The note read..

"Dear Cody,

Gosh I don't know why I'm even writing this, peer pressure for the win I guess. I don't usually show emotion as I'm usually studying and arguing with people but it's just..you. Your light blue.. teal eyes? I get lost in them. Your just so cute especially your gapped toothed smile. This is so cheesy but I don't care, you don't know who I am - hopefully. I'll be writing you another letter soon :heart:

From, anonymous."

As I stared at the note I knew what I had to do. I slipped it into my backpack and ran out the door. School was only a 10 minute walk but took half the time due to him running at the speed of light. Who knew I could be so athletic?

I had to get there before most people. I arrived half an hour early creeping up to Cody's locker. I peered around nervously before shoving it into a small gap at the top of his locker.

I walked over to my own grabbing everything I need for today. I sighed as I saw gym class on my timetable. Great.. may as well get changed early I thought.

As I stepped into the changing rooms I instantly saw a familiar face I did not want to see. Duncan. I rolled my eyes as I walked past him. He laughed at me but didn't say anything, hopefully I scared him off with my sarcastic remarks yesterday.

I walked back into the gym and sat on the bleachers reading my book. Why did this stupid outfit I had to get changed in itch so much? It was never this bad.

I was sweating like crazy due to the thought of the note which was probably the reason for this.

I got even more red seeing a familiar chestnut hair'd boy walk into the gym obviously excited about something. I pondered for a moment before becoming completely embarrassed. He had read my note.

He sat down next to me and shoved the note into my lap. "LOOK LOOK LOOK NOAH! I TOLD YOU THE CODE-MEISTER COULD PULL!"

I laughed at his remark currently dying on the inside. I regretted writing that note.

CODY POV

I opened my locker fully expecting to get my books and run to gym but something caught my eye. A white envelope with his name written on shone in the darkness.

I picked it up fully expecting it to be some news letter as I read. I could instantly feel my cheeks glow red and I kept reading. They liked my smile?

I thought of the possibilities but couldn't think of anyone. I wish Noah had wrote it - wait no! Why was I thinking this? It was probably some love sick girl crushing on a gay dude. Wasn't it already obvious?

I shoved it in my pocket and ran to gym looking for Noah, I knew he would be early. I got changed and ran to the bleachers spotting the tanned boy sitting reading some novel. What a surprise.

I jumped up and down in excitement and showed him the envelope in which he got nervous? Maybe he just wanted a letter too! Typical Noah.

"I wonder who wrote this!" I blurted out as he read. He didn't really seem to be paying attention then sighed.

"Why are you running around like some love sick puppy? Probably someone teasing you." He remarked.

I got a bit upset by that but I knew he was just joking. I punched his arm and snatched the letter back. "Jealous much?" I smirked.

"I-I'm not jealous!" He stammered as he got back to reading his book.

"Sureee.. if you weren't jealous you wouldn't be stuttering." I concluded. He didn't write this letter I thought as tears swam to my eyes. I couldn't cry in front of Noah!

NOAH POV

I instantly recognised tears streaming to his eyes as I wondered why he was crying. "What's up Cody? You seem upset, I thought you would be ecstatic."

For some reason Cody was so pretty when he cried. Noah pushed this thought to the back of his mind, he needed to comfort his friend!

"Yeah but I don't know who it's from and I want to know.." Cody sighed. I felt really bad but I couldn't just tell him I wrote it!

"Oh yeah whoops I wrote it silly me." Would sound stupid!

I laughed at Cody's stupidity as he pulled me into a hug. I instantly went red at this gesture but it seemed he was just doing it in a platonic way. Why did I want this to be more than that?

CODY POV

I wrapped my arms around Noah's neck sobbing. I wanted to know who it was sure.. but it wasn't the one and only Noah! I wanted him. I could feel his heart beating against mine and I never wanted this to end.

Noah pulled away obviously looking uncomfortable. He was sweating like crazy!

"I just.. thought it would be someone else." I chuckled as he looked up at me.

"Who?" He inquisitively asked Cody as Cody instantly went red.

Cody stammered "I- uh why would I tell YOU?" He said laughing.

"I don't know maybe because I'm probably your best friend and only friend?" Noah jeered.

He wasn't wrong.

"Anyway class is starting soon and I want to finish this chapter." Noah said after a few seconds of uncomfortable silence. It felt like an eternity.

"O-oh yeah sure."

NOAH POV

Little did Cody know I was just ending the conversation due to the blush growing on my face. I instantly buried my head into my book before he could see. Luckily he didn't.

