~Nightmares~
19:33, 16 December 2022"Ni-chan?" His little brother called.
"Ni-chan?" He heard his little sister say.
"Ni-chan?"
"Ni-chan?"
"Ni-chan?"
The voices repeated eventually slurring together. He looked around and all he saw was darkness. Where was he? Suddenly a bright light shone in his eyes before completely engulfing him.
"Oni-chan?" She called.
He wanted to answer her. He wanted to comfort her into realizing that despite the fact he was on the floor covered in blood he would be okay. That's when he saw that he was in his teen body. The room faded away as he begged to hold her again but it was ultimately worthless.
He then found himself looking at a picture. His mother was on one side smiling brightly. His father was on the other with a calm joyous grin. Karan and Omei were on opposite sides of him. And he himself was in between them all. Then it disappeared.
Next off he was under a sakura tree being bathed in it's petals as a 3-year-old. He was sitting on a blanket with a sandwich in his hands. In front of him were his parents chatting and laughing. He soon found himself giggling along with them despite all that had happened since that day. And as it faded so did the remaining calm before the storm.
The first thing he saw was a glass flying straight for his head. Fear overwhelmed him as he felt it shatter and tears started to spill. Then he saw it. To his left, his younger siblings were on the floor completely passed out. In front of him was his father and his mother stood not far behind glaring at him as though he were the worst thing that could ever happen to a human being. He stood still waiting for what was to come next with his eyes closed tightly. He waited but nothing came.
He then opened his eyes to see he was on a blanket. Took a minute but he soon realized he was on a bed. Wondering what would happen next, he observed that he was in his teen body. Just then he felt the pain of something going in and out of him. That's when it hit him, he was being raped by his father. Tears ran down his face as he buried his head into the pillow hoping for it to stop. He heard his father yelling things at him, Not able to bring himself to fight he just tried to wait the storm out hoping his father was just bored and not mad.
The room changed and he found himself face to face with his siblings. His sisters neck was held together by thin strings that looked like they would snap at any moment. His brothers body was mushed together looking somewhat flat. "Why did you let this happen Ni-chan?" Omei, his sister, asked.
"Otouto? Imouto? Wha- How are you here? I thought-" He was cut off by a slap.
Karan had hit him. He was in shock. His brother had never hit him before.
"Why are you acting so happy after what you did." Karan said.
"M-my fault? Wha-what? Did I do something wrong?" He asked.
"'Did I do something wrong?' Of course you did useless." Karan answered
"It's your fault we're dead." Omei said angrily.
"How is it my fault?" He asked with his voice failing him.
"You should have helped us. You were at UA you could have asked for help and they would have given it to you. You could have told them but no you were too scared and because of you we died." Omei explained.
"Bu-but Karan committed-"
"Cause I was tired of waiting. You weren't fast enough and I was fed up." Karan answered cutting him off.
They mocked him and made fun of him on everything, calling him names he thought he deserved. He was on the floor knees to his chest crying as they circled him, tormenting him with their words, pressing just the right buttons to break him. And they did.
Aizawa shot up from bed in a panicked sweat. He looked around to see Hitoshi and Hizashi curled up together sleeping. A small smile flashed as he looked at the two. He then continued to take in his surroundings as he was trying to ground himself from the dream.
He decided walk through the dorms to get his mind off things. Slowly, Aizawa got up from his bed switching his shirt for a black oversized hoodie. He kept his navy blue shorts on as he went to get his shoes before walking out the room.
As he stepped outside he was greeted by the cold winter wind leading him to wonder if he should have put on something warmer as he walked towards the student's dorms. It was probably 2am and no one should be up at this hour. He decided to secure that fact as he took the elevators to the top floor and began to check the area.
He walked from door to door checking to see if there were any lights on. The first one he noticed was from Tsuyu Asui's room. It was purple so he considered ignoring it as it was probably a nightlight but quickly changed his mind. He knocked on the door and within seconds the frog girl opened it.
"Mr. Aizawa is every thing okay kero?" She asked opening the door wider in case he wanted to step in.
"Have you been up this whole time?" Shota questioned her instead of answering.
