~Laying the Foundations For Karma~

20:20, 10 September 2022

It was Monday morning after a peaceful weekend with Aizawa. Izuku sat in class that morning with much peace at mind. It felt nice to get a break from everything. Now he was back and better than ever.

He knew his mom wouldn't bother as long as she didn't know what had happened. 'I guess I'll just keep away and everything should be fine from her'. He thought. But oh boy he was wrong.

"IZUKU MIDORIYA REPORT TO THE PRINCIPLE'S OFFICE"

What? Was he in trouble? He didn't remember doing anything illegal this week. What was going on?

"Midoriya you are excused." Midnight's voice snapped him from his trance and he got up to head to the office. He walked down the hall with his mind going all sorts of places till he arrived.

The boy hesitantly knocked. Within seconds the door flew open and a hand pulled him inside. He soon recovered from the shock and looked around. There were three adults in the room and a few papers here and there. Each had a small stack in front of them and were looking at him.

"Earth to Izuku"

Aizawa's voice returned the boy to his senses. "What's going on?" the greenette asked with a mix of confusion and curiosity laced into his tone. " This is revenge- though I prefer the term karma" Nezu claimed with the eerie voice which could kill for itself.

Poor Mic seemed scared as he sat in a corner watching the other two adults who looked like they had flipped from top heroes to top villains. Though he agreed with their motives, the poor guy couldn't help but shiver at the words which had been circulating the room minutes before.

"What do you mean Mr. Principle?" Midoriya still couldn't understand the murderous looks that the chimera possessed.

"We are gonna kill- I mean talk with your mother" Nezu began," We need you to provide an address. Also call me Nezu please." His voice was so calm and angelic it even fooled the terrified Hizashi Yamada for a few seconds.

"It's alright. If she doesn't know where I am she wont care. There's no need to bother." Izuku said as he realized what they meant.

"Izuku how will people become good if there are no consequences to their actions they will see evil going unpunished and will know that they wont pay for their actions." Aizawa said to the boy trying to reason with him.

It seemed to work as Izu sat own and wrote his address on the paper handed to him. He gave it back then asked, "Is that all?" His voice was dull and emotionless all of the sudden. Shota couldn't help but feel guilty even if it was the right thing.

He knew he was being a hypocrite as his own parents weren't in jail. Could they have influenced what happened to Zuku? Was it all his fault for not having enough courage to stand up to them.

"What do you think sho?" Mic's voice snapped him out of his trance. "Hmm?" He hummed signaling he was out of it.

"Nezu suggested we adopt Izuku instead of putting him in the system." Mic summarized the conversation for him but Shota rejected. "WHY NOT SHO?" Mic's voice rang.

"I'M adopting him not you." Shota stated, "He's MY son not yours." And with that everyone in the room burst into laughter. Though the plan to murder was not forgotten it was alot more peaceful at that moment.

"I'll have the papers by tomorrow." Nezu said regaining himself. "What about all these?" Izuku questioned starring at all the piles of paper there were in the office. "Legal stuff." Aizawa answered.

It was quite the opposite but the innocent kid didn't have to know that.

He picked up one but no one stopped him as they new the papers didn't look fake at all. They were right but as Izuku read through the paper he began to laugh. They all stared at him confused as to why the teen was was roaring with laughter.

"Who would have imagined HEROES using fake documents are teaching the new generation." He then burst out laughing again and his peers stared in disbelief. "HOW THESE WOULD BE ENOUGH TO FOOL US HOW WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO TELL?!!" Shota's voice was full of shock and somewhat fear.

Izuku fucked up

"Yes you fucked up." Aizawa answered

"Well I may or may not have made a few for my mom" Izuku explained, "She's an alcoholic/drug addict and I had to make papers for her many times to give to the police. She also needed papers for me for several different reasons and she wouldn't pay. So it was either I payed or faked it and I run on my own money so I didn't have enough. I'm sorry. I hope you're not mad"

Aizawa grabbed the kid and whispered in his ear. He then looked to the other adults and he asked "Isn't it time for lunch?" They nodded and Shota took Izuku to the teacher's lounge.

The boy had a good time with the teachers. He thought it was because of his situation they were being so nice. But he enjoyed it from his usual loneliness. He had friends but they were always too busy. And it proved a great distraction from his thoughts. But one thing still lingered on his mind.

What his teacher told him.

'I did many wrong things for my parents some I'll never admit to anyone including myself'

He wondered what those things could be while making it seem as if  he were paying full attention to the conversation and tried to figure why heroes would need fake documents when they have enough trust to get away with many things. And underground heroes could work freely without worry as not many know them.

What could possibly be so secretive or wrong that they would commit a crime and for him of all people. He suddenly remembered his promise with Aizawa and decided to put the topic down. He wasn't sure what Aizawa, Mic, and Nezu were up to but one thing was clear.

They were laying the foundations for karma. And he loved karma.
