~Partners in Crime~
18:02, 13 October 2022Bakugou woke up at the first beam of sunlight and found himself on Izuku's bed. He shuffled around looking for the nerd but found nothing but pillows and blankets. He began to think if the other boy had been kidnapped.
No. That couldn't possibly happen. Izuku was far too stubborn to be kidnapped. He thought.
As his eyes wandered about the room he found the boy sitting on his desk scribbling on a piece of paper. Relieved, he turned on his phone to find out that it was 5:30 am. Izuku had clearly been here for at least an hour considering the pile of papers next to him and the boy's restless nature.
"Didn't Aizawa tell you to take it easy nerd." He spoke as he got up from his position.
"I'm almost done."
"Doesn't matter if you're almost done or not. You've clearly been here a while. What if I tell Mr. Aizawa that, he wouldn't be very happy."
"Sorry Kacchan, I had to finish this before daybreak. I can only work on it in the dorm absolutely no where else. It's about our adventure from yesterday."
As he finished writing Izuku picked up the papers and placed them in a file. He then opened a drawer and what do you know. There were more files inside. He put it at the very front then closed and locked the drawer.
"Okay fine I'll let you get away with it this time. But you still need to rest. Take a nap later or else it won't be me that you'll have to deal with."
Bakugou opened the door and was about to walk out.
" Thanks for worrying about me Kacchan." Izuku said.
Katsuki nodded and left Izuku alone to get ready. Deep down he wished that Katsuki had stayed as he hated being alone for the intrusive thoughts that would overwhelm him. Well it's not like he could stay with Katsuki forever. He hated the fact that the comfort he felt with Bakugo wasn't found with anyone else.
Sure he enjoyed being in the presence of Aizawa and his family but this was different. His friends offered an amount of comfort but it was raw and unsatisfactory for he felt as though they were fake and cared but only of his image.
But then there's Katsuki. They knew each other since they were in diapers. Though they did spend a while apart, they came back together and stronger than ever. He remembered it as if it were yesterday.
Izuku and his mom were walking down the street and she was yelling at him to make sure he wouldn't embarrass her. She had been doing this since they were ready to leave. She wouldn't have brought him if it weren't for Mitsuki's request.
They had decided to come together and Mitsuki had said that they should have their boys spend time together. She tried to argue but gave up as Mitsuki was a stubborn person. She continued to talk but Izuku was paying no real mind to her.
He was scared.
Of what would happen in the Bakugou household. His mom surely wouldn't defend him if Katsuki chose to fight. He was glad that Mitsuki though not gentle was very nice. She always had been. Though most people would think it was his mother who was the nicest, his life was against that.
He soon came back to reality as they walked up to the door and Inko said one last thing before they knocked.
"Don't make me regret this."
Bakugo opened the door and greeted both his guests. He lead them into the living room before yelling out "OI! OLD HAG. Aunty and Deku are here" . His voice was different then he regularly was with Izuku. Though he clearly was unpleased with a certain guest his voice was still remarkably gentler.
'So I was the only one getting hellish torture but they're all whining like pathetic whimps.' Izuku thought to himself.
"I'M COMING. BRING THEM TO THE DINNING ROOM." She yelled back to her son.
"FINE." He answered before leading the two to the table and having them both sit. He sat at the facing end to Izuku with an empty seat besides him for his mother. The table was set with a delicious meal before them.
"This looks amazing!" Inko exclaimed.
"Of course it does cause I helped make it." Katsuki answered pridefully.
"I know you'll be a great cook one day." Inko said sweetly to him as to encourage the boy.
'So it's not impossible for you to be kind. Who would've thought.' Izuku wondered
"Izuku you should learn from Katsuki! Instead of wasting your time on heroes you should find something that will actually help you in life." Inko dreaded the fact Izuku still wanted to be a hero.
"Sorry I was putting the desert to cool." Mitsuki apologized as she walked into the room.
"It's alright, I'm used to you being late." Inko said with a chuckle and Katsuki laughed.
She denied Inko despite knowing that her best friend was indeed right. They all sat and talked for a while. During that time Izuku was having a war with his food.