The girl silently closed the door and walked towards her bed not wanting to answer the question. Aizawa crouched in front of her as he patiently waited to see if she'd say something.
"Yeah." She whispered.
"Why?" He carefully asked making sure she didn't feel pressured.
"It's a long story."
"I'm here to listen." He said with a gentle, inviting voice.
"After the USJ incident I started having constant nightmares. At first I asked Midoriya for help and he always welcomed me. But I always felt like I was wasting his time. He always assured me that it was not the case but at some point I stopped going so he asked me if I was getting better or if I just felt bad. I know he saw right through me but I guess he didn't want to push. Since then he always brings me tea in the middle of the night unless he's not around. The thing is though I had trained myself to stop sleeping. I knew it wasn't the best solution but I didn't want to bother anyone."
Aizawa wrapped his arms around the child coaxing her into a hug. He gently held her for a moment before comforting her and suggesting a few methods to help her sleep. He turned down the brightness of the light before walking to Todoroki's room. He knocked on the door and received no answer.
The light's on so he has to be awake.
He knocked again but to no avail. He tried to open the door but it was locked. He reached into his hoodie's pocket and pulled out his keys. In seconds the door opened revealing Todoroki on the opposite side of the room having a panic attack.
Shit
Aizawa closed the door and slowly walked towards the shaking teen. He watched closely for any signs that the younger didn't want him to move but found none so continued walking at the same pace. He came in front of the teen and sat down.
"Todoroki?" He called.
The boy locked eyes with him to make the older aware that he was listening. Shoto was shaking and crying completely opposite to the way he was in class. He looked so unstable so fragile.
"Tell me three things you can see." Aizawa asked.
"Y-you, the li-light, and m-my be-d"
"Now tell me four that you can feel."
"Th-the wall, the fl-floor, m-my tears,-" Shoto realized there wasn't anything else so he flung himself into Aizawa's arms and finished."You."
"Well it was supposed to be the fan pointed directly at us but that works too." Shota said with a bit of amusement in his voice. "Now can you tell me one thing you can smell."
"The lavender candle Midoriya gave me four days ago."
"Now one thing you can taste?" Shota asked thinking this would be over soon.
"Eishiro Maraoji." Todoroki answered with tears running down his face.
"Isn't that one of the second years?"
"Third actually."
Aizawa froze when he understood what Todoroki had just said. But he was one of the strongest students surely he tried to defend himself right?
"Did he... rape you?" Shota hated that word so much. But even more he hated having to say it out loud especially in this situation.
A few more tears escaped the dual quirk user as the last of his courage vanished.
"Todoroki did he?" Shota asked once more trying to not reveal the fact he was desperately looking form a no.
"Ye-yes he did. P-please don't te-tell my fa-father."
"I won't tell him even if you don't but could you tell me why not?" Shota said trying to change the subject.
"He might say he doesn't want me to be gay even if it was forced. He'll probably punish me for letting that happen and force me to train more. I don't think I can handle anymore of this it's too much. His expectations are too high. It's as if he wanted me to be the number one as soon as I was born. I never even wanted to be a hero. I do now thanks to Midoriya but growing up I never did. It's thanks to Deku I even use my fire in combat and whenever I'd have panic attacks he'd help me calm down but I haven't been able to get a stable hold on him since last Friday." Shoto explained before bursting out into tears.
Aizawa held the boy running his hand through the two colored hair letting the child cry his heart out. Todoroki soon fell asleep in his arms as he put the kid on his bed, turned off the lights, then walked out the door heading to Yaoyorozu's room.
Once more the light was on so he knocked.
"It's open!" He heard from inside.
He opened the door then turned to close it. He looked to the desk to find the girl wih her computer open, books scattered across the table, a pen in hand and a mug which clearly had a coffee visit on the edge of the table.
"Mr. Aizawa?" she asked confused at why he would be here at this time.
"I thought I saw a light on. What you up to?" He asked her not in a comforting tone but more curious and friendly than any he had used around her though it didn't reach certain extremities.
"Just studying. Why?"
"You know if you make this a habit it'll destroy you. Trust me I'm talking from experience."
She frowned before getting up to pack her books.
