11. Tests

03:39, 23 June 2016

Dean always found himself to be thinking about Castiel. It didn't matter what was going on around him, he was just always there.

People were becoming slightly suspicious about the two of them, seeing as they would ask the two of them very ominous questions.

"Have you thought about dating someone yet?" And "rumor says there's a few people who admire you...."

But Dean would generally ignore it all and wonder when their busy schedules could correspond so they could see each other.

One more day of test taking and everyone would be free for the Holidays.

Sam had also been calling every night like he was told. He was still a little down about what happened with Gabriel, but he was getting better.

He was almost finished with his last test for the day when Castiel came in.

Dean had learned he helped in the office and would sometimes bring in papers or excuse slips for people to leave classes.

Seeing Cas made him feel better, even if it were only for a few minutes.

Castiel set the stack of papers on the professor's desk, and nodded his head as the professor murmured his thank you.

He turned around and saw Dean, at which Dean winked back and he watched as Cas' face turned a bright red and he hurried out of the room.

Dean chuckled to himself. It was nice to know how easily he could set Cas off.

A little while later he finished his test and was allowed to leave the class, which meant he had a much longer afternoon than he expected.

He figured Castiel was already done, and was about to text him when his phone started vibrating a lot.

Sam.

It wasn't time for him to call.

Dean ran the short distance to his dorm, Garth obviously still in a test, and answered the phone.

"Dean!" Sam sounded really happy.

This isn't what he expected. "Yes, Sam?"

He could hear him and someone else laughing in the back. "Sam, I don't-"

"Me and Gabriel are back!" Sam exclaimed.

"Gabriel!?" Dean was instantly mad. "I thought you guys broke up."

"We did, but he said he missed me too much and that he was stupid and really sorry he treated me the way he did."

Dean didn't know what to say.

"Well, you're probably busy so I'm going to go. Bye, Dee!"

"Bye Dee!" Came Gabriel's voice, and then the line went dead.

That wasn't what he expected.

He dropped the phone like it had burned to his touch and stared at it laying face up on the bed. He was going to be spending part of his break with Gabriel.

The phone started ringing again with Sam's number so he picked it up.

"Hey, sorry. Gabriel hung up when I wasn't ready. I was going to ask if you wanted to bring this 'Castiel' with you. You know, since Gabriel would also be here."

Dean thought for a second. At least he would have Castiel. "Yeah. That sounds good. Bye, Sammy."

"Bye!" And the line went dead again.

He stared at the phone until he remembered what he was doing. Texting Castiel.

He found the unfinished message and read it over. After he approved it, he watched it as it said it was sent.

A second later, Castiel responded. "On my way"

---Castiel appeared a minute later, surprising Dean because they lived on other ends of campus.

Castiel was slightly out of breath as he walked in and sat down in Dean's chair.

"What is the emergency?" He asked.

"Well, it's not really an 'emergency'," Dean played with the hem of his leather jacket. "I just wanted to ask if you wanted to come with me over the Christmas break. My brother would love to meet you and since he has his boyfriend, he thought it would be fun."

Castiel thought for a minute. "Well, I didn't really have any plans. I'll go with you." He nodded at the thought.

Dean smiled. "Thank you, Cas."

They sat there in the quiet for a while, looking anywhere but each other. Dean hadn't even realized Castiel had gotten up and walked the short distance to where he sat on the bed.

Dean looked up at Castiel.

"Angel" was all the kept repeating in his head.

He pulled Castiel a little closer by the front of his trench coat and stood up to meet him.

They kissed, Castiel's warm, soft lips against Dean's.

Castiel reached his arms up and tangled his fingers in Dean's hair, eventually resting his hands on the back of his neck.

Dean slowly slid his trench coat off his shoulders, and watched as Castiel pulled it off him completely. He did the same with his own leather jacket.

Dean's lips brushed the edges of Castiel's, eventually landing by his ear. He pulled him as close as he could and rested his hands on Castiel's hips.

Cas had his arms around Dean's neck, his fingers digging into the back of his shirt.

Dean kissed along his jawline, nipping lightly as he did it. Castiel hummed lightly as he did.

Dean reached up and undid the tie from around his neck and threw it on the floor beside his trench coat. He undid the top button of his shirt and kissed and nipped at his neck while Castiel held Dean closer and tighter to him.

Castiel's shirt came untucked and Dean slid his hands under, feeling Castiel's stomach lurch to his touch. Cas turned his head and kissed him while he explored Cas' chest and back.

Somehow, Castiel's hands began doing the same and soon they were tangled together.

Dean decided to play with Castiel a bit.

Instead of kissing him again when Castiel met him, he nipped and played with his lower lip which turned Cas a bright red. Eventually he got used to it because he pressed Dean to do it more, their hands still searching for a place on their backs, stomachs, and chests.

(*for the sake of not posting, I'll let this go a little deeper because I have plans. So if you don't feel comfortable reading certain things, just skip to the next bold part.)

Dean pressed Castiel up against the wall, and while he was a little surprised, Dean took that as an advantage and fully slid his tongue in Castiel's mouth.

Castiel's eyes flew open and dug his fingernails deep into Dean's sides so he wouldn't stop. Dean grunted slightly at the pain his fingernails were bringing, but continued to playing with Cas' tongue.

Dean was enjoying this, and wow was he adventuring to do more.

He slowly started unbuttoning Castiel's shirt, still fighting with Cas over who gets dominance with their tongue.

He felt the shirt go free and put his hands back on Castiel's hips, holding him as tightly as he could to him.

He detached himself from Cas' mouth and kissed and nipped at his neck and collarbone, pushing the shirt more slightly off his shoulders each time.

Eventually it slid off, and Castiel looked at Dean, his face red. He continued to kiss his collarbone, but also his chest at which Castiel hummed quietly. Dean fingers dug under the top of Castiel's pants, and could feel him shake.

They both were panting against each other's faces, and they both were about to kiss again when there was a knock at the door.

It startled them both, but with Castiel's nerves already strung out, he freaked.

(*here's pretty much the end of that scene. It wasn't really too bad so if you want to go back and read, you can!)

They both scrambled to put their missing articles of clothes back on and tidy themselves when the knocking came again.

When Dean saw Castiel tidy and sitting back in the chair, trying to look interested in one of Dean's school books, he opened the door.

"Garth." Dean almost growled.

"I just finished with my day of testing!" He looked around Dean and saw Castiel reading over a book. "We're you both studying?"

Dean cleared his throat. Yeah "studying."

"Wait, why didn't you let yourself in?" Despite this question, Dean was glad he hadn't.

"I left my key, remember?" He walked past Dean and picked it up from his bedside table.

Dean nodded, still seeing Castiel's face was flushed, and feeling his own was too.

Eventually the three of them ended up studying together, even though it was clear Castiel hadn't really planned on it either.

*N/A: so, I don't know if this being such a lengthy chapter is a good or bad thing, but I thought I'd make it up to all of you since I haven't been in the position to really write anything. I hope this chapter is alright!
