Chapter thirty six

Connor's POV

I walk into Rosa's room and as I do she smiles at me.  

'Hey beautiful.' I say.

'Hi.' She replies weakly. 'What happened?'

'You had a tear on your aorta. Probally from lifting all those boxes.' I explain. 'We had to deliver the babies using an emergency ceserean. They're in NICU now and doing fine.'

'How long will I be in for?' She asks me.

'At least a week, maybe two.' I tell her. 'We can go and see our children if you want?' She laughs and smiles. I help her into a wheelchair and take her to NICU. We go in and put her beside baby girl. 'We need to name them.' I say as I put my hand through the hole in the incubator of baby boy. 'Boy hispanic, girl american?' She nods. 

'You pick the girl, I'll pick the boy.' Rosa tells me. 'Miguel.' I smile and nod.

'Ava.' I say. She smiles. 

'Welcome to the world, Ava.' She says to Ava.

'Welcome to the world, Miguel.' I say to the little baby boy.
