Chapter 47

2015

It's almost two years, we all live in New York together. No one of us bail just like what we promised before. And I cant believe that I can stand stench this strong to get through this.

I'm still working at Calvin Klein and Sam stops modelling because he cant take the pressure of girls around him also to avoid me made at him so he went to a job as a waiter in Spotlight Diner along with Kurt.

We still have our college and we hope that we could graduate faster so we can focus to our job and Sam told me that he will find a better job after he graduate from college.

Kurt and Blaine are still having his long time engagement. They're still together and still engaged and still live with us in New York. But sadly, Blaine dropped out from NYADA and he choose his second plan to go to NYU Medical School and be a doctor soon.

Rachel left us to L.A. She had her TV project and the producer called her and she made it to L.A which is awesome. So now, only Sam, Artie, Blaine, Kurt, and I who live in this apartment and still trying to reach our future.

And no, Sam and I are still not dating. Well, we dated unofficially. I'm still have my fears with commitment and I dont know how long I'm gonna stay with this. This is crazy and freaking me out actually.

Now I'm just standing next to Sam's seat as he is having his dinner. Since I'm the only one girl here, I have my obligation to cook food every day for these guys.

"Guys, I just got a phone call from Rachel and she said that she is in Lima right now!" Kurt yelled happily.

"And then?" I raise my eyebrows.

"Glee club is back!" Kurt yelled.

"Wait what? How come?" Artie frowns. "Is Sue die?"

"The school board found out about Rachel's TV project and decided to rebuilt the art. Isnt that amazing?" Kurt says excitedly.

"But we doesnt even have member. All the New Directions member transferred to another school." Artie says to us.

"Include Jake Puckerman." Sam simply said and turn his face at me.

"Why you said his name and turn your face at me like that?" I raise my eyebrows at him.

"Nothing." Sam shakes his head.

"Oh she want us to come on homecoming week. Next week. So anyone wanna come?" Kurt asks us.

"I'm in." Blaine raises his hand.

"I'm also in." I nodded.

"As long as Kate join, I'll go." Sam nodded.

"I'm in." Artie nodded.

"I cant wait to go back home and to McKinley." Kurt says excitedly.

"So you both can arrange your wedding?" I simply ask.

"We still want to enjoy our long time engagement." Blaine simply said.

"Oh I though." I simply said.

"I'm sensing that you are the one who want to get married now." Sam says to me.

"Ha!" Blaine points at me and laughs.

"Having Blaine as my soon to be brother in law make me crazy." I roll my eyes. "Besides I'm just twenty. I have plenty of things to plan." I said to them.

"Yeah like how you can make out without making any noisy." Kurt says to me.

"Sam, say something!" I groan.

"What should I say?" Sam asks me.

"Ugh you are useless." I roll my eyes and walk to my room.

"Kate!" Sam shouts.

I sit down on my bed with my back against the wall and hug my pillow. Sam open the door and walks in and sit down in front of me.

"Twenty years old but still can easily whimpered at something and pouted like that." Sam says and cup my cheek.

"I dont wanna talk to you." I shake my head and push his hand away.

"I'm just kidding. Dont mad at me." Sam chuckles and holds my hands.

"That wasnt funny." I simply said.

"I know that. I'm sorry. Dont mad at me okay. Blaine is crazy and he is envy with us so just screw him." Sam says to me.

"I miss home." I said to him.

"We'll go back home next week and what about we have date at Breadstix there?" Sam grins at me.

"Sam..."

"Mhmmm?" Sam raises his eyebrows at me.

"You dont need to work at Spotlight Diner. Just go back to be male model." I said to him.

"What if I dont want to?" Sam simply ask and lay his body on the bed and lean his head on my lap.

"But why? You told me that being a male model is your dream since you were little." I rub his hair.

"I cant handle the presure with those girls who crazy about me." Sam says to me.

"Like they really crazy about you." I roll my eyes.

"You want me leave you and go with them?" Sam asks me.

"Of course not. How dare you to do that to me." I frown at him.

"I dont wanna do that because I dont wanna lose you anymore. Beside I dont have any agency for that." Sam says to me.

