Pierce The Veil

08:27, 12 July 2015

"Kyle David Hall?"

I look up, almost immediately.

"Here."

My eyes find the boy behind the voice right in front of me. My heart begins to race as I begin to realize what's going on. Kyle David Hall is sitting in front of me in History Class.

I bet you're wondering, "how didn't you notice him, Imogen?" Well, I was looking down, remember? I don't remember seeing him walking in, or anyone really, at all.

As I mentioned before; my heart began to race and I started shaking. My inner fangirl was trying to come out, but I was forcing her in. I couldn't embarrass myself in front of Kyle.

It took all my will power, but I managed to sit through the whole 55 minute class without yelling "I LOVE YOU MARRY ME" in Kyle's face. I just didn't want to look stupid in front of him.

"Ring! Ring!"

The bell rang, interrupting my thoughts. I looked up to see Kyle getting out of his chair, picking up his things, and walking out of the class. Not turning around to see me once. I mentally decided that I wasn't going to even try and talk to him. If probably say something stupid and embarrass myself in front of the one person I actually like.

"So, Kyle David Hall is in your history class?" Avery asks me, taking a bite of her Apple. I nod. "Unbelievable." She says with a sigh.

I look at her and roll my eyes playfully. I can't decide what to wear. See, it's Friday, and on Fridays, you can wear whatever you want to school. "Free days" they call it. I decide on some regular denim skinny jeans and my favorite Pierce The Veil shirt: the collide with the sky album shirt.

I forgot to mention it, but I had Kyle for another class. He sat right in front of me in Drama class, too. This is killing me slowly, I swear.

I walk into history to find myself in an empty class. I sit in my usual seat and as soon as I sat down, the jock, blonde girl, and redhead that have been tormenting me all week walk in.

"Hey Amy, look at her!" The redhead tells the blonde.

"Haha look at her shirt!" Amy replies. By this time, most of the students had started to walk in and find their seats. My three tormentors circle around my desk while shouting things at me.

"Pierce The Veil? Hahaha!"

"Of course you would listen to such emo bands!"

"Stupid little scene! If you'd know what's good for you, you'd leave this school!"

"Nobody even likes you."

"You have like no friends."

The bell rang and I silently thanked God. There was no way I could've taken another insult without crying. Everyone started shuffling to their seats as the teacher was walking in. As always, my head was hanging low and I was looking down. After the teacher called role, he handed out some worksheets and set us to work. Everyone immediately started talking, and not working. I was looking at the back of Kyle's head, daydreaming, when I thought I saw his head slowly turning towards me. I quickly grabbed my pencil and pretended to be doing my work.

"You like Pierce The Veil?" Escapes Kyle's lips. I look up.

"Yeah, t-they're my f-favorite." I say with a stutter, yet managing to say it without completely embarrassing myself.

"Cool. What's you're favorite song?" He asks. I felt my heart beating rapidly and my hands started getting clammy.

"Umm, I, uh, Bulls in the Bronx" I reply.

He chuckled ever so slightly. "Me too." He says before turning around, and not uttering another word to me for the rest of the class period.
