Our story

"Hey!" Kyle tells me as he walks into History class.

"Um... hi." I say. I don't know if we're on good terms or not. The last time I spoke this him was last week, when he made fun of me for liking him and then was gone when I woke up from my nap at Shannon's.

"Don't feel like talking, huh?" He replies back in a sarcastic tone.

"Not really." I saw back, just as sarcastically.

"Okay Imogen, what is the problem?"

"What do you mean, "what's the problem?" YOU KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS!"

"Imogen, I don't know what you're talking about..."

"Oh really? "Oh Kyle, I love you! Gasp, don't take off my mask! HahahaHA" DON'T YOU DARE TELL ME THAT THAT DOESN'T RING A BELL."

"Oh, that? It was nothing, just a simple joke I guess."

"Just a simple joke? Wow. Kyle, my feelings aren't a joke! I get it, you don't like me. I don't blame you! But did you really have to make fun of me?"

"You're over exaggerating this, Imogen."

"Not even!"

"Yeah, ya kinda are."

"Whatever, I don't have time to argue with immature people."

"Oh me? I'm the immature one? You're the one that couldn't gather the courage to come up to me and tell me that you liked me. You had to do it behind a stupid mask."

"I'm done with you, Kyle. Leave me alone."

"Fine."

"You know what? I idolized you. I worshiped you. I would've done anything you asked of me. Your YouTube videos used to make me feel happy, now they make me want to throw up. You'll be glad to hear that I don't have any feelings for you anymore. I'm not the stupid little girl you think I am. I am much, much more than that. You know, it's not nice to pretend to be something that you're not on the internet. I really am done with you. All of you. Your stupid YouTube videos, your merch, your texting, your calls, you in general. Thank you for giving me the reality check that true happiness does not exist. That you may think you're happy one moment and then it's suddenly gone in a flash the next. So thank you, and goodbye."

I'm the back of my mind, I knew that our story wasn't over. It was just beginning.