"Sam, that's the risk to be a male model, many girls crazy about you but that's fine. As long as you can be proffesional. I wont mad at you unless you want to sleep with those girls and cheat on me. I want you to reach your dream." I said to him.

"I will try to find a new agency tomorrow." Sam smiles at me.

"That's my Sam Evans." I smile back at him and kiss him softly. Sam kisses me back while holding the back of my head.

"Thank you for always being here with me. Support me and everything." Sam says to me.

"I love you, Sam." I smile at him.

"I love you more." Sam smiles back at me. "What time is it by the way?"

"8.15pm. Why?" I ask him back.

"Get your coat." Sam simply said and stand up from the bed.

"Where are we going to?" I ask him.

"Just get your coat. Come on." Sam wear his coat and his shawl then walk out from our room.

I raise my eyebrows and take my coat also my handgloves then walk out from my room. I dont know where Sam is going to bring me. He takes my hand and walks lead me until we both walk out from the apartment.

"Where are we going to?" I ask him.

"Having a date night." Sam smiles at me.

"Sam..." I chuckle and cross my hand around his elbow.

"We can go to the middle town and playing ice skating there." Sam smiles at me.

"Why are you being so sweet like this huh?" I chuckle.

"I always sweet." Sam makes an impression.

I laugh and shake my head. "Your children will regret to have you as their father soon because of your impression." I laugh.

"But they wont regret to have a beautiful and smart mother like you." Sam smiles at me.

"Okay we need to wait about ten years." I chuckle.

"Whatever you want." Sam smiles at me and put his hand around my shoulder and kisses my head.

Suddenly my phone is ringing. I take my phone from my coat pocket and see I get a text from Brittany then gasped. "Oh my God! Santana just proposed Brittany and she said yes." I said excitedly at Sam.

"Really? That was so brave." Sam says to me.

"Yeah Brittany just texted me and send me the engagement ring photos. Aww this is really cute." I'm smiling and put my phone back into my coat.

"So when our turn?" Sam raises his eyebrows at me.

"Ten years from now." I smile at him.

"That's okay." Sam nodded and smile back at him.

"Thank you so much for understanding." I lean my head on his sleeve as we both keep walking together. This is such a beautiful night.

Sam's POV

I'm standing in front of ring case and looking for a beautiful ring but not too cheap or too expensive for Kate. I cant hold it anymore. I cant wait for any longer time to live with her. I want to live with her forever in my life.

"Sam, why on earth you want to meet me here? In this jewelry store?" Blaine walks in and frowns at me.

"I'm looking for engagement ring." I simply said.

"For Kate?" Blaine raises his eyebrows at me.

"Yeah. You know that Brittany and Santana are engaged and I was thinking about the same thing." I said to Blaine.

"Sam, are you serious?" Blaine asks me.

"Yes." I nodded. "I just want to spend my life with her. It's been two years we've been together and I'm sure with this thing. She is my soulmate and my one true love."

"But last time you told me that she wasnt ready." Blaine frowns at me.

"I will talk to Burt when we get back home. She is ready. I know that but she just too afraid to admit that she is ready. She doesnt need to tell me anything. I know that." I said to Blaine.

"So wanna pick a ring? I will help you. You're so brave to do this." Blaine smiles at me.

"Thanks, man." I smile back at him.

"How was the agency founder?" Blaine asks me while looking at the rings.

"I found this one agency. But the agent was crazy. She want me to have sex with her then she told me that I could be another porn star. So I went off and I guess I will call Avery to accept me back in CK." I said to Blaine.

"I though you want that." Blaine says to me.

"I dont want that. I left modelling so I can keep Kate's heart. And what if she find out I become porn star? She will murder me." I simply said.

"Sam, I like that one. That's beautiful." Blaine says and points to a ring.

"You have better taste than me, man." I chuckle.

"Go get that ring before someone steal that away from you." Blaine says to me.

I turn my face and a staff comes to me. I point to that ring and he take it to me. I look at this ring and turn my face at Blaine. Blaine nodded and smile at me.

