~Special Chapter~

Just a peek at what happened in Aizawa's point of view.
The training was complete and the class was dismissed. As Aizawa walked down the hall and entered the meeting room countless thoughts circled his mind. It wasn't unusual and normally he'd ignore them but this time he felt troubled.
"Konnichiwa." He greeted as he entered the room. Various sounds of 'hello', 'hi', and 'good afternoon' rang through his ears all slurred.
'I can't hear them clearly? How come? I remember eating this morning so what could it be? Oh yeah. I haven't slept in some time now and have been working for the majority of that period. I guess I'm tired then. Coffee it is.'
Aizawa had considered drinking some of the poison people called tea. Hoping Nezu would get off him for a while if took it and survived but he needed coffee more than his life. He felt his head begin to ache as he got himself a cup and hurried to his seat as soon as he was done. It felt as though a second longer he would have fallen over.
With the fact that Shigaraki had yet to attack in what felt like too long he had been overfilling with stress and anxiety. Sadly some of that had spilled and he put pressure upon his students. Yeah all the others were doing it too but he pushed them so far that they stopped most of their afternoon activities and replaced it with extra work. No doubt about it his kids had been scared with the situation and after school was out at 3 they'd do homework till 5. That much was normal but even after their bodies had been stretched numb they'd still train until 6 putting their all into moves that their bodies weren't able to handle. They'd collapse into bed by 6:15 if they could they'd last until 20 talking. But most of it was about school work.
Aizawa felt horrid but had no idea how to tell them so just kept pressuring them not knowing what else to do. It scared him that they'd end up like himself. Dedicating his time to work and on weekends his family. But still refusing to rest during any that time. He was worried they'd let themselves fall down to his level or worse. If Midoriya wasn't the only one suffering he might just be causing them more pain and hurt.
He'd also been pretty stressed over Midoriya and even Mic had been drained for a while. Shinso spent all the time he could with the kid and clearly the two had a bond. But both of them had been hurt and if Aizawa had been quicker then they wouldn't have suffered as much. He felt like it was his fault. NO. Midoriya wouldn't be happy if he heard that! He wouldn't want Shota to blame himself. But still if only he had noticed sooner. If only he paid more attention. If only-
"SHOTA AIZAWA!" Vlad yelled and Aizawa visibly flinched.
He looked towards the lock hanging on the wall in front of him. Only ten minutes had passed yet he felt like he'd been trapped in his mind for at least thirty.
"Aizawa you invite a kid to the meeting room and you don't even give your reasoning but simply ignore the conversation as if you were somewhere else? ARE YOU FUCKING INSANE! WHAT IF HIS MOTHER HAD CONNECTIONS TO THE L.O.V. AND THAT WAS THE REASON FOR THE VIOLENCE? WHY WOULD YOU JUST LET HIM IN TO PRIVATE MEETINGS JUST FOR THE FACT- YOU CAN'T EVEN GIVE AN ANSWER TO WHY!"
Aizawa felt his thoughts begin to swirl and voices who weren't his continued their campaign to destroy him from the inside.
Vlad might be right you know
His mother could have been apart of the L.O.V.
Why are you always so careless
You can't even protect your students
Why were they attacked so often
Because the League had information which could have been forced out of them
If it's so had for you to take care of a few kids you might as well-
"Now Vlad don't be so rash. First off Aizawa had asked Izuku for a report only and once he told me that I had him invite Izuku here. Second Aizawa and Mic have been aware of the situation for a while and have had Izuku under their care. Lastly Shota seems a bit unresponsive and he flinched so he obviously didn't hear anything that happened."
Nezu had stepped in after realizing Shota didn't respond. Luckily it also had the effect of bringing the man back to reality.
"Are you alright Aizawa? You seem very out of it today?" Nezu asked clearly concerned of his staff's well being.
"Yes I'm alright." Shota answered briefly.
They then heard a knock on the door and Vlad got up to open it. Aizawa could feel the man glaring to his students and unleashed one of his own. Meanwhile the vampire could feel the eyes pierce him from behind like a thousand knives and submitted to the stare.
He lead the two to their seats not without a thanks from Izuku. He then sat back at his own spot still carrying his opinion close to heart.
"Izuku I hear from Aizawa that you have analyzed the previous lesson on ground beta." Nezu stated completely ignoring Vlad's earlier protest as if it had been nothing but a grain of sand on the beach.
"Yes I have made my analysis on everyone's quirk and how they utilize them as well as how they could improve their usage on them for the maximum output which is required as villain activity has been rising constantly ever since the fall of our symbol. Bakugo has helped me in surveillance and I have used this information to write these abridged and improved versions compared to our last battle."