It taste so good but he could only take a little of everything as to not reach his limit. Not only that but his mother would be mad if he ate too much and would probably call him names. He was completely silent the entire time.
The meal finished and it was time for dessert. A Large plate of beautiful desserts arrived and Katsuki almost jumped. It had mochi, dango, wagashi, Daifuku, and Manju
"Aunty, you and Izuku should come here more often." He said as he began to eat the mochi off his plate.
"Don't pay any mind to him. He loves spicy food but has a real soft spot for sweets." Mitsuki said as Inko laughed and Katsuki flushed a light red.
NOBODY HAD TO KNOW HE WAS SOFT SOMEWHERE!
"I would be delighted as long as you cook. But as for Izuku he's always out with his friends, I don't think I could ever catch him!" she said with a light laugh.
Izuku played along to this lie of hers. "MOM! I'm only a teen once!" he smiled and giggled despite his true emotions.
Katsuki let out a tch knowing the nerd was lonely. But why on earth would Aunty lie? Did Izuku lie to her? No he's a fucking angel. Then what the fuck was going on.
'OKAY THAT'S IT. I'M GONNA ASK THE GODDAMNED NERD MYSELF. I'M NOT STRESSING OVER THIS SHIT.'
As soon as they finished clearing up the table, Mitsuki went to the living room with Inko to catch up and Katsuki said he would head up to his room with Izu.
Izuku was scared no terrified. What the hell was going to happen to him. They walked into the room and Izuku's anxiety peaked to new levels ones which would seem impossible to reach. Was Katsuki gonna stab him? No that would be a bad idea. He would easily get caught.
His thoughts ran miles as Bakugou sat on his bed and looked Izuku in the eye.
"Why did Aunty lie about you having friends?" He asked.
"Wh-at?" Izuku was dumbfounded.
"You know what I mean."
"Can you read my mind?"
"No?"
"Then how would you know if I understand whatever shit your trying to tell me?"
"I- Okay fine! When I asked if you all could visit more often Aunty said that you're always out with your friends but you don't have any." Katsuki explained as if he were talking to a little kid.
Izuku looked away as he didn't feel like lying to Katsuki for some reason. He felt a hand gently pulling his face towards it's owner. "Izuku." He said in a caring manner. Izuku despised his tearful nature.
He would constantly fight himself over those water droplets. But nothing ever worked and the current situation didn't help as he blurted out as clearly as he could, "Why do you care? Aren't you the one who told me to kill myself? Why am I so important all of a sudden?"
Bakugou on the other hand rarely had to fight tears except these occasions when he found himself face to face with the destruction he caused. He knew it wasn't his place to cry but it hurt realizing what he had done to the loyal friend who had always remained behind him no matter what. But Izuku was a head of him in one way. His kindness. It was something He knew he would never have.
"I-I'm so-rry." He sputtered. "I know that's not gonna cut it but I also know how wrong I was. I basically abused you mentally and physically. I know I'm not the one who should be crying but I can't help it after realizing what I have done to you. You were there to help me despite how many times I pushed you away. And I can tell that you still don't hate me. But there's something worse than hating me which you have done and I have caused."
Bakugou couldn't handle it anymore and let his tears flow. The overly kind greenette looked interested in the words who still lingered in the air. He brought a hand to Katsuki's face and wiped his tears. Although the blond looked like a mess, Izuku was not startled by this unusual demeanor.
"What is it Kacchan?" His voice had a gentle and comforting air in it's nature.
"I made you fear me." Katsuki's voice cracked half-way through the phrase.
Izuku couldn't deny it, he was afraid of him.
"You're right. But you know what you did was wrong. I'm ready to forgive if you're willing to start over. It might take time for me to drop fear but if you want to I'm ready to try."
Kat nodded in agreement and Izuku smiled then hugged him. He couldn't understand why Izuku would forgive him but he decided to accept it.
Ever since then Katsuki has been trying to make up for all those years and Izuku would keep trying to convince him it was enough. And that day the foundations were laid for becoming partners in crime. A duo would rise up and no one would be able to separate them, and all evil would perish before them.
