Taehyung sips his white wine while looking through the Hudson River from his apartment. It's windy and calm, he kind of likes this. But, his mind isn't calming at all. He's been thinking so hard about what he should have done to make his life better. Jennie is the one who makes his life better.

After Yoongi told him about what Jennie had been through, he didn't feel pity for her but he was scared. His guilt eats him up because of their first meeting. He finally understood why Jennie felt heavy and sometimes freaked out about all they did, she was scared it would happen again.

He eventually thinks he doesn't deserve Jennie anymore. He's a chaos too. If Jennie someday will break down, he can't be there to hold her. It only makes him scared because he knows how it feels, he knows how it feels when about to lose someone. He can't make her suffer or accept his nightmare too, it's too heavy for their relationship... if there'll be one.

Jennie:

Are we gonna hangout or not?

Taehyung sighed when he looked at her text. He decided not to come to her apartment because he sees her completely differently now. He sees her as a woman who'd been through hell and needs a man to help her too, to hold her, to remind her everyday she's okay, to embrace her when she has another breakdown, to wait for her no matter what. He's an impatient guy, he needs assurance. When Jennie said she wanted to take it slow, he accepted it but only because he thought Jennie would gather up her life first, build her own law firm again.

So, Taehyung just made up an excuse.

Taehyung:

I'm sorry, Jennie. I can't, my brother is in town and I have to accompany him for a whole week.

Taehyung felt guilty, he wanted to go.. really, but it's killing him everytime he remembers it because he wants to tell her about him, he wants her to be a part of his journey. He tries to think of the right words to apologize to her that this isn't working out. He is sorry if he gave her empty promises but he didn't see it coming. Jennie is going to choke him to death, well... Taehyung deserves it.

He was just staring at the view of his apartment and suddenly he got a call. It's Yoongi. He thinks it's weird why he suddenly calls him.

"Hello?" There's a silence for a second. Maybe Yoongi was startled because he answered it right away. "Uhm. Hey. Where are you?"

"In my home, why?",

"About today..." Taehyung sighed, he didn't want to talk about it yet suddenly someone kept bugging him about this and it gets more annoying when it's her ex. "Look, i don't need your nagging anymore i will stay away from Jennie. end of discussion."

Yoongi froze. He didn't expect this from Taehyung because those words are just far from what he wants to talk about. So, he tries to interrogate him first to know why suddenly he felt like that's a right option for him and Jennie. "Why?" Taehyung was confused. He asked why? isn't this what he wants to hear from him? That's why he called, right?

Taehyung groaned and facepalm himself, he was really furious with Yoongi right now for being this annoying. "Look, dude! i did what you want, so please don't ever talk to me or—"

"Don't stay away from her." That's all Yoongi said to make Taehyung more confused. Yoongi realizes he still doesn't get what this conversation is about, so he continues, "I said that because I trust you. I know you helped Lisa and Jungkook with a crazy stalker. You weren't just finding it but letting her learn the lesson. Lisa is like my little sister, even though I can't do what you did and I really appreciate it since it should be my duty to protect her.

So, what I am saying is don't ever think of backing away from her. If you like her, pursue it. If you have a problem with her past, don't be. She tries so hard to not live with it anymore and move forward. She needs someone who remind her the importance about what she should do at the moment, to let her forget what she had done because all mistake she did isn't relevant anymore now,

You know what I've been thinking all this time? you making her quit her job is the best thing that happened to her. It's like she lives again. And how can I know that? Lisa rarely hangs out with her because she said Jennie has always been busy building her law firm. It shows how Jennie really lives her best life again. She rebuild herself and i hope you aren't crushing it,

She has to have someone remind her of that. I think you're the right person for her to do that. You great guy, you just arrived here for a couple months yet you helped people around you. So, please. Now help yourself to catch what you want."

Taehyung still gets weird about this sudden support. Maybe he thanks him for taking care of Lisa? Is he so sure that Taehyung will protect Jennie too? But he still finds him annoying with his sudden advice.

"It's my choice, stick your nose in your ass, Yoongi." He hangs up and he is really mad. It's his choice and no one knows what he's been through.

Jennie throws her phone in her bedroom. 'What a liar!' Jennie scoffed. She's really mad at him because he so stupid that he thought Jennie doesn't know Taehyun is his twin brother and lives in Korea for now due to undergoing treatment because of a gunshot on his shoulder. Why suddenly when she tried to open her heart, she got ditched without a reason. It hurt her pride a bit and what makes it more ugly, Taehyung was the one who begged her to try, now she's been pranked by him.

