Chapter Two

Entering inside the HQ, you asked the agent on the table who was typing away on her computer

"Excuse me?" You gently tapped her desk as you grab ahold of your glasses and put in inside my suit's pocket

The lady on the desk looked up with a scowl

' oh dear, what a nice greeting '

"Yes?" she said a little too harsh for your liking

"Where is Agent O?" you just wanted to visit her as it has been quite awhile since the last you saw her

"She's dealing with an intruder at the moment, Agent X"

"Right. Thanks" with a tight fake smile

Walking through all the halls and elevators, you walk in to see someone inside the glass where they mostly question people intruding

"Oh, who is this?"  you asked as Agent O and an agent turn around to face you. You visibly saw Agent O's face lit up upon seeing your face

"Ah, my favorite Agent. It's been awhile, X"O said as she gently pat your cheeks in a motherly way

"Yes, indeed it has, now who do we have here?" Pointing to the glass to see the woman looking straight through the one-way glass. Left leg on top of the right one, and looking extremely calm for someone falling straight to her doom

"Right!" Agent O turned around and took a look at the gadget that contains her information

You slid beside her to peek on the forms

"Alright, Who is she working for?" Agent O asked to the man beside her

"She claims to be working alone"

" A random civilian simply waltzes in off the high street. I don't think so" Agent O started swiping through the pages of informations

"Well I think that quite cool of her to waltz in, you know" you added sheepishly

Agent O snapped a finger towards you "Not the time, X"

You let out a chuckle at her response

You saw as she stopped momentarily at a page of information and shook her head side to side

Then she made a command to Neuralyze the woman on the other side

"Aw but why? She looks kinda cute" you whined at Agent O

She hit your forehead with the pen she was shaking

"Ow! Mean" you huffed a breath

"This is not a situation where you make an exemption just because you find someone attractive"

You just stayed silent as you watch a bald man with the glasses on holding up a neuralyzer, you held your breath to watch what she would do next

To your surprise the woman in front, looked away

"No, no, no, Don't" as if she knew what it does

"I know what that thing is"

' oh she does '

"Please" she pleaded

"Hm, that's new, Agent O" you muttered out

"Hang on, hang on" Agent O said on the speaker

The man inside the glass pulled away the neuralyzer

"She had an experience" the one beside Agent O said

"Obviously, how would she know what that is if she didn't have experience" you said as you hear the woman talk

"It erased my parent's memories but it didn't take mine, so my whole life everyone called me 'crazy'

They said I needed therapy. Which, okay, admittedly, I did, but not for this"

"Aww poor her" you cooed. It must've been miserable knowing other people might've called her a freak for seeing something no other people can witness

"Shut up for a second, Agent X" Agent O sighed, getting fed up with her unnecessary commentaries

She turned to to the man beside her "Did she really hack into the Hubble Telescope to look at Andromenda II, and we didn't catch her?"

"That's enough proof she's talented, Agent O. We can recruit her" you said, wanting to see and know more of the mysterious woman

' I really need to know her name and not just call her 'someone'  ' you thought

"That's nonsense" O responded with a sigh

"In the old days, we'd have hired her" the man said

"See? Even he agrees with me" Agent O turned to you

" Well it was in the past, it's different now " she argued resulting you to groan

"It took me twenty years to find you, plus or minus" Molly said. While talking with Agent O about recruiting her, you read her information form and saw her name, so why not start calling her that

You hummed at what she said. Twenty years is a long time, she'd congrats her determination

"How many people can say that?" you see she's starting to gain her confidence as her voice started to sound louder

She started leaning forward with a blank confident face

"I found you"

"Well that's not creepy at all" your hair on your neck stood the moment she said that

Agent O sighed. Once again. " You watch too much horror movies "

She came into a decision to go inside

"I'll go with you" you said

"No" Agent O pointed to the ground like commanding a dog to 'sit'

You, being the stubborn one, didn't take no for an answer so you followed behind her

"You know me well to not listen to you" then skipped to the opened door

The man left behind whispered "I swear sometimes they look like Mother and Daughter" then he mentally slapped his face

Agent O signalled the man inside to go out as you take his place and slightly smiling at the shocked Molly, not really expecting any people to come inside and talk to her face to face

"So you found us. You proved you're not crazy"

"She earned the ' I'm not Crazy ' badge" you whispered lowly

" You win the ' I'm not Crazy badge '. Now, what " you mentally smile at Agent O's statement

"I want in" Molly said with her back straight, sitting like a professional

"Sweet, we don't hire, we recruit" you spoke up

Agent O point at you as if saying 'yeah-what-she-said'

"Then I'd like to be recruited" Molly stated

"I'm going to need more" Agent O said strictly as she started to circle the woman on the seat

"Give reasons on why you want to be recruited" you helped her as she looked at you with a slight nod and diverted her eyes on Agent O circling her like a prey

"Because I'm smart"

Agent O raised a brow, letting her continue

"I'm motivated"

"I look good in black" as she said that you let out a chuckle

"Good one. I'd give you a point to that" you said as Agent O looked at you and back at Molly

"I'm--" she was cut off by Agent O

"You're boring me" she started walking around and the moment she stood infront of the door, beside me, she halted because of Molly's words

"Because I have absolutely no life whatsoever" that happened to make Agent O consider recruiting her

"I have nothing. I have no dog. have no cat. And definitely no chill" you thought that why not gift her a dog or cat someday, when she gets recruited

"I have nothing that I couldn't happily walk away from, which makes me perfect for this job"

"Your life is tragic" you accidentally blurted out as the two looked at you

"Indeed, her life is. No love? No relationships?" Agent O asked but getting a shook of a head in every single one

"They just distract you of what's important"

"What is important, exactly?" You wanted to know her answer

" The truth of the universe. I wanna know everything. I wanna know how it all works" You mentally smirked

"Very well" you nodded to Agent O

"You really think a black suit is going solve all your problems?" Agent O countered

"Hmm. No, but it looks damn good on you" She smiled at Agent O as you gently pat her shoulders knowing she succeeded on getting recruited

"That's true"

With a wink at Molly, you followed Agent O out the room

You followed Agent O to her office and looking over the computer to see

Agent O looked up to you and you smiled in triumph

"She has potential, Agent O" you reasoned

"I'm now regretting that I accepted you" as she said that your smile widened

"Yeah, right. You do. But, I'm your favorite"

"I'm regretting saying that too"