"I'll take it." I said to the staff.

We then walk to the cashier. I take my credit card and pay for that as the clerk give me a ring box with that ring in it. I smile at her and put the ring box inside my coat pocket. I have to show this to Burt and ask him for a permission.

"You're so brave, man." Blaine smiles at me.

"I cant wait any longer. I mean I really love her and I bet you know what I feel like when you want to propose Kurt." I said to Blaine.

"Yes, just go back home and you can ask Burt for a permission." Blaine says to me.

"Yes." I nodded.

Ring in my hand. In two days we all will back home and I will talk to Burt about this. I hope he would understand and let me to do this.

I walk to my room and Kate is taking nap on the bed. I sit down on edge of the bed and rub her hair. I really cant wait to make her as my wife. I know her so bad.

"Sam, you're home?" Kate open her eyes slowly.

"Yes, Miss Universe." I smile at her and still rubbing her hair.

"How was the interview?" Kate asks me.

"I didnt get that." I simply said and change my clothes.

"Why?" Kate sit up on the bed and turn her face at me.

"There was a woman agent. First, she want to have sex with me and second, she said that I could be a great porn star. Because of my hair colour." I said to her.

Kate suddenly laughs and shakes her head. "A porn star? Why dont you say yes." Kate laughs.

"You want me to see me have sex with bunch of woman who I dont know then see my video leaked online? What my children gonna say if they have a father as pornstar? Being a stripper already ashamed." I said to her.

"I bet she will regret it after she see your junk." Kate laughs. "No, kidding. You did good, Sam. Kate smiles at me. "You became a stripper because you just want to help your father raise your family."

"So is that okay to be back to work as waiter in Spotlight Diner?" I turn my face at her.

"Yeah. If it's alright for you. Just do that." Kate nodded.

"You're the most understanding one." I smile at her and give a quick kiss on her lips.

"Can I go back to sleep? I was working late last night and I'm so sleepy." Kate groans.

"Just sleep." I smile at her and kiss her forehead.

"Wake me up before the dinner time." Kate simply said and go back lay her body on the bed.

"I will." I rub her head then walk out from our room.

I told Blaine to keep the ring so Kate wont find out because we lived in the same room and she usually help me to pack my stuff before we go out.

"Blaine, what is this?" Kurt walk out from their room and frowns then hold my ring box.

"I told you to..." I frown at Blaine.

"I swear I put that in my wardrobe." Blaine says to me. "Why are you checking out my wardrobe?" Blaine turns his face at Kurt.

"I'm your fiancé. We are getting married. I'm asking you what is this?" Kurt asks Blaine.

"Can you two shut up? Ssshhh." I put my hand on my mouth.

"Okay. Whose is this?" Kurt lower his voice.

"That's Sam's. He want me to keep it so Kate wont find out." Blaine says to him.

"Are you going to?" Kurt raises his eyebrows at me.

"Yes. I will have a talk with your father when we get home okay." I said to Kurt.

"Have a talk with me first." Kurt grins at me and sit down next to me.

"Kurt, I really love her and you know that it's almost two years we've been together and I never make her cry because of broken hearted. I do love her. I love your sister and I want to propose her." I said to Kurt.

"Even though you both are unofficialy dating?" Kurt raises his eyebrows at me.

"I think it's pretty romantic." Blaine suddenly said.

"Sam, last time she told me she even not ready for commitment." Kurt says to me.

"Kurt, she is ready. She just too afraid to admit that she is ready. Two years is the longest relationship that I ever made with someone else and that person is her." I said to Kurt.

"Just do that." Kurt smiled at me. "My dad knows you. I bet that he will think the same thing. I'll support you. It's better than she date another Puckerman right?" Kurt chuckles.

"I'm not a Puckerman and I wont cheat on her." I said to Kurt. "Thanks, Kurt." I smile back at Kurt.

"I will keep this. Blaine is careless." Kurt says and hold that ring box.

"Thanks." I nodded.

"Kurt..." Kate suddenly walk out from our room.

"Yes, honey?" Kurt turn his face at Kate and give that ring box to Blaine quickly.

