chapter 2 - disbelief

So i had entered the competition and to be honest i didnt have much hope that i would win. I mean come on what's the chance that out of thousands of fans, I would win the tickets? With this in mind I continued my day as usual.

It had been about a week now since I entered the competition and I had lost all hope that i would win. I began to think that a winner had already been selected and I imagined them bouncing up and down on their bed screaming in delight...that's what I would do. That's what I wish I was doing right now. I was still racking my brains to try and figure out how the hell I was gonna get tickets for this concert, but just as I began to give up completely the phone rang. I picked it up and was starteled by the cheery voice on the other end. "CONGRATUALTIONS!" He said in a slightly annoying and exaggerated Hollywood accent. "We are delighted to inform you that you are the lucky winner of the Bon Jovi tickets" my face was frozen, my jaw slack, and I just sat there making a strange groaning noise as I tried to find the words to describe my excitement.

after what seemed like hours of sitting speechless I gave off the loudest screech of happiness anyone has ever made. "OMG OMG OMG" I said over and over again. The man on the phone continued to tell me how to claim the tickets and that I would also get a free signed photo of Jon along with them!

I ran down the stairs (after hanging up the phone obviously) as fast as I could and told my parents the incredible news. My mum was extremely happy for me and gave me one of her infamous bear hugs. My dad on the other hand was less than happy for me..."Who are you taking with you?" He said in a short, stern tone. "Oh...uhh...umm... I'll take Beth" Beth was my best friend, she wasn't really a fan but I knew she would love hanging out at a concert with me anyway. My dad was still on the fence about whether or not he was happy about me going but eventually he told me he was happy that I was so happy and decided to let me accept the tickets.

I was in complete disbelief about the whole situation. I was actually going to a Bon Jovi concert! I phoned Beth and told her the news and to my surprise she was completely ecstatic about it. We talked all night about what we would wear, what songs we wanted them to play most and how dreamy jon is. And before I knew it, it was the day of the concert...
