Chapter 45

Day of Seungcheol birthday

Because it was a Saturday both me and Seungcheol don't work today. I just woke up from my nap and It was already 5.

Me and everyone decided to throw a small birthday party for Seungcheol but we need a reason get him out of the house to decorate.

I started texting the group chat with everyone in it.

Jeonghan So how are we doing this Hayoung

Hayoung I don't know. Maybe we can have Seungcheol father call him and say he have soemthing important to tell him?

Hoshi That's a good idea. Seungcheol will most likely go to his house if his father calls for him!

Joshua Okay I'll call Mr. Choi

Okay thank you Joshua. see y'all soon!

I turned off my phone and walked downstairs.

I see Seungcheol oppa in the living on his phone before getting a call.

I smiled knowing it's Mr. Choi.

"Okay. I'll come over right now" he said ending the calls Rn fixing his pants. He looked up and see me on the stairs.

"You're up" he said

"Yeah. What's wrong" I asked acting like I don't know anything.

"My dad just called me and told me he need to talk to me. So I'll have to go over there now" he said

"Really? Okay hope everything is okay. I won't be home until late because my mom said seoyoen wants to hang out with me because it's been forever" I said

He patted my head.

"No worries. Let me know when you're home then. Ima go get ready" he said walking up stairs.

I reach for my phone in my pocket and texted the groupchat.

Hayoung     He's leaving soon. Be sure to get everything ready. That includes the decoration and food!

Woozi    Got it Hayoung. Do not worry one bit.

I looked up and see Seungcheol all ready to leave.

"I'll see you later Hayoung" he said

"See you" I said

He left the house and drove away in his car.

I prepared to bake Seungcheol his cake.

I followed the instructions online but before I can start the door bell ring.

I paused nervously.

"What if it's Seungcheol oppa coming back for soemthing" I said to myself

"HAYOUNG!!! OPEN ITS US" Mingyu yelled

I sigh.

I took off my apron and walked to the front door.

I unlocked the front door and everyone ran in.

"Ummm what happened" I asked

"Nothing we saw Seungcheol hyung drive out the drive way and got scared he might had saw us" Vernon said breathing in heavily.

"I'm sure he didn't. I think he is clueless about eveything so we have about 2 hours to decorate and make the food!" I said excitedly

"LET GET IT STARTED" everyone said fisting their fist in the air.

Me, Mingyu, Dk, Woozi, The8, Dino and Seungkwan were on cooking team so we decided on Japchae, Kimchi stew, Bulgogi.

Jeonghan, Joshua, Wonwoo, Hoshi, Jun and Vernon was busy decorating the living room with ribbons and all fun stuff.

"We have some side dishes in the fridge Seungkwan" I said

"Okay"

I was cutting the beef up to slices for the bulgogi with the help of Woozi who was cutting the vegetables.

An hour and a half came by and we were almost finish cooking. Decoration team have any already finish and is helping setting up the food.

Everyone was enjoying the time being together. They were talking to one other like they haven't seen each other's in years.

I placed the last spoon on the table when my phone went off.

I turned on my phone and it was a message from Seungcheol oppa. Suddenly Seungcheol called me.

"Seungcheol is calling me! Everyone quiet!" I said

Everyone stop talking and held their breathe.

I breathe in and slowly out and answer the call.

"Hello" I said

"Hayoung? Were you busy"

"Ani. I'm at mom house because I was getting bored and mom told me to come over"

"I see. Would you like me to pick you up on the way home from work?"

"Ani. Mom said she'll have her driver take me home. I'll see you at home okay?"

"Okay"

Then I ended the call.

"Seungcheol oppa is coming home! Everything ready?"

"YES!!"

I placed the cake in the middle of the table and make sure everything was ready.

"I heard a car pulling up to the driveway" Jun said.

"Everyone hid" Mingyu said before running to the front door and turning off the lights.

I ran to the hide in front of the couch with The8 and Joshua next to me while everyone else is somewhere in the house.

We hid in the dark before hearing Seungcheol rusting with the house keys.

Once he manage to opened the door and turned on the lights...

"SURPRISE!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!" We all shouted while getting up from our hiding spot.

Seungcheol oppa looked at all of us in shocked.

"What is all this" he said closing the door and taking off his coat.

"A birthday party hyung" Dk said walking up to Seungcheol and grabbing him by the wrist.

"It was all Hayoung idea" Dino said pointing to me.

I smiled shyly while looking at Seungcheol.

He smiled back.

"Thank you all so much. I was so busy I forgot it was my own birthday" he chuckled

We all chuckled back with him.

"Well hyung, I hope your hungry because we cooked a lot" Joshua said swing his arm around his neck.

"I sure am. Let's eat" Seungcheol oppa said

Everyone ran inside the kitchen leaving me and Seungcheol alone in the living room.

"Hayoung" he said

I walked over to Seungcheol.

"Thank you" he said pulling me into a hug.

I hugged him back.

"It's your first birthday as a married couple. It have to be special somehow" I said back.

He let go of the hug and kiss me on my forehead. We stared at each other for a second before hearing loud voices coming from the kitchen.

"HYUNG! HAYOUNG! HURRY BEFORE THE FOOD IS GONE"

We looked at each other and chuckled. Seungcheol held me hand and drag me into the kitchen.

After eating and singing happy birthday we all gathered into the living room to give Seungcheol his birthday gift.I sat next to Seungcheol as we all gave him his gift.

I was the last one to hand him his gift.

"You really didn't have to Hayoung" he said grabbing the gift box.

"It's your birthday oppa. I had to get you something even do it's not much" I said

Seungcheol smiled at me and carefully untie the ribbon and opened the box.

He was shocked.

"Hayoung" he said looking at me.

I smiled back.

He lift up his gift. It was a blue and gold suit.

He lift up the suit and admired the color.

"I love the color" The8 said.

"It so you hyung" Seungkwan said.

Seungcheol was about to place the suit down but stop when he notice an envelope.

"There's more?" He said

"Yea. It's not much though" I said

"The suit was already enough"

He grab the envelope and opened it.

It was two plane ticket and a book resort.

He looked at me stunned.

"What is this?" He asked

"I booked us a week vacation to the beach. It is filled with fancy restaurants and many fun things to do" I explain to him.

Seungcheol placed his gift down and lifted me up into a hug.

I was shocked with his sudden hug so I wrap my arms around his neck and chuckled.

"I love the gift!" He said happily.

"I'm glad you love it" I said back

He put me down and held my hand.

"Guess our gift was useless" Hoshi said fake crying.

"Stop it guys! I love all your gifts too" he said "thank you guys so much for today. I am truly blessed with amazing people who I can call my family"

Everyone started to fake puke but they all left it out.

I looked at our hand as it was still interlock.

I smiled to myself.

"Sleepover!" Dino and Seungkwan said together.

We enjoy the night watching movies and playing board games.