The teachers' curiosity all perked up and while Vlad still stood his ground he was interested in what this kid had to say. Izuku took out two envelopes one marked 1A the other 1B. He took the one marked 1B and opened it.
"I also ranked them not on performance but simply utility in combat and raw power."
As he said that Izuku pulled out a flash drive and Katsuki handed Izuku's laptop to him. Aizawa got a cable and connected the projector to the device. He then went to tap off the lights as the document appeared before them and Izuku read aloud.
...
"That's all for the report on 1B." Izuku stated having finished his ongoing paper. "Would it be of trouble if I had a drink. My throat is a bit sore from this."
"Of course." Aizawa said as he pointed to a water cooler in the room "Feel free to get some coffee as well. You seem tired."
Izuku nodded and went to get his drinks as the teachers stared in awe. Despite knowing that Izuku had an amazing talent for analyzing it still caught him off guard that this was an abridged version. Bakugo noticed this and said. "Izuku's always been good at analysis ever since he was 6. You should see his hero analysis note books. If a villain were to ever find them society would crumble into their hands."
Now that was scary.
Katsuki let out a chuckle and said "He really is a nerd."
Izuku walked back towards the teachers with a half-drank cup of coffee. The most surprising thing is that it was scolding hot and looks alone could tell that. But they didn't comment on it.
Aizawa knew what was happening though.
Izuku was hurting himself it was clear. Self-harm isn't just cutting and here he was demonstrating it. But why would he hurt himself again? Isn't it painful?
Damn that was a stupid question for someone who's been doing this the majority of his life.
Yeah but I feel worried about him. It scares me when he's in trouble. Even though I know he can handle himself I still worry. God I sound like an overprotective brother! Aizawa thought to himself.
Maybe cause you are a brother. The voice responded.
Shota immediately pushed the thoughts to the back of his head and payed attention to the words being said.
"Well before we start on class 1A I want to let you all know though I did the analysis Kacchan was the one who ordered them as I needed extra time to question the other class on a few things. Though I have an Idea of some of the rankings." Izuku had a displeased look near the end which was a clear indication of Mineta.
The teachers were clearly surprised not only had they worked together without fighting when it was asked but this as well. That doesn't seem like something Katsuki would do.
"Let's begin" He said as he switched the flash drives.
...
"Though you do have a point on my quirk being powerful I wouldn't say I'm the best of the class Kacchan. I think you or Todoroki-san would be better suited for it." Izuku said not really putting into consideration he was in front of most of the UA staff.
"Come one nerd I'm pretty sure everyone here has realized who's successor you are though the black-whip might have set it off and air-force is just you're cultivation of the original quirk he used." Katsuki said plainly.
"But Kacchan we're not supposed to tell anyone! Me saying it in front of the class was bad enough, now you're trying to tell them who gave me the quirk! Are you trying to get me kidnapped?"Izuku said to the blond.
Bakugo was about to respond then he changed his mind and kept quiet. Izuku was confused for a moment as well but soon realized what Katsuki meant. Not that he mind but he was lowering his self-worth right before the teachers and they would surely have something to say about it.
Aizawa was praying they wouldn't speak of it. He soon noticed the others were awaiting Nezu's response. He gave Nezu a quick 'don't say it' glance before leaving it to solve itself.
Surprisingly enough for the boys the argument was ignored as Nezu asked Midoriya "What are your opinions on the grades that should be issued."
"Well I noticed how most of them were paired up against compatible quirks. After watching the battle I have researched certain strategies and here are the grades that should be given based on improvement and usage in combat as well as the reasons behind them." Izuku began to explain with Katsuki adding a statement from time to time.
The staff took notes and so did Bakugo per request of Midoriya. After 2 hours all grades had been issued and the two boys were offered their favorite foods for lunch for the rest of the week but both turned it down.
They were going to discuss the next lesson and the teens admitted the had been working ahead. Midnight then told them that they were gonna be given the option to work in duos.
Aizawa had paid close attention to the two and felt some kind of tension between them. Not the bad type tho. He thought the best way to help the two would be to push them together. It felt as if it were not only the best option but the only one. Finally having made a decision he offered the two to work together and they immediately burst out into laughter.
"But you two seem to work well together both of you have been here without randomly picking fights like Bakugo does with all the students and he's only yelled at you once! On top of that you're quirks seem to work well together." Aizawa exclaimed and the boys couldn't stop their laughs.
