~An Enduring Bond~

"Despite knowing you two had been friends for a while I thought you looked more like the other students minus the nickname." Nezu admitted.

The boys' laughter calmed and they both said in union "What took you so long?"

Everyone looked to the boy's with pure confusion. The two had to try their best to not burst into laughter again.

"I thought it would be obvious to you but turns out I was gravely mistaken!" Izuku said with his usual sweet tone.

"Honestly we gave them too much credit. If they couldn't even figure out the way we synchronize our attacks then what do they even know?" Kat said.

The teachers didn't understand what was going on. Weren't these kids always fighting? How could they stay on good terms for long enough to achieve such a level of cooperation? It seems impossible. The fact that they were friends all their lives and had seen each other work their quirks wouldn't be enough. Especially since Izuku said he got his quirk just recently.

"Well you can't blame them. No one really knew about it except Aunty. Anyhow Kacchan and I have been working together for a bit over a year. About 3 months before I got my quirk which was 1 year ago." Izuku stated.

"Also we've been training together for that time. We learned to combat together and alone. It was quite easy with Deku knowing my quirk's strength and weaknesses then putting together both of ours for maximum output." Katsuki was still fighting his laughs. NO WONDER DEKU NEVER GETS CAUGHT!

It took them a moment to pull everything together then looked to the kids in confusion. Really? How dumb can heroes get?

"So in the end are both of you gonna do it?"

"HELL YEAH!" They both said in union.

"I'm still not used to hearing Midoriya curse." Ectoplasm said trying to understand why Izuku is using such words.

The boys let out a little laugh and Aizawa remembered something important. "Oh yeah Shinso is joining us tomorrow and Mineta is being kicked out."

The boys looked dead for a second then smiled as if they were toddlers had just been told that they would have infinite candy for Christmas. They looked so happy then Izuku began to cry "Thank you." He said honestly.

"I told you Mineta was a pervert to both sides." Mic said boldly.

"Nerd I get it that you're happy but crying don't you think that's a little far" Kat looked to his friend and Izuku smiled wider than ever recorded in history. And that says a lot.

The students and teachers continued to discuss the approach that will be taken to have the duos and how they would put the work studies to become extra training. Each homeroom teacher had to prepare an email with suggestions of how to make it work if students had different work studies to their partner.

It was easier for Izuku and Katsuki as both were currently working in the Endeavor agency. They also agreed that on Saturday the boys would give a demonstration on how they work together. The teachers said they'd be sparring against Aizawa and Mic which obviously was not planned based on the two adult's reactions.

They had completely finished the meeting and sent the kids to their dorms. On the way Katsuki and Izuku laughed knowing they had managed to keep this a secret from the teachers at UA then there was nothing that could stop them.

Nothing could stop the duo. They were ahead of their classes in physical and written objectives. They also had a teamwork none of the others could compare to. Especially considering their quirks alone had the power of a top rank hero. Meanwhile their spirits were indestructible. Bakugo being constantly supported and Izu having overcome the effects of betrayal. They had been brought back together after something that would have killed most friendship. Theirs endured years while most broke after a month.

They knew that they were ahead of everyone but you know what.

One more race wont do any harm.

They both thought to themselves before taking off at full speed towards the dorms. Izuku used Air-force to a minimum impact to open the door for them and both flew in with a flamboyant entrance. They landed at precisely the same second. Smirks on both their faces as they looked at each other.

"I'LL BEAT YOU NEXT TIME NERD" Katsuki yelled with a grin plastered on his face.

"Don't get your hopes up." was all Izuku said while walked over to close the door which was not even to the slightest bit damaged.

The two then noticed their class sitting in the room along with some visitors. And Izuku was a bit embarrassed at the fact they had been caught.

"What was that?" a voice belonging to a grape asked.

"Kacchan and I were racing!" Izuku said enthusiastically.

"You join Aizawa watching the class fight, disappear together saying the teachers wanted to talk, hit the door without even making a crack, then come in here looking like y'all are ready to take on All for One, NOW YOU'RE TELLING US THAT YOU'RE JUST RACING!" Mineta yelled.

"I agree with Mineta here. This seems quite cheesy." Aoyama entered.

"Besides Bakugou knows he's the best. He wouldn't race with you!" Kaminari said having a brain-cell for once also being completely idiotic.

