𝗍𝗁𝗂𝗌 𝗂𝗌 𝗌𝗈 𝗌𝗂𝗅𝗅𝗒 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝗋𝖺𝗇𝖽𝗈𝗆 𝖻𝗎𝗍 𝗂𝗏𝖾 𝖻𝖾𝖾𝗇 𝗍𝗁𝗂𝗇𝗄𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝖺𝗅𝗈𝗍 𝖺𝖻𝗈𝗎𝗍 𝗐𝗁𝖺𝗍 𝗍𝗁𝗂𝗌 𝗏𝖾𝗋𝗌𝗂𝗈𝗇 𝗈𝖿 𝖾𝗅𝗅𝗂𝖾𝗌 & 𝖺𝖻𝖻𝗒𝗌 (𝗉𝗅𝗎𝗌 𝗌𝗄𝗒 𝖻𝖼 𝗐𝖾 𝗌𝗍𝖺𝗇 𝗁𝖾𝗋) 𝗁𝖺𝗇𝖽𝖼𝖺𝗇𝗇𝗈𝗇𝗌 𝗐𝖾𝗋𝖾 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝗂𝖽𝗄 𝗆𝖺𝗒𝖻𝖾 𝗒𝖺𝗅𝗅 𝖺𝗋𝖾 𝖼𝗎𝗋𝗂𝗈𝗎𝗌 𝗍𝗈𝗈 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

𝐄𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐞 - she be tweaking fr 😔 okay but in all honesty this Ellie is the type of bitch to bottle her emotions up so much to the point one little thing sets her off (that has nothing to do with what was bothering her) and lashes out on whoever is in the vicinity (i feel like this is cannon Ellie behavior)

- won't admit to it but she had a hardcore 21- pilots phase in hs (and still secretly listens to them)

- okay but speaking of music- she listens to a lot of classic rock/ new rock, (the smiths, Red Hot Chili Peppers, joy division etc) and rap (more specifically rap like city morgue, suicideboys, juice wrld, and probably lil peep too if we're being honest) but also has a soft spot for shit like tame impala, cigarettes after sex, cage the elephant etc.

- her childhood bedroom has a fuck ton of plastered over spots in her walls (bc she's a wall puncher) from Joel constantly patching them up (he eventually started making her do it herself)

- and speaking of hs, she was lowkey emo/pop punk coded, wearing lots of band tees, ripped black skinny jeans, and always the high tops (that she definitely doodled on)

- she was also naturally smart in school, shit came easy for her but she stopped caring after awhile bc her mouth always got her in trouble when she tried correcting her teachers (she was right about 80% of the time)

- a lot of ppl assume cat is the ex gf that fucked Ellie up but I don't want to shit on cat like that 😭😭 I'm picturing it was a friend of hers that Ellie developed feelings for and the friend led her on hardcoreeee and then continued to cheat on her with dudes YUCK!!

- in this universe, I picture Dina and Ellie definitely sharing a kiss at one point sometime during hs. They were both high and drunk and it was a spur of a moment thing, but immediately got weirded out after the fact and laughed it off.

- Ellie is NOT a shit talker but this girl loves hearing about drama as long as she's not directly involved in it.

- she definitely got suspended from hs a few times for fighting (she got her ass beat but still acted like she won BUT she got her lick back during her senior year bc 17 year old Ellie wasn't fucking around)

- on a more serious topic, her drug addiction started when a close childhood friend of hers (who's she'd always smoke with) started getting into heavier shit, which led to this friend getting involved with not so great people and Ellie got sucked into it bc she just wanted her friend back:(

- ALSO!! (Kinda serious) this Ellie has other mental things going on besides trauma and addiction issues, like possible undiagnosed BPD, or just a personality disorder in general

- Ellie is an unreliable narrator!!! Her emotions and her state of mind heavily affect how she perceives/talks about things.

- high! Ellie is very chill, and bc her tolerance is so high, it kinda just seems like her default personality but drunk Ellie??? She's aggressive. In a way where she could fight just about anyone (men preferably) or she's just aggressively hornyLike she needs a pussy in her mouth ASAP!!