Maybe he was wrong but it can't be the sensation is too strong. It's surprising that he never noticed it as something like this couldn't possibly spring up overnight!
"Aizawa-san is right! I knew you two were close but you seem to be better than I had imagined!" All might said enthusiastically despite his skinny form.
It relieved him to know he wasn't the only one who noticed something going on between the two. Yet it was so unbelievable that these two students out of the entire class would have the strongest bond! One being a social butterfly who's real side was hidden behind thick walls of emotion and the other an impulsive bully.
One was kind the other rude.
One was shy the other willing to trample whatever comes his way.
What could have possibly brought them together that they seem to be so close and protective of one another?
"Despite knowing you two had been friends for a while I thought you looked more like the other students minus the nickname." Nezu admitted.
See I have to be right! He thought.
The boys' laughter calmed and they both said in union "What took you so long?"
Everyone looked to the boys with pure confusion. The two had to try their best to not burst into laughter again.
"I thought it would be obvious to you but turns out I was gravely mistaken!" Izuku said with his usual sweet tone.
"Honestly we gave them too much credit. If they couldn't even figure out the way we synchronize our attacks then what do they even know?" Kat said.
The teachers didn't understand what was going on. Weren't these kids always fighting? How could they stay on good terms for long enough to achieve such a level of cooperation? It seems impossible. The fact that they were friends all their lives and had seen each other work their quirks wouldn't be enough. Especially since Izuku said he got his quirk just recently.
I know it sounds hypocritical with all I just said but how do they manage to stay on good terms for long enough? Aizawa thought then realized he had been talking to himself the whole time and himself already understood
~{ We all need a reminder sometimes}~
"Well you can't blame them. No one really knew about it except Aunty. Anyhow Kacchan and I have been working together for a bit over a year. About 3 months before I got my quirk which was 1 year ago." Izuku stated.
Who's Aunty?
"Also we've been training together for that time. We learned to combat together and alone. It was quite easy with Deku knowing my quirk's strength and weaknesses then putting together both of ours for maximum output." Katsuki was still fighting his laughs. NO WONDER DEKU NEVER GETS CAUGHT!
With Izuku's knowledge and quick adaptation to new pieces of information also being able to gather them himself at an accumulating rate which is currently mind-blowing these two could be an unbeatable duo. If Todoroki were to join who knows how strong they'd be especially after doing their work studies together. Shota shivered at the thought of it and it drew his mind back to... older times.
It took them a moment to pull everything together then looked to the kids in confusion. Really? How dumb can heroes get?
"So in the end are both of you gonna do it?" Shota wanted to know that right now more than anything as it was the first step towards finding out what was going on between the two.
"HELL YEAH!" They both said in union.
"I'm still not used to hearing Midoriya curse." Ectoplasm said trying to understand why Izuku is using such words.
The boys let out a little laugh and Aizawa remembered something important. "Oh yeah Shinso is joining us tomorrow and Mineta is being kicked out."
The boys looked dead for a second then smiled as if they were toddlers had just been told that they would have infinite candy for Christmas. They looked so happy then Izuku began to cry "Thank you." He said honestly.
"I told you Mineta was a pervert to both sides." Mic said boldly.
"Nerd I get it that you're happy but crying don't you think that's a little far" Kat looked to his friend and Izuku smiled wider than ever recorded in history. And that says a lot.
The students and teachers continued to discuss the approach that will be taken to have the duos and how they would put the work studies to become extra training. Each homeroom teacher had to prepare an email with suggestions of how to make it work if students had different work studies to their partner.
Seriously more work?! I just barley pulled through a mental breakdown because of this shit! Aizawa was visibly annoyed.
It was easier for Izuku and Katsuki as both were currently working in the Endeavor agency. They also agreed that on Saturday the boys would give a demonstration on how they work together. The teachers said they'd be sparring against Aizawa and Mic which obviously was not planned based on the two adult's reactions.
Nezu I'll kill you. You're putting me up against him! Is this some sort of test over my emotions or something? CRUEL BASTARD. Shota's frustration was growing with every minute.
They had completely finished the meeting and sent the kids to their dorms. The kids left the room and Aizawa asked to talk with Nezu and Mic.
The three made their way to the principal's office two wondering what the other had to say and that other trying to figure out for himself.
They took a bit to arrive cause it sure was a big school and there was no question to that. They then walked into the room and Nezu sat facing the married couple.
"What is it that you wanted to talk about Aizawa?" Nezu asked
It was currently 5:30 and Aizawa had sent the students straight to the dorms as all the staff would be to busy to watch them during their extra training.
