"𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒔 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒍𝒍." Kiyotaka pushed his glasses up his nose, signalling to the mall behind them. "This curse is a semi grade two, personally I believe it to be a bit much for you first years but I'm told you each have promising potential, therefore I was instructed to not be too concerned. With that being said, if there are any casualties which may prove to be too challenging or put any of you at risk, come back immediately and I will inform a professional to handle the curse."

"Anything else we should know?" Megumi raises an eyebrow.

"There's not much information on the curse other then it can take shape as a human... However, there's always a disfiguration in it's disguise. For example, an extra finger or an eye instead of a nose and vice versa. So be alert, don't let your guard down for even a second."

Kugisaki makes a 'blegh' sound, uncomfortable at the thought of having an eye for a nose, or nose for an eye and Megumi rolls his eyes at her dramatics. The four students walk into the mall, immediately scanning everyone who passes by.

"there's only two floors but the mall is quite big, so let's split up, Kugisaki, you go with Itadori, L/N, you're with me." Both Itaori and Kugisaki's jaws drop.

"I'm stuck with him?" "I'm stuck with her?" They shout in unison, some people passing by stare at them, wondering if a fight is going to break out.

"What's so wrong being stuck with me, you should be grateful!" Kugisaki flips her hair with her hand, crossing her arms.

"Why would I be grateful? You're so annoying you complain about everything!! Besides, what's wrong with being partnered up with me!?!" he claps back.

"Don't even get me started. Firstly, you smell funny, you never stop talking, you-"

"I DON'T SMELL FUNNY!" he shouts "Y/N do I smell?" they both turn to you and you sigh looking down, not wanting to get involved.

"Would you two quit it, Fine, Itadori, you're with L/N. Kugisaki, let's go." Megumi huffs and you split off.

"We'll take the top floor, call me if anything goes wrong." You wave your phone to Megumi, who nods.

"Yeah, you too."

Yuji and Y/N walk side-by-side, their shoulders occasionally bumping together as they examine the faces of everyone who walks past them, checking for an extra pair of eyes, noses, anything supernatural.

"I wonder what this curse will look like." Y/N looks at Yuji, who seems lost in thought.

"Maybe it'll have an arm sticking out of it's head. OO! Or 100 eyes." Yuji wiggles his fingers in front of his face, getting closer towards you and you giggle, lightly pushing him away and he laughs in response.

You look forward once again, your smile completely wiping off your face and suddenly you feel your heart drop to your stomach, feeling unsettled. "No.. It can't be." You murmur under your breath, turning to see the familiar face of the passer-by, the face of someone you thought you'd never see again.

"Hey, Y/N, are you alright?" Yuji puts his hand on your shoulder and you turn to look at him, before whipping your head back around, the person you thought you saw, disappearing into the blend of the crowd.

"Uh yeah sorry, I thought I recognised someone." Y/N forces a smile, continuing to walk again, her face stuck on your mind. Yuji hums, not fully convinced you're okay, but doesn't want to push you, he watches you walk away, before jogging up to join you by your side again.

You and Yuji walk into a janitors closet, he lodges a broom into the gap of the handle, to prevent anyone from entering. Y/N opens the mini bag attached to her belt, carefully lifting her orb out of it and sitting down with her legs crossed as Yuji sits opposite her, leaning against the door.

"This is going to be hard considering I have nothing that belongs to this curse or any idea of what it looks like." Y/N places her hands on the orb closing her eyes tightly.

"𝒞𝓁𝒶𝒾𝓇𝓋𝑜𝓎𝒶𝓃𝒸𝑒: 𝐸𝓋𝑒𝓇-𝓈𝑒𝑒𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝑒𝓎𝑒𝓈."

"I don't actually need my orb to do this, but it makes it a lot easier for me as I get side effects such as migraines if i use my eyes alone." Y/N explains as Yuji nods. Slowly, an image forms in the glass orb, flickering as it struggles to maintain the picture of the curse.

The curse took the shape of an elderly woman, her white hair in a bun as her back hunched over as she held her cane while slowly wobbling.

"Looks like a normal person to me, you sure this is the curse?" Yuji observes, a finger on his chin as his eyebrows furrowed together, disappointed it doesn't have 100 eyes and an arm coming out of its head.

"yeah, look closer." Y/N points at the hand of the curse which grasped the walking stick, a face on it which had one eye way bigger than the other and a mouth with shark-like teeth.

"Where is it?"

"Near the ice-cream shop, on the bottom floor!" "I have to call Megumi." Y/N takes her phone out of her pocket, scrolling through her contacts before landing on 'Megummy'.

"pick up, pick up, pick up!"Y/N repeats, panicking the curse may change shape or they'll lose sight of it.

"Hello." A deep voice answers.

"Megumi! The curse is on the bottom floor with you, next to the ice cream shop with the neon ice cream cone sign in the window, it's an elderly woman, she has a face on her right hand." Y/N quickly spills out.

"Okay, got it, calm down." Megumi mutters, hanging up.

"I-... he just hung up on me." Y/Ns eyes were wide, her jaw nearly hitting the floor, while Yuji pats her on the back. "He's so damn mean."

The two of them got up to leave the janitors closet, Yuji leaving first. After putting her orb back in the bag, Y/N dusts her clothes off and exits the room, she looks up and the colour drains from her face, grabbing Yuji's sleeve to stop him from walking, the boy clearly not noticing what's happened.

"Yuji... where has everyone gone?"

"...EH!?!?"

All the shoppers had disappeared, there was no one, just Y/N and Yuji, possibly Megumi and Kugisaki downstairs alone with the curse. Everyone was gone.