She's looking through her case files she recently got from Mr. Khadra, but she still contemplates about Jungkook's family scandal. Should she tell Lisa? But what if it endangered their relationship? Jennie will blame herself if it happened. When she's looking through her case, she feels thrilled and scared at the same time. Mexico? Should she investigate the trail of drugs transferred there? There's hundreds of ghost accounts that this cruel guy made for half of their employees and the balances to every account were incredibly big. One account can consist of one hundred thousand dollars which is more than their employees make a year.

Somehow when it comes to something like this and since she and Taehyung are on good terms maybe she needs Taehyung for a perspective. But, it only lasted two days and that bastard made her want to commit a murder by strangling him. Jennie couldn't focus because she was pissed. So, instead she sleeps early so she can finish this reading tomorrow morning.

When she arrived at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. Jennie was shivering all over her body, it's her first time in months since she dealt with a tough case with a bunch of famous lawyers. This law firm is the number one law firm in New York with an almost perfect score by Vaults Annual Associate. Mr. Khadra said they'll be working directly under Mr. Reynolds, the litigation department lawyer of the year and their senior partner. When Jennie enters their auditorium, she sees dozens of lawyers as an analyst of this case. She felt special because she'll be the one of five lawyers who present this case in court including Mr. Khadra. It's a long meeting and Jennie could kill herself from all these arguments between lawyers. Everyone seems don't trust anyone and it killed her because this argument got them nowhere. But after an hour, finally there's a conclusion and Mr. Reynolds as a senior partner and lawyer in this case choose three associates for this case including Mr. Khadra and Jennie.

When she's about to leave their office, she got an email. It's from Lisa.

We're really excited to host a party as a couple for the first time and enjoy a delightful and incredible view of New York on New Year's countdown with us! Jennie couldn't hold her smile seeing this email from a couple of the century right now. She can see Lisa really enjoying her relationship with Jungkook and he clearly whipped her too. She's glad Lisa can open up her heart to someone and she's so lucky to be with Jungkook. Jennie somehow got a little bit jealous because she wanted one but of course she clearly can't have one since her trauma and apparently her complicated deal with a jerk named Taehyung. How dare he say yes but no eventually, everytime she remembered it she couldn't forgive him.

The party is in a week and now she has time off because at the office there's nothing to do anyway, so she decided to shop for some clothes.

She enters the Miu Miu store to shop for some dresses. She kinda likes mini dresses here and she thought to wear one so she browsed there. When she wants to grab a white sequin dress white dress with a big black bow on the chest, someone grab it at the same time too. Jennie examined her figure from head to toe. She's wearing black sleeveless knit sweater with a bunny printed on it and inside it she wears a puffed sleeves blouse with a red mini skirt. She added a red bandana on her loose golden brown long hair. She's kinda a cheerful person with her sweet smile. Okay, Jennie thinks this girl is like a pretty innocent girl.

"Ah, mian." The girl said sorry but Jennie furrows her eyebrows because she apologizes in Korean. The girl shakes her head because she remembers she's speaking in Korean. "Ah, I'm sorry, please take it." She corrected it in english. Jennie chuckles and decides to speak in Korean too to surprise the girl. "That's okay, you first." The girl widens her eyes and gets shocked.

"You speak Korean?"

Jennie nods her head and speaks again. "I'm actually Korean so yeah. I'm Jennie Kim." The girl mouthed 'ahh' as she understood by her last name, she's Kim. So she offered her hand to Jennie for a hand shake. "Hello, I'm Kim Jisoo. By the way, please take it. I just realized it's too short for me." Jisoo handed her the dress.

"Oh really? maybe you have to try it after me anyway. So, you don't have to keep wondering if it is good for you or not." Jisoo chuckles at her offer so she nods and waits in front of a fitting room. Jisoo is glad she found one person who is Korean because she's here alone to accompany her fiance and she gets bored because her fiance suddenly got a meeting in his office, so she decided to shop alone until he finishes.

When Jennie opens the curtains, Jisoo mesmerizes her body. It's beautiful, Jennie is so fit with the dress. "What do you think?" Jennie twirls and she's chuckle because Jisoo just stares at her blankly, it's like she gets a starstruck.

"You're so pretty! you have to buy this!" Jennie contemplates because this is the first store she enters and she wants to explore more but when she wears it, Jennie already fell in love with this.

