6. telephone

I strutted into that choir room with a large trenchcoat on. I saw Santana, who was wearing one as well. Because...we had changed our duets number to something more risqué. We texted about it all night long. And though we haven't practiced it yet, we know it's going to be the best performance these people have ever seen in their. entire. lives.

But I noticed something different about the energy in the classroom. Something that made me feel a little queasy. Quinn and Finn.

They sat in the back of the classroom, instead of the drum set. They sat next to eachother. Their chairs weren't close, they were pushed apart enough to where you just knew that they were fighting. Both of them had sad faces on.

But whatever I was seeing, I stopped seeing, because Mr. Shue started his lesson. "This is going by way quicker than expected, wow. Okay," he clapped his hands together and pointed his dry erase marker at Puck and Brittany "it is time for your guys' duet!"

Everyone cheered as both of them got up. Santana clapped, and I was reading her face. It looked like she had moved on. She gave a smile, but not an 'i miss you' smile. Not a 'i am so mad at you' smile. (Wouldn't know why she would give that smile to her) But she gave a nice smile. It made me smile, too.

Music started playing, and I swivelled my head around to see Puck and Britt dancing. Puck wasn't a bad dancer to be honest. But when beside Brittany, he looked awful. They sang the song 'OMG' by Usher. The singing was definitely rough. Both of them didn't have strong voices, but together, it made an awful sounding masterpiece.

The song came to a stop, and a big roar came across the room. Everyone cheering and giving big applauses. Santana clapped. Brittany looked at her, and gave a cute smile, only showing her lips.

Mr. Shue got infront of the class again, and started speaking about their performance. Meanwhile, my attention was drawn towards the fugly couple, Fuinn. Except that they were two of the best looking people in the universe. No wonder Finn likes her. She's prettier than I am, that's for sure. I saw them give eachother a sad glance, then turn away again. They looked mad at eachother. Was it something I had done? Who knows. But one thing I know for sure, is this: I was staring at him and Quinn, both doing the silent treatment, when I saw him look at me. My eyes widened in shock, and I turned away, acting like nothing just happened. Crap, he definitely saw me do that.

"Finn and Quinn?-" Mr. Shue said, but got cut off by Santana.

"Could we go next, Mr. Shue?"

He paused and then spoke. "Sure." He laughed afterwards, and walked off to a stool near the piano. Santana and I got up infront of the class. I couldn't tell if Finn or Quinn were clapping, because our backs were faced to the audience. We discussed the entire choreography on text message the whole weekend, and we were ready to blow everyone's minds. Sorry Quinn Fabray, you and Finn will have to come in SECOND place this duets competition.

Our performance was grand. We had big trenchcoats on, being all slouchy and crappy looking, when the song 'Telephone' by Beyoncé and Lady Gaga started to play. Our backs still turned to the audience, we dropped our coats down onto the ground, then turned around to sing.

We revealed our outfits. Mouths dropped to the floor. Quinn still looked pissed. For whatever reason. She had her arms crossed and was fidgeting in her seat. She couldn't sit still. And once the performance ended, the classroom clapped louder than the 4th of July Parade in New York. It was wonderful. Santana and I gave a small and short hug, then went back to our seats.

Mr. Shue, who was amazed by the performance, got up to speak. He was then interrupted by Sue Sylvester, who was principal at our school. I think? I'm not sure anymore. She changes from principal to cheer coach every other week. "William. My office. NOW!" She said, not even entering the room, but standing at the door. Mr. Shue exited the classroom, and everyone started talking.

Finn and Quinn were still pissed off, and more and more people had started to notice, too.

"Okay what on earths name is going on with you two?" Puck asked them. Little did he know, one of the most craziest fights were about to happen.

(This is such a terrible chapter I apologize)
