blanket
06:44, 2 May 2016All of us somehow managed to squish into my mom's minivan on the way back home.
My mom suggested that we all go to my house, so she could make dinner for everybody as a sign of gratitude for staying with me all day at the hospital.
Kyle was sitting beside me, and my eyes rolled to the back of my head.
I wonder what he's thinking. Does he still have feelings for me? I'm over it. I hate being lied to. And yes, I might have kissed Johnnie while I was still with him, but I didn't VOLUNTARILY go on a date with him, like he did with Alex. What he did was unacceptable, and I refuse to devote the rest of my life to someone who can't give me the same amount of respect and love that I give them.
I could smell his cologne.
My favorite scent.
Or what used to be.
I didn't notice that we had arrived at my house already, the ride seemed very short.
I let everyone get off of the minivan first before I tried to hop off.
Kyle extended his hand out to me for help.
"No thank you." I politely declined.
I refuse to let you help me, you've done enough.
I somehow manage to get off of the minivan without falling. I slowly walked my way inside of the house. I was holding my favorite purple blanket.
I felt a little nauseous and dizzy, but it's only because of the operation, it was normal.
Once inside, I wanted to go up to my room to change.
I found it difficult to go up the stairs while holding the blanket and trying to hold myself up at the same time.
Noticing my struggle, Kyle asked me if I needed help again.
"You want me to walk you up? I can hold your blanket if you want?"
"No, thank you." I threw my blanket as far as I could, but it only landed on the twelfth step.
Great.
I stared making my way up the steps. I felt extremely dizzy, but refused to give up. I walked up the steps, and then, I felt my body falling.
I had tripped on my favorite blanket.
I tripped because I refused Kyle's help.
I felt my body hit all of the steps on the way down.
Suddenly, I couldn't feel anything anymore, of see anything anymore.
All I heard were feet shuffling all around me and shrieking voices.
And then I heard nothing.
Nothing at all.