"Uhm, I don't know. I mean it's nice but my best friend's party might be more classy and maybe i have to put on a maxi dress instead?" Jisoo is thinking it through though, she starts to think maybe this fiance's cousin's new year party will be more like a formal party.  But, Jisoo came up with an idea. She sees a blazer in front of her and grabs it to show to Jennie.

"maybe you're right, but what if you put a navy double breasted blazer, stockings and mary jane high heels to make it more elegant?" Jennie quickly nods and agrees with her.

"Okay! But what about you? what will you wear to your occasion?"

"You don't have to worry. I will go to Dior after this. I like to shop there too." Jennie came up with an idea. She doesn't have to rush to her office now and she feels guilty for 'stealing' this dress from her.

"How about I accompany you there? you already gave me a nudge to this dress, maybe i can give you support for what you choose?" Jisoo suddenly turned her face into a happy one.

She's glad someone was kind enough to do that when she's completely alone here in New York. She just nodded and dragged Jennie to a cashier to check out this dress immediately and go to Dior.

When Jisoo and Jennie enter the store, suddenly a store clerk approaches them. "Ms. Kim! So nice to meet you again after months you visited. What do you need?" Jennie arches her eyebrows because how come this woman knows Jisoo that close, it looks like she often goes to New York and this store.

"Oh hello, Kelly. Yes, I have a new year's party that my fiance's brother is hosting next week so I need a formal white or black dress." the saleswoman nods and leads their way to a more private space, inside they see exclusive clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories. She offers Jennie and Jisoo to sit on a sofa.

Jennie wanders around this exclusive space, it's like for a VIP customer. So Jennie gets curious with Jisoo and starts asking.

"So... you are rich." Jennie brushes her hands through every dress on display. It's like an exclusive collection of clothes. Jisoo laughs while covering her mouth.

"No, no, uhm, actually I'm an ambassador of Dior in Korea." Jennie widens her eyes, this girl really amazes her not only her beauty but her background too, she gets more curious of who she is. "Oh? Are you a model? conglomerate's daughter? a Kpop idol? Because you're really pretty."

"No, I'm not that pretty. Many are prettier than me in Korea. Actually I'm a Kpop soloist." So Jennie was right, if there's a person this pretty either she's an actress or a singer or model. She is so sure Jisoo is someone popular in Korea.

"Oh, so why do you have to buy a new dress? is there any celebrity party you need to attend?" Jisoo shakes her head as a no.

"No, my fiance's brother is going to throw a New Year's countdown party here, so I want to buy a new dress." Jennie starts thinking, is this girl related to Jungkook or Lisa? Because she's buying a dress for a new year's eve party too.

"Oh! So do i! I will go to my best friend's party. My best friend, Lisa, is dating this new guy and they're so in love that they want to host a party together." Jisoo widens her eyes. How small is New York? On something like this, she gets to meet someone related to her too.

"You know Lisa? She's my brother-in-law's new girlfriend! how small the world can be, huh?" Jisoo is so excited because finally she will have a friend here other than Lisa.

"Oh yes! Jeon Jungkook, right? They really love and match each other. Both of them are great." Jisoo nodded to agree.

"Yes! Jungkook is so lucky to meet Lisa because she's so bubbly yet sometimes intimidated when at work. I heard her once when she's on the phone with her office when we're on vacation and she's so scary nagging her employee." Jennie chuckles because that's how Lisa is like every time she's at work. Lisa is that hard working girl with two sides.

Saleswoman came back to the vip room by dragging a hanger stand. The stand is filled with a bunch of dresses and gowns with black and white vibes like Jisoo told her. The saleswoman didn't come alone, apparently there's a woman with a tray of tea and a couple of mini desserts that come to serve Jennie and Jisoo. Jennie just thinks she really wants that kind of service but she doesn't want to be Jisoo's shadow, she wants it on her own for every brand she visits. Now, she's thinking how to be like that, Jennie is sure an ambitious woman.

"We have a cruise, spring-summer, and fall collection." Jisoo stood up and looked through every dress in the stand.

Jennie observe her and thinking maybe she's not just a fiancée of Jeon-Kim grandson, of course she's a conglomerate's daughter because she look classy as one, Jennie isn't feeling guilty anymore to got that Miu Miu sequin dress because Jisoo clearly can get any dress better than her.