"What are my students doing now?" He asked.
Nezu opened his laptop and entered the security system. He went to 1A's dorm camera and turned the laptop to face all of them as soon as he found the students.
"Now Aizawa what is going on?" Nezu made it sound more like a stern statement then an interrogative sentence.
Aizawa then began to explain.
"With the fact Shigaraki hasn't attacked yet we've all been preparing the students for battle. Yet I think I might have gone too far. Up until 3 weeks ago all the students or at least most of them would stay up between 11pm - 1am. Yet now I've been applying so much pressure on them that they stay till 5 doing homework and that much was normal but they'd then go straight back to training on their own will working on all those thing their bodies can't and aren't expected to be able to do. Like Kaminari trying withstand large amounts of electricity or Momo trying to surpass using the lipids in her body. They do that for an hour and head back. There's always one of them staying back to cook so when they get back there they eat and then talk about work then they go to sleep. Some of them can muster a 5- 10 minutes convo but afterwards go straight to bed. They can't even relax on the weekends cause of the work studies. And now they wont even stay up past 6:30. I'm worried I over did it but I'm not sure how to fix the situation. All through out the year they've been doing third year work with first year knowledge/training and pro-level spirits but I think I crossed the line."
He finished and a look of guilt was clear on him. Nezu processed the situation and decided.
"I understand what you mean and it's been about a month now so you can switch back as they've clearly improved but what you'll tell them is entirely up to you." Nezu said.
Aizawa nodded but before he could say that he was going to leave they heard a sound from the computer. The door to the dorms had just flown open. They looked at the screen trying to gather information before making a move.
They then saw Izuku and Katsuki jump into the room.
They landed at precisely the same second. Smirks on both their faces as they looked at each other.
"I'LL BEAT YOU NEXT TIME NERD" They heard Katsuki yell with a grin plastered on his face.
"Don't get your hopes up." Was all Izuku said while walked over to close the door which was not even to the slightest bit damaged.
Their curiosity perked up and they continued to watch.
"What was that?" a voice belonging to a grape asked.
"Kacchan and I were racing!" Izuku said enthusiastically.
"You join Aizawa watching the class fight, disappear together saying the teachers wanted to talk, hit the door without even making a crack, then come in here looking like y'all are ready to take on All for One, NOW YOU'RE TELLING US THAT YOU'RE JUST RACING!" Mineta yelled.
"I agree with Mineta here. This seems quite cheesy." Aoyama entered.
"Besides Bakugou knows he's the best. He wouldn't race with you!" Kaminari said having a brain-cell for once also being completely idiotic.
"They've grown physically and mentally but some things never change." Aizawa said aloud unintentionally and the other two laughed at the statement.
"Could it be that the so high on a pedestal Katsuki Bakugo has finally acknowledged that he may not be the best after all!" Monoma beamed.
Was earlier not enough for him? They all thought.
But what they all knew for sure was quite simple.
Izuku looked ready to murder anyone in his way.
Monoma crossed the damn line with the last fucking straw.
And he was in Izuku's way.
"Monoma." Izuku said with a sinister voice that would make Shigaraki think twice.
The audio was enough to make the teachers shiver.
"Monoma." He began to raise his tone.
"Monoma." His volume increased each time he repeated the name to find that the boy did not answer.
"Neito Monoma." As the words left his mouth so did the last of his patience.
They all knew something bad was gonna happen but it would serve Monoma good and no one went against it.
"NEITO. FUCKING. MONOMA." Wrath lined his words as he called the name.
"Say Monoma why don't you answer me? Are you scared? I am a fellow hero course student. Why should you fear me? Is it because you know? " Izuku walked up to him and whispered close to his ears yet loud enough to be heard by the rest."You know what you did was wrong."
Izuku punched Monoma causing the boy to fall flat on his back.
Now that's gonna hurt.
"You know. Back then you were talking about me right?" He crouched in front of the other boy. "Did you know I prioritize my friends over myself?" As he said it he threw Monoma towards the wall.
The adults couldn't even decide whether or not to interfere as they watched their kindest student attack another in defense of his best friend.
"Did you know I prioritize Katsuki over all my friends?" He grabbed Neito by the neck and began to choke him.
"Answer me." He demanded
"Did. you. know. I. prioritize. Katsuki. over. all. my. friends."
They knew Izuku wasn't talking to them, hell he wasn't even in the same room. But the pressure felt as though the words were directed to them.
"N-no." Monoma struggled to say.
