Bad end PT 2

Author POV

"As of 9:30am Police have discovered a body....."

Tenn tuned out the news while eating the breakfast Ryu had prepared for the three of them. They have a busy schedule today packed from morning to night.

"Gaku, have you heard anything from Nee-san yet?" He asked casually. Olivia had not contacted Tenn or anyone for about 1 week. Though that was normal for her especially if things were busy.

"Nope, though it looks like she's read my messages. Must be busy." He answered. He is bitter that Olivia hasn't messaged him. But he didn't want to seem annoying since she works as a highly sought after surgeon. Of course she would have weeks like this.

Crash!!!!

Tenn and Gaku jumped in surprise and turned to Ryu. Ryu had dropped the glass in his hand causing it to shatter in the sink.

"Oi Ryu! What the hell?!" Gaku said surprised.

"Mou.." Tenn walked over to check Ryu's hand sure enough it was bleeding. "Ryu, you need to be more careful. I'm going to get the med kit." Tenn said.

"T..Tenn...Gaku...." Ryu gulped pointing at the television. Gaku and Tenn looked at one another furrowing their eyebrows before turning to the TV. Something they wished they never did.

...That tattoo...

"The police have identified this woman to be the 26 year old Nanase Olivia. And as evidence suggested it was not a homocide rather a suicide. The woman appears to have taken her own life......." The TV continued to speak but all Tenn could hear in his ears was ringing.

Tenn POV

Nee-san...

Nee-san?...

It's a joke right...?

Suicide...that Nee-san...

No way....

"N....no..." I stumbled back hitting the counter I fell to the ground my eyes widened. "Tell me it's a lie..."

"Please....god.." I bit my lip my bangs shadowing my face tears fell through my eyes as I trembled like a leaf.

Riku POV

"What.....Nee-nee...why is Nee-nee on the screen." My face twitched smile faltering. Iori closed his eyes and tried to comfort Me.

"No...nonononono! Nee-san! She's not dead!!! Please Tell me it's a lie!!" I screamed hysterically falling to the floor my tears began flowing out of my eyes. Iori and the other Idolish 7 members tried calming me down not wanting to risk me having an attack. "Nee-nee!!! Nee-nee!"

Gaku POV

"T..Tenn..." I couldn't comprehend what was going on. On the TV screen a body...one I knew well. The tattoos..and hair was no doubt. My beloved girlfriend.

This had to be some kind of cruel joke.

"I'll tell you tomorrow." I remembered her words, she never told me in the end....was it about this?

I couldn't my heart was ripping into a thousand pieces, she can't be gone...she can't...

Author POV

Tenn and Riku saw each other a few hours later at the morgue. Their work was cancelled. When they saw each other they hugged.

Tenn's eyes were dull, but Riku still had tears coming out of his when he hugged Tenn. Trembling.

"Riku..."

"Tenn-nii...I prayed..it was a lie....but to think...Nee-nee...she's..."Riku choked and Tenn bit his lip hugging his little brother tightly.

"I know...I know...." Tenn clenched his teeth. He had to be strong..for Riku. He gave Riku a small smile and they interlocked hands. "Lets...go see her together....."

Riku nodded as they were led by a worker to where Olivia's body was being kept.

"I thought it was weird...nee-nee...seemed a little off the last time we saw her..and she said all that stuff..." Riku started.

"She knew...she was going to die...but as she always had...she hid it from us...to the end.....she was never going to..." Tenn clicked his tongue.

The two silently went through the process. They saw for their own two eyes...their previously cheerful and sarcastic sister. Laid on the metal table....cold...pale...and unmoving. They had no choice...but to accept this reality now.

Riku couldn't bear to look for long he broke down into loud tears and Tenn broke down into silent ones. The twins mourned the loss...of their older sister..someone who raised them...

She was gone...

After awhile they sat in the lobby where Chuuya approached the two.

"You're.." Tenn recognized him from the time Olivia got shot. Instinctively he put an arm in front of Riku.

"Relax, I'm not here to hurt you.....I went to Olivia's place earlier.....she left a few letters. These are for you two.....it might not sound like much coming from me. But your sister was one tough girl..she saved my ass countless times in the mafia and just know....to the end...she wanted nothing more but for you guys to be safe." Chuuya said. Tenn lowered his arm and they accepted the letters.

