room. We've been here for almost three hours and nobody will tell us what's going on with Rose.
"I can't Chico! I can't stop worrying about her. That's my baby. God knows what's happening with her right now!" Dalma cries, trembling. I walk up to her and pull her into a hug.
"Why would they do that? I was going to tell her when she wanted to know. Why would they show up and fuck everything up! All they want is her money I swear." She sobs into my shoulder.
"Tell her what?" I ask, curious.
She wipes her tears, "It doesn't matter anymore. I just want my baby to be better."
I didn't know what to say so I just let her cry it all out. Eventually she calmed down enough to rest on one of the couches in the waiting room. I laid a blanket on top of her and walked out towards Roses hospital room. I leaned against the door, hesitant to go in.
"Mr. Jackson?" The doctor tapped me on the shoulder.
I turned around. "Yes? Did you find out anything yet?"
The doctor looked sympathetic as he looked down at his clipboard, then back up to me. "I know I shouldn't be saying this to you since you aren't her spouse or parent, but I didn't want to break the news to her mother since she'll cause a disturbance."
"Just tell me Doctor please. I'll pass word to her mother as soon as she wakes up."
The doctor motions for me to follow him to a private waiting room, and slips on his glasses.
"Luckily we caught her before she fully slipped into a coma, but we have to keep a watchful eye on Rose. Even though we were able to get her conscious for the moment, there is a possibility that she can fall back under."
My heart was beating so hard I couldn't even hear myself speak.
"Now I don't know if you still want to break the news to her mother or not, that's your decision, but she has to know soon." The doctor says, putting his glasses away and walking towards the door.
"I-I'll tell her. I promise."
The doctor nods his head and walks out the door. I walk to Roses room again and notice there's a nurse in there.
"Oh! You scared me Mr. Jackson." The nurse says, clutching her chest.
"I'm sorry, forgive me. Is it okay to be in here?"
"Oh sure honey, I was just checking her monitor that's all. She's all yours sugar." She smiles, and walks out the room. "Hey Mr. Jackson?"
"Hmm?" I turn around.
She smiles softly, the first genuine smile I've seen today. "She's gonna pull through. She's a fighter I can tell. You don't have to worry so much sugar. When we were trying to get her from slipping she was mumbling random words, but she just kept saying three words. 'Keep the Faith.' Yeah, I think that's it. Anyways, let me go now. She'll be fine. I promise." And like that, she's out the door.
I smile at Rose, who's laying on the bed, and I grab her hand. "Keep the Faith baby. You got this. You're strong. You can do anything. Don't let this falter anything. You can do it. Just believe baby, just believe." I kept saying the same thing while kissing her hand until the sun started to rise.
I didn't get a wink of sleep. I just wanted to make sure that nothing happened to her. I start hearing faint chatter outside the windows, and I walk towards the window, grabbing a blanket and putting it over my face. I look outside and see news crews and reporters everywhere. I also see fans gathered around the hospital entrance, some of them brought flowers for her, others had signs with her name and picture on it.
I grin at the sight and walk back to the bed, sitting at the edge. I stroke her face, praying that she wakes up.
"Baby, I don't know if you can hear me, but I just want to talk to you. You drive me crazy you know that right?" I chuckle to myself. "I came all the way from L.A just to make sure you were alright. I'm so glad I came. I can't bear the thought of losing you so soon. I just want you to wake up. I wanna hear you cuss me out again and threaten to rip my balls off because I did something stupid." I laugh, and lean in to kiss her cheek.
"You're my everything Rosie. Don't leave me. Wake up."
••••••••••*Rose*
'You're my everything Rosie. Don't leave me. Wake up.'
I start hearing voices again, and slight pain. I still don't know what's going on with me, but I don't like it.
Last thing I remember is my aunt trying to argue with me over something, the next thing I knew I was back in 1972, as if I was having a mini flashback. Now I don't know where I am. Is it 1988? Or 1972?
I hear beeping, and it's getting faster and faster.
'Baby? Oh my God... Dalma! Come quick! Grab the doctor Bill! Hurry!'
I see a dim light forming in my vision, and I'm too scared to go towards it. What if it leads to somewhere I don't want to go to?
'What's going on?'
'She's slipping again! Rose if you can hear me, do NOT leave us, stay awake sweetie, honey, talk to her, maybe she'll listen to your voice.'
'Rosie. It's me, Michael. Listen to me love, I need you to stay awake alright? For me. For your mother, for your fans. We love you Rose, don't leave.'
I hear the sweet voice and listen to it, and suddenly the dim light got brighter, almost white hot.
"Oh thank you so much God!" I hear someone say, while crying. "She made it, my mija made it. You did it Chico!"
I open my eyes, and I see that there's three nurses and a doctor around me, all of them showing sighs of relief, and I turn my head slightly and notice Michael, who just couldn't stop grinning.
"Welcome back Rosie."
------------
I know it's not my best chapter and it's short but I wanted to get something out here for y'all. I've been having a tough week so I'm sorry if it's not the greatest, but trust me I'll have an amazing chapter coming up soon :)