Someone else did.

Duncan strode into the room as students behind him were filing into the changing rooms.

"Noah why are you so red?" Duncan laughed at him. Cody looked at Noah confused and concerned.

Noah just wanted the ground to swallow him up.

"Why are you even asking Duncan? Your face will probably turn green soon due to the amount of hair dye you've used on that horrible hair-do. It will sink into your skin and slowly kill you.."

I was obviously joking but Cody looked scared and Duncan actually believed him.

"Whatever. I'll leave you and your little boyfriend to make out." Noah spluttered and rolled his eyes. Duncan could obviously spot Noah becoming more red by the moment. He felt like he was about to explode from embarrassment.

Duncan retreated back into the changing rooms earning a few scared looks from children walking by.

Cody and Noah were bright red at this point and didn't say anything to each other the whole lesson. Why did he have to be so dumb?

[Time skip]CODY POV

The bell rang for lunch as students filed out of classrooms and Cody strode into the cafeteria sitting down with Izzy and Owen.

He put his lunch tray down with a large clank as Owen looked up from his mountain of food. Typical Owen.

"Hey dude! Good to see you little buddy!"

Cody laughed.

"Izzy really likes your necklace your wearing its so cute!" Izzy remarked staring at it. Cody hid it embarrassed. "I-oh yeah thanks!"

"So guys.. any gossip?" Owen asked mischievously.

"Ooh ooh ooh! Me me me!" Izzy laughed. "I saw Eva and Duncan fight today! Eva obviously won. I think Duncan is in the hospital."

Cody's mind raced back to what happened with Duncan, him and Noah in the gym.

Owen was laughing at what Izzy had said before Cody brought out the note from his pocket.

"I don't know what to do.." he shyly asked. "I don't even know who it's from!"

Owen and Izzy gave each other a look but I didn't think they knew, right? Probably just happy for him if he was completely honest.

"I think you should wait for another note!" Owen suggested as Izzy clapped her hands excitedly. "Ooh yess! Show us when they do! I'm so invested now." Cody knew he could trust them but his mind kept wandering back to Noah.

As if by magic Noah spawned behind Owen, book in one hand and sandwich in the other as he sat down. He just rolled his eyes and didn't say anything. Cody blushed but he didn't think anyone could notice.

NOAH POV

Great, Cody was here. Now he was forced to talk about the letter he saw laid out across the table. Owen was snickering and Izzy was grinning from ear to ear. How could he keep this a secret? He could feel his cheeks flushed already!

"Hey Noah what do you think Cody should do?" Izzy asked as she smirked at Noah then looked back at Cody. "Me and Owen think he should wait for another one.." Izzy proceeded to kick Noah in the ankle. Which really hurt by the way!

"Oh I-uh probably." I stammered, I just gazed down at my book and Cody just looked more confused than before. Honestly it was kind of cute.

[Time skip]

Noah returned to his room and began to write yet another letter. This time he would try give hints. Maybe Cody would figure out? He knew Owen and Izzy wouldn't tell Cody but maybe if he made it more obvious he would realise. Noah was daydreaming until he got a text on his phone.

[Annoying Chestnut:] Hey Noah! What are you up to? :) I'm pretty bored and want to come roundddd!! Pleaseeeee!!

Noah sighed. He could almost picture Cody doing doing his cute little pout through the screen. He was almost finished with his letter but so wanted to see Cody.

[Bookworm📚✏️:] Sure I guess. We can play Nintendo if you want.

[Annoying Chestnut:] OMG !! YES YES YES IM COMING OVER NOW ( • 3 • )

Noah laughed at the cute face Cody had put before quickly returning to the letter. He had to write this and fast.

"Dear Cody,

I heard your trying to find out who I am. Cute. I can give you a few hints but nothing more. I would be super embarrassed. Every time I see you my heart skips a beat. I almost forget I'm not supposed to feel this way.. I can't like a guy! But I do, and that's you. Your just too cute, your little dimples when you smile, your teal water coloured eyes and your warm heart are always the highlight of my day. Your also really cute when your upset, even if it's just an act it's still super heartwarming.

From, me."

I shoved it into an envelope as I heard a knock on my door. Eh- good enough. I left the envelope sitting on my desk as I raced downstairs to greet Cody.

"Hey dude! How are you?"

"Hey Noah! I'm super excited omg omg I love Nintendo!"

Cody was just too cute Noah thought.