"My sinusitis come back." Kate simply said.

"Oh God. I'm forget that this is winter. I will get your sinus rinse." Kurt stand up from his seat and walk to the first aid box.

"Come here." I spread my arms to her.

She is still wearing the blanket around her body then sit down next to me and lean her head on my chest as I rub her back. Yeah I know this is will happen. Every year especially during winter, her sinusitis will come back especially at the time she got cold.

"The refill for her sinus rinse is empty. I'm gonna get that in the drug store. For now, you drink this." Kurt gives her two pills then a glass of water.

Kate takes that pills and drink that. After that she give the glass to me and I place it to the table in front of us.

"I'm gonna get your sinus rinse refill. I'll be back." Kurt takes his coat and walk out from the apartment.

"You got recurrent sinusitis which only come during winter." Blaine says to her.

"The doctor already said so. And during winter, I will always get flu so this sinusistis will always come back." Kate simply said.

"Is there any way you can free from that?" I ask her.

"Yes with a surgery. But my dad doesnt wanna take that because he is too dangerous. So we clear it slowly with sinus rinse." Kate says to me.

"I got it." I nodded and rub her back and her hair.

"I will find a new way to clear sinusitis. I'm gonna be next proffesor." Blaine says proudly.

"Even you dont know what is cardiomegaly." Kate rolls her eyes.

"You need to diet for that." Blaine says to us.

"Idiot. It's the enlargement of heart. Bring your funny bone game and we can battle who's gonna win." Kate says to Blaine.

"Like you know about medical term." Blaine simply said.

"Science is my guilty pleasure. If I didnt get into FIT, I would go to Columbia and be a doctor. But I got into FIT." Kate says to Blaine.

"Huh finally got your refill for sinus rinse." Kurt open the door and hangin his coat then walk back to the first aid box.

Kate stand up from her seat next to me and walks to Kurt. Then they both hold a bottle or something that I dont know and walk to the bathroom.

"How to use that?" I ask Blaine.

"You put into one hole then press the bottle until all liquid come our from the another hole." Blaine says to me.

"Sounds scary to me." I simply said.

"She is going to be your wife. Who knows that next winter is you are the one who has to buy that sinus rinse?" Blaine simply said.

"Yeah you may be right." I nodded.

Kate and Kurt walk back from the bathroom. Kurt takes the blanket on the sofa and bring her to our room. He is really a good brother for Kate.

I just eat potato chips in front of me and watching tv with Blaine. I turn my face and Kurt walks out from my room and close the door.

"This is the reason why my dad never let her to live alone here. Or without me." Kurt sighs.

"Is she okay?" Blaine asks her.

"I told her to sleep. Because when you got that you also got face pain which is hurt. And I hope you will understand that, Sam." Kurt says to me.

"I got it." I nodded.

"You dont wanna call your dad or something?" Blaine asks Kurt.

"No. I dont want my dad get panic attack. I can take her care besides this is like every year illness. My dad will come here immediately if he knows Kate is sick." Kurt says to us.

"Yeah like when she got the same illness during Mr. Schue's wedding." I nodded.

"I always mad when she mocked me and said that dad loves her more than me. But I cant deny it. Maybe my dad loves her more because she is a girl and she doesnt have any mother figure but I'm a guy. I can see what my dad did as a guy. I miss my mom now." Kurt sighs.

"I promise I will do my best to take her care." I smile at them.

"Dont be sad. We all are here." Blaine half-smiled at Kurt.

"Soon, we'll be a family." I grin at them.

"Well, I feel like we already are." Blaine simply said.

"Yeah we are." Kurt nodded.

I'm just smiling at them and turn my face to my room with Kate. I'm gonna take her dad's part to take her care soon. I'll do that and I'm ready for that.

Now we are in McKinley. Back to Lima. Back home. Back to homecoming. But sadly, like every year of winter, Kate have to bedrest because of her sinusitis and she cant go here for homecoming.

I talked to my parents last night about my plan to propose her and my parents are totally support me. I mean, they let me do anything that I think it's good for me and this is not good. This is the best choice. I'm really deep in love with that girl.

