Dean stayed home for a few days with Sam. He needed to make sure his little brother was alright.

Sam wouldn't talk much, and when he did, he sounded terrible. Dean didn't know what he could do, so he left him alone and only made sure he had what he needed and ate enough.

Dean was frying some bacon as he heard footsteps come down the stairs."Sam?" He asked. He felt arms wrap around him and a face press into his back. He twisted around and wrapped his arms around his little brother's shoulders. "I've got you."

Sam was shaking. Dean tilted his head upward so he could see Sam's face.

His hair was stuck to his forehead and his face was wet with tears. Dean wiped the tears off his face and brushed Sam's hair back. "It's okay."

Sam his his face in Dean's shirt again. "Dee... I'm so sorry."

Dean laughed a little. "What are you sorry about?"

"Before you left for college... I should have listened to you. I shouldn't have let you go yet."

Dean was heartbroken. "Sammy... It wasn't your fault. I'm sorry for getting mad at you."

Sam looked at him. "I deserved it. I was stupid. I should have listened and I didn't, and I was just being-"

Dean heard enough. He was mad, and Sam needed to let it go. They were there for each other now. "SAM!" He gave his little brother a hard look. "Let it go. That is in the past. I'm here for you now!"

Sam nodded and looked at Dean. "You're right, you're right." He sat down at the table.

Dean finished cooking the rest of the pancakes and set their breakfast on the table. There was eggs, bacon, and pancakes. He watched Sam and made sure he ate enough before he started eating.

"Dean this is really good." Sam said in between mouthfuls of pancake.

"Dude. Slow down." Dean raised an eyebrow as he watched Sam shove half another pancake in his mouth.

"Sorry. I'm just really hungry..."

"Well isn't that obvious..." Dean finished his breakfast and cleaned up the table after Sam was done.

They watches tv shows and old movies for a while. At lunch, Dean took them to a restaurant where they both finally had time to catch up on what had happened while Dean was in college.

Sam was doing great in all his classes, actual has the top grade, which wasn't really a surprise to Dean. He was proud of his super smart brother. Sam did pretty much avoid the part with Gabriel, but told him that he didn't like what he did and he tried to tell Gabriel, and he got mad at him and that's when they broke up.

Dean told Sam about college and his new friends, and the party he went to.

"That's it? You went, had a few drinks, and then left?" Sam shook his head "No I don't believe it."

"That's the whole story," Dean smiled and put his hands up. "I'm being honest."

But Sam pushed him further. "No... Something definitely did happen there." He watched Dean while he stared back at him. "You found a girl, didn't you?"

Well Sam was close, but completely far.

"Actually, no. I did not." Dean became serious, and Sam saw the change so he became serious too.

"Dean."

"What Sam?"

"What happened there? If it's something bad then-"

"No. No! It's nothing like that. Actually, it was good." Dean smiled down at his plate. It was actually amazing.

"You know, you can tell me." Sam watched him.

The thing is, Dean didn't want to. His brother was just broken up and Dean just possibly found someone. "I don't know if you want to hear."

"Well, now I'm dying to know."

"Well, I met a guy..."

"No. No way!" Sam grinned. "What's he like!"

Dean became a little embarrassed. "Well, he has dark hair and beautiful bright blue eyes. And he wears a suit with a dark blue tie and a trench coat..." What Dean was explaining, really did not do Castiel justice.

"He sounds great! What's his name?"

Dean blushed and looked down at his plate again. "It's Castiel."

Sam kept pressing him about what happened that night but Dean kept it at pretty much nothing. They left a little while later.

When they got home they continued to watch movies until it got late and Sam fell asleep.

Dean turned the tv off and carried Sam upstairs. It was a little more awkward because Sam was getting taller and Dean had finished a while ago.

He laid his little brother in his bed and went to his room. He stared up at his ceiling until he fell asleep.

Dean was woken around midnight to Sam shaking his shoulder. "Sam," Dean grunted. "What do you want?"

"Can I... Can I sleep with you? I had a nightmare."

Dean moved over for him. Sam hadn't asked to sleep with him since he was really young. "Yeah."

Sam climbed in beside him and immediately fell asleep.

Dean pulled the blankets up to make sure his brother was warm and looked at him.

He had to leave in the morning, which he wasn't happy about.

But looking at Sam, for once, he finally felt like he was completely at home.
