Chapter Nine

You just watched as H started dancing along with M walking away

H turned his head where you were slouching. He had just noticed the empty cups that he swore, it was full seconds ago

" You both argue like old nasty dog and cats" you slurred

"Oh shit, You're drunk" H exclaimed

"Nope, Am not" you denied. You didn't know if the people are moving or if it's your vision

"Come on" H held you waist firmly and made you drink lots of water

"Heck, I forgot how strong these drinks are" you puffed your red cheeks and exhale out as you were slowly coming to your senses

"You careless idiot" H muttered not knowing you heard it

You slapped his biceps "That's you, not me. Let's go, I see Vungus" H was reluctant to remove his arm around you but soon removed it and followed you to where   M sat

"There you are, lovers" M said when you and H sat down

You glared at her which resulted her to send a smirk at the two of you

"You alright now?" H whispered to you. He couldn't help but be concerned

"Peachy" you threw him a wink as he let out a little chuckle

"So how long you here for, buddy?" H started a conversation with Vungus

"Vungus go home tomorrow"  he reminded you of that huge green angry guy you saw on movies. Hulk? I think that's the name

"Tomorrow? We better make it a good one, huh?" H said

"I came here to talk, H and X. We need to speak"  with the way he talked, You sensed he is serious.

"I'm all ears" you cupped your ear to indicate you were listening to whatever he might say. But H, did otherwise

"Talky, Shmalky. I wanna see you dance. Come on. Come on, I know. I know this is your jam" H pulled Vungus up his seat and started dragging him. You stood up way to quickly, now you felt dizzy, but discarded it

You took a hold of H and Vungus' arm

"H, you should listen to what Vungus will say" you said but H had other plans

Patting your shoulder he said"Have a little fun, X. Like the old times"

"This is something seri--" you got cut off by H dragging Vungus

"Get outta here and dance. M, come on" you slapped yourself at his stubbornness

"Oh, no. I'm just gonna.. I like to butt-dance" denied, M. And starting grinding her ass against the couch

"Yeah! I'll do butt-dance too!" You shouted at H as you slumped back down the couch

You look back to H, who is dancing like a mad man. Mentally cringing at his moves, you thought,  how you were still alive after all those years being partners with him. Plus, on how you managed to fall for him

All you can do was hope nothing bad happens

Nevermind. Something bad is happening.

' I really should learn how to shut up and not jinx things ' 

M noticed two tall dark skinned people with brown-gray-ish clothes

She  tapped you thigh in alert as she started standing up, still having her eyes on the suspicious twins

"What" you asked, looking around the club but soon stopping where her eyes zeroed to

"I'm sensing danger" you said as M pulled on your hand, leading you both to where H and Vungus stood

"H?" You called the dancing and grinning mad man

"At your twelve""Twelve o'clock" You and M said to him but not looking at him to avoid looking suspicious

What he said definitely made you think ' yep. He's the idiot '

"It is. Night is young. Woo-hoo!" You let out a surprised squeal when he grabbed your hand and twirled you like a sweet Royal Queen. He left his hand on your hip

"Listen to me, H" Vungus pleaded the Agent

"H! Come to your senses!" You scolded him when you saw he wasn't listening. You nodded at Vungus to continue, silently thanking you

"You both are the only ones Vungus trusts" Vungus held both of H's arm using his left hand, while he did with yours by using his right

"Well, feelings mutual" H said, giving Vungus a little smile

"What's wrong, Vungus?" You asked, getting concerned with the whole thing

You and H looked down to see his arms glowing purple

Vungus stared at H as if..pitying him

"What happened to you?" Vungus said

"Nothing. What happened to you ?" H removed his arm from Vungus'

" Relax. You're too serious" H turned around and continued dancing

You sighed at his acts. You had to agree with Vungus. ' what happened to him? '

Vungus turned to you while his arm that kept ahold of yours, started glowing like what happened to H

" I can only trust you now, X. Help H. Change him back to who he was" Vungus pleaded, looking sincerely into your soul

With a determined nod you smiled at him

" It's an honor for you trust me, Vungus. Although, I think it would be hard to change H" you said

"Little steps, X. Little steps" with that, M pinched both, your's and H's arm making you two jump

"X! H!" M hissed

"Ouch! What was that for?" you groaned as you rubbed your pinched arm

M pointed the men you saw earlier. H towered most of the people at this club, with his height. You being two inches shorter than him, you didn't find it hard to not spot the men

Just then, Vungus started groaning and falling onto his guard's arms

"Vungus!" You exclaimed

"You alright, buddy? What's wrong? You don't look so good"

"Vungus not feel so good" he said his head spinning

"Vodka cranberry sure pack a punch" H commented.

While H was talking the collapsing Vungus, you turned around to see the mysterious men. But this time, seeing their eyes glow blue. M, who was beside you the entire time, let out an exhale when they turned around and away from them

"The danger you sensed back there? You sensed it correctly" M said as you both went back to H

"Let's get his car and get him out of here"

You offered to help him to his car so you took his right arm and wrapped it around your shoulder, M following at the back

Walking out the club and walking Vungus go to his car

"Alright, get you off to bed. Let's get you in here" H groaned, while he opened the door to Vungus' car

"In you go, Vungus. Careful" you added as you tucked him comfortably in his car

" Now sleep it off, okay? We'll speak to you in the morning. Hydrate" H advised as he closed the door

"Okay, now that's done. Let's talk about what happened inside" you started, you three began walking with H and M on your left and right

"Shouldn't we call it in?" M suggested

"Hell no""Oh, God, no"

H and X groaned out

"For once I agree with you, H" you admitted

"The paperwork is a nightmare" H said, slicing the air as a sign for a big " NO "

"It is. There was one time I called in a mission, I had to spend 72 hours working with no sleep" you cried out, once again remembering the slow and painful days you had

"But Vungus didn't look too good. He didn't look too good before, but. " M countered, you just hummed to not let out a laugh because of her last sentence

Don't wanna make it sound offensive

"Nah. We've seen him way worse than that" you shrugged, still walking through the streets

"Trust us, it's not a good sight. One time, we saw him taking a bath wearing his Grandma's panties" H reminisced making you laugh loud

"That was so horrible! I nearly had H to neuralyze me that time" M joined the laugh, imagining how Vungus looked

"There was also this one time in Istanbul--"H was cut off by a loud crash

You looked to see a car fly and land on a building. Not just any car, but the car where Vungus is in.