"Could it be that the so high on a pedestal Katsuki Bakugo has finally acknowledged that he may not be the best after all!" Monoma beamed.

Was earlier not enough for him? Katsuki thought.

Katsuki and Izuku knew a lot. They knew the only rooms in the building with security cameras were the bedrooms and bathrooms. They knew that the teachers could at least tell Izuku wasn't in a good mood today. They knew that the teachers knew Monoma had spoiled Izuku's milk earlier. They knew that everyone will have realized Izuku was holding back earlier. They knew that Aizawa, Nezu, and Mic wouldn't get mad at them.

But what the whole class knew was a lot simpler.

Izuku looked ready to murder anyone in his way.

Monoma crossed the damn line with the last fucking straw.

And he was in Izuku's way.

"Monoma." Izuku said with a sinister voice that would make Shigaraki think twice.

"Monoma." He began to raise his tone.

"Monoma." His volume increased each time he repeated the name to find that the boy did not answer.

"Neito Monoma." As the words left his mouth so did the last of his patience.

"NEITO. FUCKING. MONOMA." Wrath lined his words as he called the name.

"Say Monoma why don't you answer me? Are you scared? I am a fellow hero course student. Why should you fear me? Is it because you know? " Izuku walked up to him and whispered close to his ears yet loud enough to be heard by the rest."You know what you did was wrong."

Izuku punched Monoma causing the boy to fall flat on his back.

"You know. Back then you were talking about me right?"  He crouched in front of the other boy. "Did you know I prioritize my friends over myself?" As he said it he threw Monoma towards the wall.

"Did you know I prioritize Katsuki over all my friends?" He grabbed Neito by the neck and began to choke him.

"Answer me." He demanded

"Did. you. know. I. prioritize. Katsuki. over. all. my. friends."

"N-no." Monoma struggled to say.

"Well then let me tell you. Our friendship is more dear to me then my own life so if you try to assault it or him then I wont hesitate to take yours. And let today be a constant reminder of that." Izuku's voice was threatening and his eyes pierced through Monoma's soul.

He clearly was not joking as his death grip was still on Monoma causing the boy to cough. He only then released him and walked back over to the rest of the class leaving Neito to fight for his breath.

"I see you all are catching up after our battle just like last time! Kacchan and I have work to do assigned from the staff. But will we were in there they asked me to give them analysis I did on your work. They all said how they were impressed with our work and how our generation will certainly be more powerful then theirs. Keep working hard everyone!" He told the before being dragged away by Katsuki with a scowling face.

They all felt encouraged by the words but that was not their main emotion. Izuku showed them a side that he had with not even villains, nearly killed one of the students, and just turned back to normal! All within not even 5 minutes!

They loved their green been. Even awarded him the title of a cinnamon roll. But today's events show that the award would have been better in the hands of the Katsuki Bakugo who did not lift even a finger towards Monoma openly mocking him. Nor showed any signs of aggression after the boy had hurt Izuku. Not only that he openly tried to comfort Izuku and publicly obeyed 2 of his wishes.

Meanwhile the two recently seen laughing in the meeting room with their teachers walked into Katsuki's dorm. Both having a stoic look with no traces of any emotions. Katsuki didn't yell at Izuku for coming here first as this room was never disturbed.

Only the occasional knock from Kirishima during a big event. While Izuku had friends in and out of the room he stayed in. Never to the point they'd say he was having a party but his friends often asked for advice or comfort as well as invitations to almost anything.

And Izuku didn't try to tease Kacchan on the fact he had a billboard just above his bed. Nor pictures of the old hag, his dad, Izuku, and even some of their classmates who were lucky enough to have a picture besides the class photo.

Right now they both knew Izuku needed some time to think. And Kat sat on the top of his bed moving his pillow away and leaning on the head board. He opened his arms invitingly and Izuku accepted. The smaller boy threw himself into the arms of his best friend and began to pour his heart out.

The tears kept flowing and flowing. He didn't try to stop it like he would when he received a nasty comment. He knew it would be pointless as he had gone far past his limit. The tears continued to flow like a stream. He held on to Katsuki as if the boy was his last hope desperately looking for comfort. It came when Bakugo began to play with his hair and told him.

"It's okay nerd. Let it all out. No one can hurt you here."

It was true they had an enduring bond but instead of bearing the scars with rage and anger. They came together to form this unbreakable friendship. And Izuku was forever more grateful for it.