"Well then let me tell you. Our friendship is more dear to me then my own life so if you try to assault it or him then I wont hesitate to take yours. And let today be a constant reminder of that." Izuku's voice was threatening and his eyes pierced through Monoma's soul.
He clearly was not joking as his death grip was still on Monoma causing the boy to cough. He only then released him and walked back over to the rest of the class leaving Neito to fight for his breath.
"I see you all are catching up after our battle just like last time! Kacchan and I have work to do assigned from the staff. But will we were in there they asked me to give them analysis I did on your work. They all said how they were impressed with our work and how our generation will certainly be more powerful then theirs. Keep working hard everyone!" He told the before being dragged away by Katsuki with a scowling face.
The adults stared to the screen with absolute fear. It was coursing through their veins and it seemed to be supporting their entire being.
Izuku Midoriya was terrifying.
As they regained their composure Mic gave a 'what are we gonna do about this' look while clearly scared.
"This is between Izuku and Monoma. I'm not getting involved. Thank you Nezu for helping me out I'll see you at tomorrow's meeting. Mic lets go." Aizawa said before dragging Mic to the dorm similarly to how Katsuki was currently dragging Izuku.
The teacher's dorm was also closer to the school then the students'. Aizawa was basically running and if anyone saw it they'd think he was running from a bear.
Meanwhile poor Mic was being dragged along like spare luggage wondering how his husband was even capable of such speed. Aizawa should start racing cars for extra money. Who knows they might even be able to buy a helicopter from it so Mic could fly around screaming at the top of his lungs without Sho complaining.
They arrive to the dorms in 2 minutes while it's normally an 8 minute walk. They quickly passed the other staff who were arguing on who had the best first year male student. Obviously it was Aizawa but a certain vampire was against it. Like Todoroki, Bakugo, and Midoriya beat the rest of them any day. But there were a few students who couldn't say the same.
They quickly rushed up into their room and Aizawa threw Mic in before locking the door.
{Poor Mic}
Mic got up and made his way to the bed laying down with one leg crossed above the other. Shota on the other hand went to his computer and began to work while his husband scrolled through Insta.
"Don't you have work?" Aizawa asked after a couple minutes.
"Well unlike you I know when to rest." Hizashi said sounding a bit disappointing.
Shota said nothing and continued to type for a brief moment. Then he stopped causing Mic to look towards him upon noticing the sound of the keyboard clacking had ceased. Aizawa banged his head onto the table.
"SHO!" Mic yelled at the insomniac. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!"
Aizawa looked up and Hizashi noticed the blood sprinkling down his forehead. Immediately, he went into the bathroom bringing out a soaked cloth. He then knelt in front of Shota then began to clean the wound soon applying pressure.
He went back to the bathroom and easily cleaned off the blood as it was fresh. As soon as the task had been completed he returned to the room with a serious expression. He moved the pillow to the opposite end of the bed before sitting and leaning on the wall behind him.
"Okay Aizawa. You completely spaced out during the meeting earlier. Then there's our conversation with Nezu. You dragged me here as if you were being chased by a demon lord. And now you injure your head. Not to mention the way you've been working a lot more recently. You always look like you're about to pass out. What's wrong Sho?" Mic's voice was stren the whole time but sincere at the end.
There were a few things Shota couldn't understand how he figured them out but those didn't seem important. What really shocked him was the fact Mic called him by his last name. He was used to 'Shota' or 'Sho' but this was unusual.
"What's wrong?" Mic repeated.
"I- I- it's- well I..." He couldn't seem to describe what had been going on in him.
Mic had seen this a few times before and understood that Shota was overwhelmed. He opened his arms invitingly to his spouse. Shota slowly got up from his chair and crawled across the bed to Mic. He buried his face into Hizashi's chest beginning to sob.
Mic was a bit surprised at fist considering he rarely saw Shota cry. He never saw him look so vulnerable, so weak. It was as if he'd been bearing a weight he couldn't carry without complaints nor cries for help. As if he had already accepted that he'd never get it off himself.
He said nothing but wrapped his arms around him and held him close. He only said 13 words of comfort but to Shota they were worth everything.
"It's okay Sho. Let it all out. No one can hurt you here."
Those very words had been said 2 minutes before in another dorm room at UA.
-------------------------Meanwhile with Shinso-------------------------
Shinso was sitting in the computer room as he had received authorization from Aizawa to play a few video games there cause he broke his laptop. In the middle of a match a weird sensation arose in him.
'Why do I feel like I'm the only insomniac in my family not getting emotional support right now?'
He shrugged it off and continued to play but it wouldn't stop pestering him till he eventually decided to investigate later.
