Mind Games

Scott's POV: 

Yoko and I heard the gunshots from behind. We quickly turned around.

I gasped at the sight in front of me.

Julia's been shot. 

I ran towards Julia as I screamed loudly.

John knelt beside Julia as he picked her up.

An ambulance arrived not long after. 

A paramedic took Julia away from John, I ran towards the vehicle.

"Please, Please! She's my wife!" I cried.

The paramedic dragged me onto the ambulance quickly as they drove off.

I rushed beside Julia as the paramedics tried to keep her alive.

"Baby? Julia? Please?" I cried, moving her little swirl away from her eyes.

Julia groaned as she looked at me. "Scott..?" She softly said.

"Oh god, Julia!" I cried.

"Please, don't leave me, baby!" I held onto her hand tightly.

She let out a small smile, "Scott.." She said again, looking at me with tired eyes.

I cried harder, "Ya promise ya wouldn't leave!" I sobbed.

Julia stroked my hand, "I'll always be with ya.. Just promise me one thing, love." She weakly said.

My heart broke a little as she called me love.

"Yes, Jules?" I sniffled.

"Don't neglect Emily.." She whispered as she started to close her eyes.

I bit my lip as more tears fell.

"WE'RE LOOSING HER!" The paramedic yelled as he gently pushed me away so they could work on her.

I watched them try to revive her as I curled into a ball and started to cry.

I slouched down on the hallway chair as I waited for John and Yoko to arrive.

I looked to my right, seeing John and Yoko run towards me.

I stared at them blankly. I don't feel like facing people yet... I don't feel like facing people at all..

"SCOTT!" John called, running up to me.

He stared at me.

"What happened?" He asked.

I glared at him, "What the 'ell do ya mean 'what 'appened'? YA WERE THERE!" I shouted, feeling the anger come over me.

"I-I know, Scott! B-But everything happened so fast! I-"

I jumped up from my seat, "Well, 'ere is what 'appened.... YER OWN DAUGHTER FUCKIN' TOOK A BULLET FOR YA!" I shouted.

Yoko stood beside John, "Scott-"

"SHUT UP, YOKO!" I yelled.

"JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!" I shouted, feeling hot tears fall from my eyes.

John stared at me.

"BECAUSE OF YA, MY WIFE AND BABY BOY IS DEAD!" I started crying.

"Dead!" I sobbed, falling to my knees.

I saw John tense up.

"S-She was pregnant?" He softly said.

I looked up at him as he helped me up.

"Yeah!" I spat at him.

"If only ya 'ad a bodyguard this wouldn't 'ave 'appened!" I cried.

"She, Julia would've been 'ere, pregnant and 'appy! But ya just couldn't play it safe!" I sobbed.

"Well, DAMN YA!" I shouted.

My fist weakly pounded on John's shoulder.

"Damn ya.." I cried harder.

"W-Why didn't she tell me?" John said, surprised.

"Because of the way ya reacted before. Ya were so against us, why the 'ell was that? Look where yer life brought her.. Death." I spat at him.

John gulped. 

"Now both of yer Julia's are gone, thanks to ya!" I lowly said.

John clenched his fists as he tackled me on the ground.

"YOU FUCKER! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL MY LIFE HAS BEEN LIKE!" He said, punching me.

I kicked John as I punched him back, "WELL LOOK WHERE IT BROUGHT YA! EMILY ISN'T EVEN TWO YET AND HER MUM IS DEAD!" I shouted.

I felt arms pull me off of John.

"Sir, are you going to have to leave?" The policeman asked.

I shook my head, "No, sir." I said.

The policeman sighed as he let me go.

" 'Ow the 'ell am I supposed to explain that to 'er?!" I cried.

"Ya may 'ave lost yer parents at a young age, but so did Julia and now so did Emily." I said, stomping my foot onto the ground.

John gulped as he stared at me.

"C-Can I see her?" He softly said.

I squinted my eyes at him, "No.. They placed her body in a bag. Besides, she's naked." I said, cracking my fingers.

John sighed.

"There isn't anything we can do now.. I'm sure Julia wouldn't want a funeral either. She would want a celebration of 'er life." I said, looking at Yoko and John.

"B-But I can't even think about that." I said, covering my face as I started to cry again.

"I don't want Emily to know. I'll tell 'er when I'm ready." I gulped.

John nodded, his body tensed up again.

"John, how about w-"

"No, Yoko. I-I just need some time.." He said, sitting across from me.

Yoko sighed.

I looked at her, "Does Sydney and Steven know?"

Yoko nodded, "They are watching the news, because it's all over the news.."

I slowly nodded, "Got it.." I mumbled.

I slouched back down onto the chair as I looked up.

Julia Lennon,

Wherever ya are... I miss you already and I love you and the baby so much.

I promise I won't neglect Emily. I promise...

Just don't leave my side, love..