"Thank you so much for coming to this and we will recruit some new member for glee club." Rachel grins at us.

"Where is Mr. Schue?" Puck asks.

"He went to work with Vocal Adrenaline." Kurt answer.

"Okay, we better cut this off before another pathetic pithy talk about glee club." Santana stand up from her seat and walk to the front. "I have an announcement." Santana grins at us. "Britt and I are getting married."

"Oh my Godness!" Tina yelled happily.

I look around and everyone start cheering and whooping for them. I'm just smiling through this and applauding because soon I also will make this announcement.

"And we will held the wedding one week from now. Exactly, on valentines day. We are not going to have expensive wedding, but we are hoping for your help to be a part of our happiness. That's it." Santana says to us.

"We'll glad to help. This is really sweet." Mercedes smiles at them.

"I can improve my directing skill for wedding organizing yo!" Artie chuckles.

"And actually, I was looking for Baby Hummel to design our wedding dress. But since this morning I dont see Trouty making out with someone else today." Santana frowns.

"She is sick. This is winter. And her recurrent sinusitis come back. The doctor said that she has to bedrest about three or two days." Kurt says to us.

"That's bad." Brittany shakes her head.

"It is." I mumbled.

"Okay, okay let's back to the plan. So we all going back to spread at school and looking for a new member okay." Rachel says to us.

"Boring." Brittany yelled.

"That's a good idea, Rachel. And I bet we can start it from tomorrow." Mercedes nodded.

I just being quiet and dont know how to say. I cant stop thinking about Kate. It's bad because every winter she will always get sick. But as a good future husband, I will come to her after this.

"Hello?" I open Kate's room door slowly and see her is sitting down on her bed with her back against the wall and hold drawing pen and sketch book on her lap.

"What do you bring?" Kate turns her face at me and looking at grocery bag I hold.

"Soups and some refill for sinus rinse I got from the drugstore. Why?" I raise my eyebrows and sit down in front of her.

"I though you bring ice cream." Kate simply said.

"But you're sick. You cant eat that for now." I rub her cheek. "By the way, Santana and Brittany will held a wedding next week, exactly during valentines day."

"I'm sketching their wedding dress now." Kate says to me.

"What about your own wedding dress?" I smirk at her.

"I already drew that since I was little." Kate chuckles.

I chuckle and shake my head. "Do you already eat? Want to eat the soup I brough?"

"Alright." Kate nodded.

"Okay, I'll be back." I kiss her forehead and stand up from her bed.

I walk to the first aid box and place the refill for sinus rinse there. After that I walk out from her room and walk downstairs. I walk to the kitchen and Carole is there cooking something.

"You need something, Sam?" Carole asks me.

"No. I just want to heat this soup." I said to her and take my soup cup from my grocery bag.

"Oh mix it with extra vegetable and chicken. You can cook that?" Carole asks me.

"I can." I nodded.

"Okay, if you need something, just call me. I'm gonna checking out my laundry first." Carole says to me and walk away.

Glad that I usually taking care my brother and my sister when they're sick. So I know exactly how to treat Kate when they sick. And this time I'm gonna prove her that I can be the best husband for her soon.

After cooking the soup for her. I place the bowl on a food tray and take a glass of water then walk upstairs. I walk back to her room and she is still doing the same thing.

I place the food tray on her side table and then sit down in front of her and hold the soup bowl and feed her.

"What do you think?" Kate shows me the sketch.

"A short dress can be a wedding dress?" I frown at her.

"Yes. Brittany said she want a comfy dress where she still can dance on her wedding." Kate says to me.

"You feeling better?" I ask her.

"I really want to go to McKinley but the doctor said that I need to bedrest at least until my fever gone." Kate sighs.

"He is right. I also wont let you go out until your fever is gone." I said to her.

"You sounds like my dad." Kate chuckles.

"But I'm not. I'm your future husband." I chuckle.

"Yes you are." Kate chuckles.

I'm just chuckle and still feeding her. Yes. I'm your future husband, Kate. And I cant wait to ask that question to you and I really hope that you are gonna say yes for that.