𝐒𝐤𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐫- Lana del Rey girl all the way (starting listening to her when she was 12 and hasn't stopped since)

- also a retired one direction fan but we don't talk about that

- in general she listens to a lot of sad hot girl music lol (the kind you can cry AND pop your pu$$y to)

- I've briefly mention sky's mommy/daddy issues but yall... it's BAD!! She was constantly "falling in love" with her teachers throughout middle and hs   (and definitely had a male English teacher that took advantage of that) yes im projecting

- Skyler is also sometimes a unreliable narrator, not as much as Ellie, but she tends to blind herself with the rose tinted sunglasses if you know what i mean 👀

- She genuinely loves with her whole heart and body like this girl is such an angel and I want to treat her right 🥺 BUT!!! She is a byproduct of a mom who was emotionally manipulative and I think she sometimes uses those same tactics on the people she cares about without realizing (yes I'm projecting again)

- babygirl is smart but requires a more one-on-one approach to grasp certain things (girl autism🤪)

- okay so it's no secret that she's overly sensitive, but it was much worse when she was really young and got picked on bc of it (both by other kids and adults)

- she HATES loud noises, both due to trauma of a violent angry dad and sensory issues

- okay but on a more kinda fucked up note- Sky's attraction to Ellie (not sexual attraction) is bc Ellie shares traits that remind her of both her mom and her dad

- she just wants to feel safe and wanted, therefore it makes her do things out of her character to keep the people she cares about interested (like apologizing to Ellie even if Ellie was the one in the wrong or doing things sexually that she wouldn't normally do etc.)

𝐀𝐛𝐛𝐲- genuinely is the only one in this story that isn't mentally ill lol

- she's extremely family oriented (duh) but I'm picturing she didn't grow up with a mom bc maybe of a terminal illness or something equivalent but her dad stepped up to fill that missing role very early on

- Abby is an angel like deadass. She's extremely loyal to both her friends and whoever she's in a relationship with and tends to give people second chances when they don't deserve it

- Abby's ex was definitely a cheerleader and they were once the schools otp couple bc of their dynamic but her ex was verbally abusive and inattentive towards Abby behind closed doors

- Abby and Nora definitely hooked up a few times after Abby's breakup but both agreed to keep their relationship platonic (feelings started to get in the way on both ends)

- she's a huge nerd like the stereotypical kind, listens to a lot of classical music (bc her dad played a lot of that in the house growing up) and she reads a lot of books (city of thieves, count of monte cristo, the davinci code etc.)

- speaking of music i know i said she listens to classical but this girl lovesss some old school rap/ r&b (don't ask my why i think this I just do) Think shit like Tupac, jay z, wu-tang clan but also j-Cole, drake, frank ocean

- she only started playing football bc she always got told that she'd be good of it bc of her build, which she is but doesn't really care about it that much

- studying to be a doctor (oncologist specifically) bc of what happened to her mom and overall just wanting to help people go through the stages of their diseases

- she unexpectedly knows how to do a lot of random things?? Like this girl can crochet, sew, fix a tire, change the oil in a car, cpr (she really is the jack of all trades)

- AND CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELEIF!!! She doesn't love Skyler lol not in a romantic sense anyway. She just really likes her as a person and values their friendship and can identify with a lot of Skyler's behaviors which is why she tends to get frustrated when she sees Skyler slipping back into a bad cycle with Ellie

- also... idk why but I've always had it in my mind that Abby is attracted to both Ellie and Sky??? Now hear me out bc I know they're like sworn enemies or whatever but I'm picturing Abby's attraction towards Ellie is different than it is with Skyler. Abby recognizes game and she can acknowledge that she can see why Skyler always goes back to Ellie bc she's hot (Abby would never admit this tho)

- Owen and Abby dated on and off throughout hs but they couldn't make it last now they're just friends with no bad blood towards their history

- Abby and Ellie actually really do get along when they're not busy trying to size each other up lol

a/n - this is sooooo fucking messy and I might even delete it but I figured maybe some of you might want to know more about them in this sorry and kinda my thought process for them and I feel like it's hard to convey that and tie it into the actual story line so yeah lol I also kinda wanted to give you guys a little something to tide you over until the next chapter bc I'm very behind!!