"I think I will try this! it'll match with you. we're going with white and a little bit of black!" Jisoo grabbed a Dior cruise white mini dress with a Greece woman pattern on it. Jennie just nodded and let her change to try on. When she gets out of the fitting room, Jennie smiles at her because she looks beautiful in it.

"What do you think?" Jennie nodded a couple times because she really liked her style.

"You look gorgeous! it's beautiful on you, Jisoo!" Jisoo's face got reddened. Of course she always hears it from everyone but she never thought that if there's only two people in the room, someone beside her fiance is still complimenting her. "Ah, thank you."

Jisoo looked at the saleswoman to ask something. "Uhm, what bag and shoes did you have? I think I will go with a whole outfit." Saleswoman and Jisoo walk to the display and Jennie gets curious too so she joins them to look around. When Jisoo tries to wear a couple shoes and bags, Jennie starts asking her again.

"So, who will you marry, Jisoo?" Jennie asked while she touched a couple of bags on a display in front of her.

"Oh, Kim Seokjin. He's a future successor of Jeon-Kim tech industries." Jennie somehow statue to where she stands.

Kim Seokjin... the other grandson who lost his parents due to that plane crash beside Jeon Jungkook. Jennie now feels nervous because what she knows is only a couple inches away from her, Jisoo is his fiancee and she's a friend too with Lisa who is Jennie's best friend and Jennie knows everything about those two cousins.

"Ah, yes I know him. He's like Jungkook's brother right? Jungkook mentioned him a couple of times, he said although Jin is his cousin but their closeness make them like brothers." Jennie starts to lure her to get to a conversation she gets curious into.

"Yes, they are the closest cousins, so he looks up to Jin as a big brother." Jisoo still nonchalantly said to her while looking at the mirror trying on some high heels.

"Is that so? why? Because I never heard him mention any other cousins. Has he never been close to all of them?" Jisoo chuckled and shook her head.

"No, it's not that. They both were taken care of by their grandpa and have stuck together until now." Jennie saw the irony of that. A grandpa who lives on lies to his grandson that never tries to fight for their parent's death, how awful it is. Jennie doesn't want to question any further because she's scared Jisoo will start to get suspicious, so Jisoo just ends their shopping time with buying the dress, with a gold-tone nano bag and golden Dior fishnet and gross grain high heels.

On the sidewalk while waiting for their driver, Jennie spotted her driver first. "Jisoo, I have to go. My driver is here." Both of them look where Jennie is pointing and Jisoo nodded. She gives Jennie a hug before they seperate ways.

"Thank you Jen for accompanying me shopping. I'll see you again at the party!" Jisoo said. Jennie smiled and nodded.

"I might as well call you unnie! you're older than me and I hope we can get closer! goodbye, unnie! be careful." Jisoo laughed and nodded. She really likes that finally she has a friend in New York because she often comes here to accompany Jin.

"What do you mean?" Taehyung asked Mrs. Hopkins. "Mr. Kim, you failed to file a patent for our prototype." Taehyung widens his eyes because he clearly orders his employee to file a patent.

Recently, Omnicom group made a prototype system to analyze the market for small business owners and it's a big opportunity to sell it to many of them who just started their business.

The investor of their prototype got excited and waited for a final presentation sooner, but Mrs. Hopkins ordered the company legal team to finish the patent first so either the investor backed out or in, they still had an obligation to develop their product with the name they gave.

Taehyung is really furious because he specifically ordered his employee, Johnny Suh to take care of it and it has to be done by this week because the presentation will be held next week.

But, apparently he clearly didn't do it. So, Taehyung marches out from Mrs. Hopkins' office bangs Johnny's table with a file that proves it has never been filed yet. "You clearly can't do anything right!" Taehyung screams at him in front of many employees and makes them turn their heads to Johnny Suh's cubicle.

"What did I tell you? you have to do it by this week and instead our patent has been rejected? since three days ago?" It turns out Johnny never filed a patent before and it got a twelve hours late before their competitor got to fill its patent so he failed.

"Uhm, sir--this-just-i'm sorry, but we are preceded by Ruckus Marketing." Taehyung got even more mad when he heard a competitor's name. "And they got it twelve hours ago? I handed it to you a week ago, Mr. Suh. Don't make me rethink why you should be here." Johnny widens his eyes. Ever since

Taehyung got a job as their CLO, Johnny's reputation has been at stake because he lost his promotion from him. And now, he's getting yelled at by his boss, which doesn't do any good for his reputation since filing a patent is the easiest task, even for associates.