"Who...who made Nee-nee.." Riku growled. Chuuya sighed scratching his head.

"Don't bother...I promised her. And I intend to keep that promise even if I end up dead too. Just live your lives..brats." Chuuya said looking to the side.

"Were you close to our sister..you don't seem sad.." Tenn asked and chuuya looked at him dead in the eyes.

"I was, and I am sad. But...in our line of business it's kill or be killed. A best friend dying is an everyday occurrence. Something she made sure you two would never have to go through. Cry..thats what brats like you are privileged to do." Chuuya flicked his cap and left the morgue.

Tenn and Riku looked down at the envelopes with Olivia's writing on it....they silently sat down and opened the letters.

Riku....I'm sorry. I didn't want to leave you abruptly like this. By the time you see this letter I must of done the deed. As long as you keep taking the medication I gave you, your bronchitis will subside completely. This means you'll finally be cured!! I worked hard you know...first the surgery I wanted to perform had too many risks so I thought of a medication to alter your cells. Pretty cool right?

Right...that's probably not what you want to hear. You're probably wondering things like...why did I do it? Or am I really dead? I had Chuuya give you my letter when you see my dead body.

Yes Riku, I'm gone. But I didn't do it out of hating myself or depression...well that was part of it. It was my duty Riku...I'm not a perfect older sister. I took countless of other peoples lives to save my own or the people dear to me. But this guilt....and sin would never go away. I'm too far gone..to have a normal life, I lost that right. But you and Tenn did nothing wrong, so I didn't want your normal lives to vanish.

I was given an ultimatum, and I chose death. I made up my mind a long time ago. So don't blame yourself or be sad Riku. I love it when you smile more than anything. I'll always be by your side, and from now on spiritually. You have the power to change so many lives Riku, and you made me so motherfucking proud.

Get along with Tenn, you two have each other. Even without me you're not alone, value the family you have. Don't put them in danger like I did.

"Nee-nee....Nee-nee...." Riku curled up into a ball clenching the letter close to his chest he sobbed quietly. "This is too sudden.....you idiot.." Riku's voice cracked. She was just with them not too long ago...and now she was gone...

Well you never liked it when I called you that haha. Seeing you all grown up shocked me, more so how much you took after me. Literally...I didn't think you would end up looking and acting like me too haha.

But I've been in the concealment business far longer than you young man. Anyways...seeing that you're reading this letter. Chuuya must of given it to you after you saw my dead body. Don't hate the guy, he's doing me a bunch of favours after death.

Now..you must be wondering something like...why? Or why didn't I say anything like always?

If I did Tenn...I would hesitate. You and Riku have always been my biggest weakness. As for Gaku...take care of him for me. He was a bit of guilty pleasure I enjoyed if I wasn't well me...things might of been different. I did truly love him...but I have duties to fulfill.

As for why...you know. I've been apart of a dangerous world since I was young. I killed too many people to feel happiness without guilt Tenn. The begging...the cries of people I killed in cold blood or patients I failed to save. I owe a duty to them...I must atone. More over...I realized that I'm the one putting both you and Riku in danger...so I made a deal with the devil I guess.

I'm taking my own life in exchange for our family. Something we share right? Don't be stupid Tenn, don't look for revenge or anything. I'm leaving mom..dad and Riku to you. We're family and while I may not be there I'll always watch over you.

You make me so dang proud Tenn, and you're much more responsible than me. Keep singing..being an Idol and do what you love. I'm sorry I left without saying Goodbye...just Know I'm always thinking of you and Riku up until my final moments.

"You...idiot...why are you so selfish.." Tenn clenched his letter bangs shadowing his eyes as water droplets fell onto the paper. "In the end....we were always the ones getting protected..." He clenched his teeth seething. He needed to be strong..but for awhile..just let him mourn the loss of his sister...and mother figure.The one who showed concern for him, taught him new things and let him have a normal childhood instead of one with responsibilities. She cared for him and Riku equally and he could be honest...

Tenn didn't want to leave his fans for long, but he knew if he didn't address his emotions properly it would backfire on him.

Riku also was taking time off work to mourn for Olivia. He stayed in his room unable to do anything. Looking through old photos or listening to her songs.

Tenn invited Riku to Trigger's house allowing him to ensure Riku's health as the twins did their best to comfort one another.