"Why?" Shota asked still the same tone as earlier.
"Excuse me?" She said confused.
"Why are you working so hard? What pressuring you?" He asked.
She looked surprised for a minute before saying, "I don't really want to talk about it."
"That's okay. If you ever change your mind you know where to find me. But I'll be coming around more often during these hours. You're not the only one staying up too late for your own good." Aizawa explained.
"Okay." She said as she put the last of her stuff away."But what about you?"
"That is none of your concern." He said jokingly.
She laughed and said "Goodnight Sensei."
"Goodnight Yaoyorozu." He said before flipping the switch and heading to the fourth floor knowing Sero was probably passed out on whatever drugs he stole from Aizawa's stash.
Luckily all the students on that floor were asleep as he saw no lighting what so ever. The same for the third floor as he went down to the second. And of course as this is a Dadzawa fic with Izuku as the main character, (insert deeply annoyed voice) the problem child was awake.
Aizawa knocked on the door. He heard shuffling inside before a green head of hair appeared.
"Aizawa-sensei?! Did I do something illegal?" He asked
"Ignoring that, why are you up?" Aizawa said. But he couldn't say it was completely unexpected. This is the kid who made him come up with the nickname problem child for the first time in his 11 years of teaching.
"Reasons." Izuku plainly stated entering his room waiting for his teacher to follow.
"What reasons?" Aizawa asked as he closed the door behind him upon entering the room.
"Valid ones."
"No way! Valid ones." He said sarcastically as he sat on the teen's bed.
"Yeah could you believe it!" Izuku continued to play along as he sat on his laptop and continued to type.
"What you doing?" Aizawa asked hoping to pry something out the kid this way.
"Typing."
"What are you typing." Shota asked as he laid himself down on the bed.
"Diary."
"Can I read?"
"Maybe."
Aizawa was shock he didn't expect a yes. It wasn't a yes but he expected a straight no.
"Maybe?" He asked.
"I have to finish it first."
"You know I was joking right?" Aizawa asked checking if the boy was feeling forced.
"You know I'm just texting a friend right."
"You're impossible."Aizawa said as he gave up.
"You sound just like your son." Izuku joked.
"Which one." Two could play at this mind-messing game.
"Hitoshi Shinso." Izuku answered.
"Fine!" Shota groaned.
The room was silent for a while until Izuku sighed loudly. This attracted Aizawa's attention and he looked towards the boy. Izuku shut down the laptop and looked straight in Aizawa's eyes.
"I'll tell you if you tell me what you're doing here." Izuku said straight to the point.
"Wait that's it?!" Shota exclaimed.
"Yeah."
"Alright, I'll go first." Aizawa said as he realized what he would have to explain. He sat up before saying, "I... had a nightmare so I got up for a walk and ended up going through the dorms." He said trying to get it over with.
"Sorry." Izuku mumbled when he realized what he had practically forced his teacher to say while the man was clearly trying to make sure he was not uncomfortable.
"It's alright you didn't know." Aizawa tried to comfort him.
"No it's not."
"It is Izuku. You always forgive people so easily but never yourself. If I had done this you would have forgiven me so forgive yourself; please."
"Okay." Izuku paused and took a deep breath, "I actually had one too... It really scared me so I've been texting Kacchan and another friend of mine who knew about the situation. I was also doing some research on something I wanted to invest into."
"Come here." Aizawa opened his arms to invite the child in for a hug.
Izuku jumped into Aizawa's arms slowly letting himself cry quietly thinking too much noise would cause the man to leave him like his father did. Aizawa kept his arms around the boy holding him close, his hand found it's way into Deku's hair and caressed it.
"Are you okay with telling me what you saw?" Shota asked the boy.
Izuku violently shook his head.
"Hey, it's okay. I won't force you to say anything if you don't want to."
Izuku relaxed back into the hug as Aizawa comforted him. Aizawa wondered what the kid saw and he knew that problem child was thinking the same. Hoping all would be well and swearing to try his best to make sure it is he soon joined the sleeping child in dream land.
In the end Aizawa had promised to do everything he can for the kid. Cause in the end the only thing man is capable of is to try, no matter what they say they can or can't do.