"You! Come with me tomorrow! we're filing an injunction to stop them releasing their product first!" Taehyung yelled at him once again and stormed out of his office. He sees a woman figure sitting across his desk, it's Lisa.

"What do you want?" Taehyung asked her with a cold tone, he still not in the mood for a casual conversation.

"Wow, you are loud. I can clearly hear you nagging Mr. Suh because of a patent." Lisa puts her phone down and looks at Taehyung who slumps to his swivel chair and makes a deep sigh, he is stressing out.

"Well, now I know why he isn't competent for a promotion." Lisa chuckled and started to speak again. "Did you check your email?" Taehyung shakes his head. "I was in a meeting with our investors about that damn prototype only to know there'll be nothing."

Lisa sighed, "I sent you an invitation to Jungkook and my new years eve party next week."

"I'm not going."

"What?" Lisa was taken aback.

"I'm not going", "Why?" Taehyung sighed, he couldn't explain to her that he doesn't want to meet Jennie but that's impossible, she'll be mad at him because she's been helping him to get her only to make him go distance.

"You're fighting with Jennie unnie?" Taehyung shakes his head. ''is it because Yoongi?" He shakes his head too and now Lisa gets annoyed because he keeps something from her.

"Okay, i don't care what's your problem but you'll go or i drag you to my party with my bodyguard. Whatever is going on between you and Jennie must be fixed. I betray her to let you know that she won't get distance from her." Lisa stands up and exits his office. Taehyung smirked and chuckled to himself that Lisa was reading his mind.

He's thinking again how it could be when he comes to the party and Jennie will be there. Should he explain himself or should he just keep the distance and act like they're nothing in the first place.

Taehyung's face palm himself. It's been days since he canceled their date and Jennie never came to him. Why would she? She's thinking about her pride like he is, they're practically the same.

They only catch each other if they come at a coincidence moment to make it look like faith does for them but if there's no business, they just decide to keep quiet and keep their work as a priority.

The next day, Taehyung and Johnny go to the courthouse to propose an injunction for their case. When he and Johnny got into the courtroom and found his competitor and the judge.

"You're five minutes late." The judge said to him. "Your honor, it's late because of a sudden change of time to an hour early when I had to be involved in another case. We have our own business as well."

"Then you're thinking this is not a priority in the first place. Maybe this is just a joke to you and to prolong someone's successful market." His competitor said beside him, Taehyung shot a glare at him.

"Why is this becoming a problem?" The judge asks Taehyung while Johnny proceeds to sit.

"Your honor, this rights of our prototype has been pending for months and this innovation of Ruckus Marketing just came by as three weeks ago without the prototype itself finished and present to the investor. So, we're likely to propose an injunction."

"Then, why haven't I got the copy of the injunction?" The judge shot him with a cold tone and Taehyung can sense he clearly didn't like Taehyung from the start.

"Because, we're about to send you when you clear your own schedule to make it an hour early when we're just ready for the first schedule the court gave to us."

"Mr. Kim, are you suggesting that is my mistake in the first place? Because if it's an important thing for your company to claim this prototype of yours, you have to know the risk and be ready for it." Taehyung doesn't understand the meaning because somehow it becomes a personal reason for the judge to act this way to him.

"Your honor, this is the copy--" When Taehyung handed his copy, the judge cut him. "Julian, give it to me." He ordered the security to take it from Taehyung. He only looks at it for a second and starts to speak.

"I can't approve this when you nudge this suddenly to my face. Dismissed." The judge leaves the room through a back door and leaves Taehyung confused. Johnny stands up beside him and asks. "I don't think he can do that."

Taehyung stares at Johnny because he knows this is not supposed to happen, when he turns to his side to his opponent they just give him a smirk and leave the room. "Wait here." Taehyung said as he followed the judge to the back door. He knocks on the judge's office and he turns around.

"What is it, Taehyung?" Now he is just more curious why he knows his first name when he clearly didn't know him at all until now.

"I came here because i can see you have a problem with me", "Yes, your attitude." Taehyung smirks and approaches his desk. "I think you mean something else." The judge sat comfortably across from him with a smirk back.

"You know my name makes it more clear, Judge Williams," Taehyung said as he saw the name on his desk and read it to him.

Judge Williams sighed and started to speak. "Oh so if you know Tzuyu Chou you must know clearly what you did." Taehyung froze on his seat. About months ago before he met Jennie, he met Tzuyu Chou in one of his bars in New York. One thing led to another and he had sex with her because he's drunken state.