Gaku went back to his mother's house for awhile...he also got a letter from Olivia.

Gaku...I have no idea what to write other than I'm sorry. If things could be different...If I was a normal girl maybe our future together may be possible.

I love you..more than anything in this world and this choice of mine is eating me inside out. I was about to tell you before doing the deed...but please understand. I couldn't...shoulder the guilt of happiness when I took so many lives that also had happiness. And when I see you...I can't help but ignore all the guilt.

Tenn and Riku..My family...they were all in danger because of me so I was given an ultimatum. Don't tell Tenn or Riku please. The Port Mafia agreed..to leave my family alone as long as I'm gone. Don't blame anyone love....because this was also my initial choice.

It's a shame....but I know you'll find someone a little less reckless as me. I'm sorry for leaving and I'm sorry for breaking your heart. Just know that what I felt for you was genuine. You made me feel like a normal girl, and you saw through all my facade like it was water. Spending time with you...and being your girlfriend was the best thing I've ever experienced and the first thing I actually did for myself.

Gaku said nothing upon receiving the letter. He couldn't process it..his heart felt like it was ripped right out of his chest. He could still see her smiling face and beautiful pink hair whenever he closed his eyes. He certainly needed time away and his father granted it to him. He lost...probably his first true love out of any girlfriend he had before. She was perfect...but because of that she knew what she had to do.

She was too perfect....and too devoted to both family and friends.

"...At least say goodbye...Idiot." He grumbled, it was no use acting tough tears fell out of his grey eyes not stopping.

"Tenn-nii......was it...our fault?" Riku asked leaning into Tenn's chest relaxing as he heard him breathing softly.

Tenn didn't know how to respond. Did he blame himself...of course he did...but Olivia told them to live...support one another. He looked around the messy room, it was Olivia's.

Wanting the comfort of their sister's presence Riku and Tenn decided to stay at her place for a few hours.

"No...Nee-san wouldn't want us blaming ourselves Riku...I'm sure...she did it out of her own will. You know what she always tells us..." Tenn trailed off and he and Riku spoke in unison.

"Don't regret it, your old enough to make your own decisions and get out of your own mess."

Tenn and Riku laughed lightly. Riku looked around the room his eyes were still swollen from crying and so was Tenn's. "Haha...Nee-nee sure did have a lot of photos of us...when did she even take this.." Riku asked pointing at a picture where it was the summer festival and they were talking to one another.

"I wonder....oh but she also has lots with Gaku....she really loved him. Even if he is the Yaotome Prince, I can't say I wasn't happy for her.." Tenn said looking higher on the picture bulletin where photos of Her and Gaku were and labelled.

Various quotes or small descriptions were scattered on the walls beside the pictures. Tenn's eyes saw a folder on the desk in curiosity he reached out and opened it in front of Riku.

"Huh..this is my medical file haha." Riku chuckled seeing his profile photo that Olivia had drawn bunny ears on.

Riku's fingers rubbed across the statements in awe. He smiled solemnly. "She really....took care of both of us huh..Tenn-nii."

"I agree...I never confided in mom or dad...but I always confided in Nee-san...I respected her and admired her. If I wasn't enamoured by the stage...I think I might of tried to be a doctor just like her." Tenn said smiling. He put Riku's file down on the table. Hugging Riku close the two sat silent in the room.

I miss her...

Is the only thought crossing both their minds.

After a month of mourning, things went back to normal with the media on the news of Olivia's death and the press. Tenn did not make any statements and neither did Riku. Their relation of being brothers became public much to both companies dismay, but the industry embraced and accepted the twins.

Though..much of the work when they got back was the boys purely acting. Slowly, Gaku..Tenn and Riku returned to normal. They didn't have anymore encounters with the underground thanks to Chuuya and the efforts of those Olivia left behind.

Trigger and Idolish7 soon grew to be globally famous as all their careers flourished greatly in the years to come. Tenn moved back in with Riku, the twins decided to start a fresh and began sharing an apartment together. While their close idol friends became aware that Tenn and Riku were closer than they said they were, the media will never discover that fact.

Every year though, The Nanase's would gather for family holidays and visiting Olivia's grave. Tenn and Riku would go to her grave on off days as well to give her updates on their own lives.
