We're moving

Ahh, finally. It's officially here. SUMMER! The sun is shining, the bees are buzzing, the -

"HEY IMOGEN, COME INSIDE!"

aaaaaaand there it is. I was sitting in a rocking chair on my front porch drinking some peace tea and staring into the sky. Everything looked so beautiful in the summer. I'm finally free of homework, school gossip, and drama. The only bad thing about summer is all the mosquitoes. I was taking everything in before my mother rudely interrupted me. I simply sigh, pick up my peace tea, and walk inside of my house.

As I walk in, I see my mother and father sitting at the dinner table. They were both looking at me funny. I think it's worry on their face? No. Sadness, I can tell from a mile away.

"Imogen, sit down honey. We need to talk to you." I do as I'm told, I take a seat right next to my mother. "So, let me start off by saying that I'm sorry, and that were saddened by this too and -"

"Um wha-what happened?" I ask nervously as I start popping my knuckles. (It's a nervous habit of mine)

"Honey, your dad got a really great job offer and we're planning on taking it. In in two weeks, we're moving to -"

"WHAT?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE'RE MOVING? WHAT ABOUT OUR HOUSE, MY SCHOOL, MY FRIENDS, MY -"

"Imogen, I know, I'm sad too. But we already made a down payment on a beautiful new home, it's close by a high school. I'm sure you'll make new friends honey. I'm sorry Imogen, but it's something we have to do. It's what's best for our family. We have the opportunity and we're going to take it."

"I know, I know! I'm sorry, okay? Nothing I'm gonna say is going to change it so it's not like I have a choice." I say with a sigh. "But I'm letting you know that I am not happy about this. At. All." I thought I would mention it. "Where are we even moving to?"

"Ohio."