Tzuyu said she was single but now he's understood that she clearly is not, this is her husband if he is correct. This battle got into another turn. "Your silence Taehyung makes everything clear that you're not acceptable enough to make your case acknowledged to me."

"What do you want?" Taehyung suddenly turned into a mad face when he knew this judge wanted something from him. "I need you to help me confirm that she was having an affair with you, so I can win this prenup battle due our divorce case." Taehyung finally understands that Judge Williams wants to run from an obligation they had when he and Tzuyu made a prenup.

But, he doesn't know what's behind the prenup they made. He might be cold but he has a soft spot for women too. What if the prenup contains something important that if it won't be granted for Tzuyu, she can be miserable. He cares for a widow to have a life they deserve. But, he can't ask him what's on a paper though. So, he took another turn.

"I can sue you for your judgment because your verdict overturned something personal. Your reputation is on stake anyway, Judge Williams." He thought he would make the judge scared or widen his eyes to a sudden counter attack but he's not, he has something in mind.

"I don't care about reputation, I'll retire in no time and I need all my pension money to not be given to some pretentious bitch who doesn't understand loyalty" Now, Taehyung contemplates. Tzuyu might have been a spoiled woman when he met her.

He remembered she insisted on checking in on a five star hotel and he didn't have a clue why it should be that way when it got easier to do it in a bathroom. He still remembers the morning after, she asked him to have a romantic breakfast and lunch too when he was just interested in one night stand only and left in the morning forgetting about each other.

Taehyung smirked to this fifty year old man, maybe Tzuyu was after his money and needed a real man to satisfy her enough. "I give you twenty four hours before it expires to propose it again." Judge William tries to pressure him. But instead, he took a deal Judge Williams made.

"I'll give it to you in an hour." Taehyung stands up and leaves Judge Williams in his victory smile, Taehyung needs to do it because he has nothing to do with Tzuyu anyway so why bother to think about it for twenty four hours.  He has to choose a career over some skank.

When he's about to leave the courthouse and take a stairs down to his car, he accidentally bumps into someone he thought he would never meet again for another week until the new year's eve party. It's Jennie Kim.

Meanwhile, Jennie drops her files because someone in front of her makes a sudden run to her and when she gathers her files from the stairs she looks up in shock. It's Taehyung.

"Hey, are you okay? Sir, please watch your step" Fai who's with her holds her shoulders to stand up giving Taehyung a glare to him. So, Taehyung finally met Fai Khadra, the litigation attorney who offered a collaboration to Jennie. He's a good looking guy who is six foot tall and has an Arabian figure, Taehyung admits he is handsome.

"That's fine, Fai" Taehyung was even more surprised to hear Jennie called him by first name basis when they were just a partner in her case.

Now, Taehyung feels like he got a stab on his heart when she called him with last name when she felt comfortable calling him by his name.

"Good morning, Ms. Ruby Jane" Taehyung purposely called her by his favorite name and it made her startled. Fai on the other hand feels confused where those names come from.

"Uh, what are you doing here Mr. Kim" Jennie tried to make a short conversation since Taehyung already gave an awkward vibe when he called her by her middle name.

"Oh, I was about to make an injunction for a patent for my company's product. And you?" Jennie is still stuttering and her hands sweat because she's standing close to him but on the lower stairs she has to look up at him.

"I'm here with my partner, Mr. Khadra, the litigation lawyer. We're about to make a proposal for further investigation of our case to the judge." Taehyung turns his head to Fai, making Fai confused with his smirk. "So, you're the Fai Khadra that Jennie talked about." Taehyung smirked when he saw Fai's shocked face and Jennie too got shocked by his statement and suddenly called by her first name.

"We were talking about you the other day in her apartment when she had her first tough case. I hope you won't let down Ms. Ruby Jane to build her firm's reputation." Jennie's eyes got bigger as soon as she heard his words, clearly Taehyung tried to make Fai realize their closeness by mentioning her apartment to make Fai wonder why and what's the thing between them.

But, when Jennie or Fai start to speak, Taehyung cuts them off. "I should go, good luck on your case. I hope Mr. Khadra shot a bullet for this case. I know Jennie will ace this. See you at a party next week. Excuse me." Taehyung proceeds to his car, leaving Jennie shocked by his words. It was her representation of someone who can help her. She never talks about it to him yet he knows what's best for her.

And he knew about the party that Lisa and Jungkook were going to host. Now, she's nervous they'll meet again next week.
